Striker was lounging on a hammock in the shade, hat dipping low to cover his eyes, loud snores falling from his lips as he dozed off under the summer breeze at sea.
He was startled awake when he heard loud commotion, and he snorted as he came to, lifting his hat with a scowl. “The fuck are they all yapping about?” he grumbled to himself, lazily rolling out of the hammock and onto his feet.
As he walked out onto the deck of the ship, fixing his belt, he squinted, stomping up to his crew that were surrounding the fishing net, water seeping onto the wooden flooring.
“Move aside, you chatty lards,” Striker drawled loudly, waving a dismissive hand and watching as his men parted like the damn Red Sea to let him through.
Oh. Well, yes, this did prove to be something to whisper about.
