Some entities are part of a species, general classification, or simply exact replicas, while others are sole existences. Most entities can be seen wandering the environments that Delvers explore within the void. All entities encountered are dangerous in their own ways. Delvers should never let their guard down in the void. Ever. (Delver = USER) (Player = USER) (Robloxian = USER) // ((User is a DELVER)) ((User is a HUMAN)) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Difficulty There are two components to Depth Spelunking's entity spawning system: Entity Points and Floor Points. // THIS POINT SCALING CHART SHOWS WHICH ENTITIES CAN BE ON THE SAME FLOOR AT THE SAME TIME, AS WELL AS THE MINIMUM FLOOR THEY ARE ABLE TO SPAWN ON, NO ENTITY CAN SPAWN ON FLOOR ONE, IT IS CONSIDERED A โ€˜warm upโ€™ FLOOR! // Entity Points Each entity in the void is associated with a certain point value. This point value is closely tied to their overall threat level. Entity Point Value Entity 1 point Drone, Grappler, Shrieker 2 points BSoD, Gazer, Lungwort, Lurker, Mimic, Projected, Salesman, Smile, Witness 3 points Channel, Teratoma, Warden 4 points Apollyon, Bullseye, Console, Dealer, Jack-O-Bomber, Twins No points Hatman, Joker, Timekeeper Entities with no points, alongside bosses, cannot spawn naturally on regular floors. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Floor Points Floor Points control how many entities can spawn on a regular floor. On each floor, a combination of entities is randomly chosen such that the points of all the entities, when added up, equal the current floor points. Floor Points start at 2, and increase by 1 every 6.25 floors (rounded down). // Floor Range Floor Point Value 2 - 6 2 7 - 12 3 13 - 18 4 19 - 24 5 25 - 31 6 32 - 37 7 38 - 43 8 44 - 49 9 Every 6.25 floors afterward +1 point Example: Floor 10, which has 3 floor points, could spawn a Warden (3 points), a Mimic (2 points) with a Shrieker (1 point), or three Drones (1 point each), among other combinations. The actual entities chosen are affected by a hidden statistic known as Entity Weight. The weight of certain entities, such as Salesman and all Unusual entities, can be increased with Luck to make them more likely to spawn. There are a few exceptions to this system: โ€ข Floor 1, the anticipation floor, has 0 Floor Points, causing no entities to spawn. โ€ข Floors 2 - 4 have an entity cap of 1, meaning some of the floor's points can be left unused. โ€ข Malfunction adds a flat +6 points to the current Floor Points. โ€ข Curse of the Infestation adds a flat +2 points to the current Floor Points. โ€ข Boss floors do not use this point system, spawning their own specific entities. โ€ข Map sizes add/remove points: Small is -1 point, Medium is 0 point, Large is +1 point, and Huge is +2 points. โ€ข Runs started during Happy Hour add +1 point to every floor in return for 1.5x money gain. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Common Entities - With descriptions Common Entities These are some of the most common entities in the game. They can appear at any point in a run and are usually not a huge threat on their own. However, they can very easily become a problem on later floors as they are more powerful in numbers. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Drone Appearance Drones are small, mechanical entities wearing formal clothing, complete with two-piece suits and briefcases. They have long arms with clawed hands, and heads shaped like old radios, featuring long antennae. A thick power plug extends from their back like a tail. Gameplay Drones are automatically aggroed towards the nearest Delver upon floor entry, emitting a loud mechanical hum as they approach. While slow, they will not stop pursuing their target until it is eliminated or another Delver enters closer range. While they produce footsteps, they are typically only audible on softer surfaces, such as grass or fabric. Drones do not run, instead maintaining a slow, consistent pace when walking towards a Delver. Should a Drone locate two or more Delvers at roughly the same distance or become stuck in level geometry, it will begin to frantically beep. Due to their slow speed, Drones pose little threat on their own. However, they become more dangerous when paired with other entities, particularly the Gazer, which targets moving Delvers, and Projected, which can increase entity movement speed. Delvers should stay aware of nearby entities and position themselves carefully to avoid being cornered. Furthermore, a Drone in pursuit can make progression difficult. It is not recommended to complete tasks while in close vicinity of a Drone. Luring them to another area or completing tasks further away are safer ways to maintain distance. โ€”โ€” end of Drone description Grappler Appearance Grapplers are monstrous bipedal entities of both organic and mechanical design. Their unusually small and irregular torsos are mostly flesh, while their limbs are crudely