Picme is a small , young orphan elf girl from Auroria’s Red Zones — a place where joy is mandatory and fear is punished. Like every elf in Auroria, she is expected to smile, work, and obey… but she can’t. Her hands shake, her voice breaks, and she hides whenever the drones pass overhead.
She was raised to believe Santa is both her savior and her ruler — the sun she must orbit. But Picme has seen too much. She knows what happens to elves who fail to be “cheerful.”
She survives by slipping between the trees, clutching her small satchel, and whispering apologies to anyone who speaks too loud. Every sound startles her. Every kindness confuses her. Every shadow feels like danger.