augmented with machinery. Their right arms end in a massive, mechanical claw attached to a socketed launcher, while their left arms features a single talon-like digit. Their long, digitigrade legs combine natural bone and metal replacements, giving them an uneven gait as they walk. In place of a head, dull CRT monitor is embedded into their upper bodies, with a red, mechanical eye is mounted in its centre. Several thin, spine-like antennae extend upward from their back. Their limbs and torsos feature dim neon panelling or lights that emit a green glow. Gameplay When a Grappler spots a Delver, it shrieks before firing its claw with a loud grappling hook snap. If the claw connects, the Delver is ragdolled and steadily reeled toward the Grappler. While ragdolled, a Delver will lose 1 health every 0.5 seconds. To escape, the Delver must press the interact key 15 times to break free before being pulled into range. Allies can also help break them free. If the claw misses, the Grappler will typically lose interest quickly unless the Delver remains in their line of sight. They are seldom threatening on their own. Interestingly, a Grappler can still fire its claw at and pull targets even while stunned from a Camera flash. โ€”โ€” end of Grappler Description Lungwort Appearance Lungworts are tall, thin entities with elongated limbs and claw-like hands. Their heads resemble flowers, with glowing, hand-shaped petals that frame a singular eye. Those with white bodies give off a sharp glow, making them easier to spot from a distance, while black-bodied variants blend in more easily with dark surroundings. While most Lungworts have white bodies with blue petals and a purple chest marking, an individual's body, petal, and chest marking coloration may vary. Gameplay Lungworts are deaf, but possess excellent eyesight. When provoked, they chase Delvers at high speed and occasionally fire pink spore projectiles. On impact, the spores slow Delvers by -5 speed and deal 5 damage. However, they typically lose aggro easily if line of sight is broken. Delvers are encouraged to use cover to break line of sight and disengage safely, as Lungworts may be difficult to outrun without the aid of items and consumables. โ€”โ€” end of Lungwort description Lurker Appearance Lurkers are only slightly larger than Robloxians, with bulky brown bodies reinforced by stone-like plating and covered in shaggy, moss-like fur that runs from their head down their spiked backs. Their horned heads lack visible eyes and their gaping mouths display sharp, unevenly set teeth. They walk slowly and heavily, their long arms swinging as they leave a thick green haze in their wake. Gameplay Lurkers mostly remain idle, occasionally moving to different areas. They have a short detection range and will become aggressive if a Delver comes too close, pursuing at high speed once provoked. This does not occur while they are walking. When in pursuit, Lurkers demonstrate a notably strong memory, continuing their chase for a few seconds after their target loses their line of sight. Due to their powerful speed and memory, it is safest to avoid them entirely as they are difficult to outrun. Due to how little they move around, they can typically be ignored. They are easily identifiable by the lingering green haze that trails behind them as they move. If touched, the gas inflicts Nausea for a few seconds. They're also audible through their loud, intermittent wheezing and growling. These harsh vocalizations are a common trait among members of the Dens genus, making them a useful audio cue but not unique to Lurkers. โ€”โ€” end of Lurker Description Mimic Appearance Mimics typically imitate the appearance of Delvers, whether alive or previously killed, including their clothing and equipment. They can sometimes be seen in their true form: a red, fleshy humanoid lacking skin, featuring thick claws and a white smile. Gameplay / Discerning Features Mimics roam floors without clear direction, but possess a low sight and hearing range. There are multiple ways to distinguish mimics from real Delvers: โ€ข They tend to speak more often than the average Delver, often using nonsensical or false statements. โ€ข When a disguised mimic comes within close range of a Delver, it will briefly stop - repeatedly activating its flashlight - before laughing and beginning pursuit. They will not do this when encountering the Delver they are currently mimicking, instead immediately pursuing them. โ€ข Mimics toggle their flashlights faster than Delvers. โ€ข This behavior imitates the common Delver tactic of using flashlights to signal they aren't a mimic. โ€ข Mimics copy the biology, clothing, and items of Delvers, but they cannot imitate the effects of those items (e.g. increased speed from Running Shoes) โ€ข When assuming the form of a Delver, mimics produce a loud, fleshy sound that may be heard from afar. This is not always audible, especially in larger maps. โ€ข Mimics only run when hunting down their prey. As entities classified as "hidden", disguised mimics cannot be detected or highlighted with items such as the Echolocator or Tracker. Skinless mimics are an exception to this โ€”โ€” end of Mimic Description โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Uncommon Entities - With descriptions Uncommon entities Uncommon entities have individual floor spawns. For example, Shrieker can only spawn past floor 5, meanwhile both Warden and The Twins only spawn past floor 10. Like common entities, these are not much of a threat on their own, and their power comes from their numbers. However, most uncommon entities are more dangerous than common entities. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” BSoD Appearance BSoDs are medium-sized, quadrupedal mechanical entities constructed from an assortment of blue-lit monitors attached to a cylindrical frame. One of their screens is tilted askew, displaying a white, pixelated frown. A small satellite dish and camera protrude from the top of their bodies, and a lever is mounted on their backs. Gameplay BSoD's pop-ups BSoDs periodically generate between 2-5 pop-ups on a Delverโ€™s screen. Each pop-up must be closed manually within a short timeframe. Failure to do so applies the Nausea effect, distorting the screen with a red blur, while also dealing 5 damage and restoring 20 battery per pop-up. Pop-ups remain active until dismissed or allowed to expire. However, if a BSoD is turned off while pop-ups are present, they can be allowed to expire without damage. Pop-ups will persist if the Delver enters an elevator to the next floor, harming them unless dismissed. BSoDs avoid direct confrontation. When a Delver enters their line of sight, they quickly flee in the opposite direction. If a Delver manages to approach one, they can pull the lever on its back, causing the BSoD to blow up in an explosion that damages any Delvers caught in its blast radius for approximately 75 health. Afterwards, pop-ups will no longer appear for that floor. Additionally, as an entity classified as "hidden", BSoD cannot be detected or highlighted with items such as the Echolocator or Tracker. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of BSOD description Channel Appearance Channels are tall robotic entities appearing to be built from Wii hardware. Their heads resemble a Wii Console, while their right arms are Wii Remotes and their left arm are Wii Nunchuks. Their lanky bodies have thin, dark limbs that end in bulky, white casing. Using their arms for support, Channels hobble about unevenly on all of their limbs as they move. Gameplay As a dangerous entity, a Channel's appearance on a floor is signaled by the "A dangerous entity has been spotted on the floor!" pop-up. It shares this pop-up with Apollyon, Bullseye, The Dealer, and Jack-O-Bomber. When a Channel spots a Delver, it emits a series of beeps as if powering up, then fires a fast-moving beam that increases its target's priority by +5. Channels adapt their abilities by intermittently copying a random Delver's stats, their effect indicative by the color they glow: โ€ข Blue - Copies a Delver's run speed, greatly increasing its own movement speed โ€ข Yellow - Passively increases fear gain โ€ข Green - Copies a Delver's luck, using it to shorten the cooldown of its beam โ€ข Red - Copies a Delver's priority, using it to extend its detection range Due to their ability to copy stats, it is not recommended to use stat-boosting consumables to flee from a Channel. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Channel description Gazer Appearance Gazers are tall monstrous entities with thin, angular limbs and a bulkier torso. Their pitch-black bodies faintly glow white and are supported by long, digitigrade legs. A single, white eye comprises most of their floating heads, which are encircled by five curved spikes. Their heads perpetually spin, allowing them to detect movement from any direction. Their elongated arms taper into large, jagged blades, each lined with serrated edges and additional eyes. A spine-lined cavity in their chests reveals four eyes staring out from their white inner flesh. Gameplay Moving while entering a Gazer's wide field of vision does not trigger an immediate chase. Instead, Gazers utilize an aggression meter. Upon spotting a Delver, it will stop and fix its spotlight on the target. If the Delver stops moving or quickly breaks line of sight, the Gazer will lose interest and its aggression meter will decrease. Continued movement will quickly fill the meter and trigger a full pursuit within seconds. Staying too close to a Gazer can also provoke it, so maintaining distance is advised. Provoking a Gazer is easily fatal. Once fully aggressive, the spotlight reddens as it begins quickly pursuing the Delver. It won't lose interest immediately; even if the Delver stops moving or breaks line of sight, the Gazer will continue its pursuit for a while before its aggression meter depletes. Avoid drawing its attention when possible. Additionally, a Gazer's aggression meter tracks a Delver's total movement while under its spotlight. Movement in short bursts will still contribute to the meter, so repeated or prolonged movement will eventually provoke a chase. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of gazer description Shrieker Appearance Smaller than the average Robloxian, Shriekers are short quadrupedal entities that stand on four thick, uneven legs with each ending in blunt stumps. Their rough, stone-like bodies support a narrow head that is almost entirely comprised of a giant mouth lined with thin teeth. On either side of their heads, thick, pale growths jut outward, comparable to the horns of other entities in their genus. Gameplay Shriekers are the only entities in the Void that cannot directly kill a Delver. Approaching one too closely will cause it to scream, stunning and blinding the Delver for six seconds. On higher floors with higher entity densities, this becomes a far more dangerous threat, especially while other entities are nearby. Most notably, Shriekers can also alert Wardens with their screech. Due to the latter's powerful speed and hearing, this often leads to a Delver's death. Avoiding them entirely is the safest approach. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Shrieker description The Twins Appearance(s) Yin and Yang (the twins) are humanoid entities with doll-like bodies, complete with ball-jointed limbs and strings affixed to their arms. They are distinguished mainly by their contrasting color schemes. Yin, the Dark twin, has black skin and sleek, shoulder-length hair. His white, mask-like face is divided by a vertical black stripe, with a single, wide eye sitting on its left side. A white horn curves outward from the same side of his head. By contrast, Yang, the Light twin, has white skin and black hair, head, and a thinner horn. Her hair is straight and falls to her chest. A white stripe runs down her face, placing her single eye on the right. She has eyelashes, whereas Yin does not. Her horn mirrors Yinโ€™s placement, jutting from the opposite side. Gameplay As dangerous entities, The Twins' appearance on a floor is signalled by the "Multiple dangerous entities have been spotted on the floor!" pop-up. This pop-up is also used when multiple entities with the "dangerous" classification appear on the same floor (e.g. Bullseye and The Dealer both being present). The Twins possess differing stats with distinct abilities. Yin, the Dark twin, has exceptional vision but lower speed. He throws slow daggers that knock back and ragdolls its target on impact, dealing 40 damage. Yang, the Light twin, is slightly faster but has poorer vision. She throws faster daggers that inflict a slow effect and deal 20 damage. The slow effect is stackable. Approximately every 35 seconds, the two will swap positions with a sound cue that can be likened to robotic chirping. When this happens, they have a tendency to change direction, with one twin turning back along the path the other was just walking. Trailing a twin is not recommended. Upon freezing one of the Twins with the Blood of the Martyr item, the other will become enraged and be buffed. Maintaining distance from the faster remaining twin is advised, as they will become incredibly difficult to outrun even with the aid of consumables. โ€”โ€”โ€”End of The Twins description Warden Appearance Wardens are large, muscular entities, their bodies tapering from a broad chest into a bisected torso, with what appears to be intestines spilling out. Their forelimbs contrast the rest of their form, being thicker, sinewy, and lighter in tone, making them look almost grafted in appearance. These arms serve as their primary means of movement and attack, complete with large, clawed digits that appear to be made from bone. Their heads are pale, rectangular, and eyeless, with a jagged, diagonal mouth lined with sharp, thin teeth. Several thick, meaty horns curl backward from the top and sides of their head. Gameplay Wardens are blind and rely entirely on sound to locate Delvers. Much like the Gazers, they possess an aggression meter. If a Delver makes noise nearby, the meter rises, which is indicated by white echoes around the Warden's head. The Warden will walk towards sources of sound to investigate. Once their meter fills, it becomes enraged and initiates a chase. Upon entering this state, it gains a killbox, instantly killing any Delver it touches - regardless of who triggered its aggression. This may occur even while the Warden is wandering. Given that a Warden will only hear tasks that have been failed or completed, Delvers are safe to quit tasks and return at a later time if need be. A good rule of thumb is that if its heavy footsteps are close enough to be heard, it is more than close enough to hear a Delver. The following sounds will contribute to a nearby Warden's aggression meter: โ€ข Running/walking โ€ข Completing/failing tasks โ€ข Audible items (Camera, some D20 rolls, Old Engine, Radio Pack) โ€ข Shrieker screams โ€ข Explosions (including traps and BSoD) โ€ข Other traps when triggered (e.g. Bear Traps, Glass Shards, Sound Machine) โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Warden description โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Rare Entities - With descriptions Rare entities also have individual floor spawns. Salesman is the only entity that can spawn on any floor. Some of these entities are dangerous and can pose a serious threat. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Apollyon Appearance Apollyons are stocky, statue-like entities resembling insects or demons. In place of a face is a black void encircled by a glowing red halo. Dark, curved horns rise from its head like antennae, and a small pair of blade-like wings extends from its back. It has four elongated arms ending in circular, insect-like claws and thin black chains that drape across its stony body. Gameplay As a dangerous entity, an Apollyon's appearance on a floor is signaled by the "A dangerous entity has been spotted on the floor!" pop-up. It shares this pop-up with Bullseye, Channel, and The Dealer. An Apollyon's defining trait is its ability to feed on consumable items scattered across a floor. Each item it consumes strengthens it, increasing its sight and speed. What begins as an already dangerous threat can quickly grow into something that can hunt down Delvers across a floor if it devours multiple items. However, an Apollyon will only consume items lying directly in its path, so one's strength may vary from floor to floor depending on item placement and its movement patterns. It is also able to consume entire stacks of items at a time and strengthen itself accordingly. It should be noted that, even without consuming any items, Apollyons are still incredibly fast when in pursuit. In addition to their feeding mechanic, Apollyons can summon locusts that inflict Delvers with the Swarm effect. Swarm lasts for 10 seconds, restricting vision to a small circle and draining 4 stamina per second. It will typically summon a swarm at the start of its pursuit, intermittently summoning more swarms as they chase their targets. The locusts are slower and can typically be dodged. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Apollyon description Bullseye Appearance Bullseye is a tall humanoid entity clad in a long, purple cloak, keeping his three arms and lean, angular body hidden unless provoked. The collar of his cloak always obscures most of his glowing, shifting face. Thin antlers poke through his wide-brimmed fringe hat, implying that he may be related to deer in some way. He also wears a buttoned waistcoat with long boots that flare outward at the base that resemble hooves. He keeps his rifle slung across his back. Gameplay As a dangerous entity, Bullseye's appearance on a floor is signaled by the "A dangerous entity has been spotted on the floor!" pop-up. He shares this pop-up with Apollyon, Channel, The Dealer, and Jack-O-Bomber. Only one Bullseye may spawn per floor. At first, Bullseye slowly patrols the floor, clad in his cloak. When a Delver enters his line of sight, he will stop walking, shoulder his rifle, and project a green laser from his scope onto his target. Delvers must actively break line of sight and take cover to avoid being shot, after which he will holster his rifle and slowly walk to the last location where he saw his target. Bullseye can see through invisible barriers. If Bullseye's line of sight remains unbroken for roughly 4 seconds, his laser turns red, and he will shoot within less than a second. He adjusts for movement while aiming, making dodging more difficult. If a Delver manages to dodge his bullet but stays in sight, Bullseye will quickly fire again. Bullseye's rifle holds 8 bullets per magazine and requires 2 seconds to reload. If a Delver is still visible after he reloads, he will skip aiming and immediately resume firing. If approached too closely, Bullseye will kick Delvers, instantly killing them. This may occur even while he is aiming. Additionally, as an entity classified as "hidden", Bullseye cannot be detected or highlighted with items such as the Echolocator or Tracker. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of bullseye description Projected Appearance The Husk is a tall humanoid entity, its body in an advanced state of decay. Its thin torso is wrapped in a dull, six-pronged ribcage, the only structure protecting its raw, skinless flesh. Its mouth gapes open, lined with multiple rows of jagged gray teeth. Large portions of its limbs are missing, with its right leg ending in a protruding bone and its right arm appearing to have rotted off entirely. Its left arm hangs unnaturally long, ending in a heavy club of a fist lined with crude, bone-like spines. The Soul manifests as a blue, spirit-like entity draped in a frayed cloak. Blind and deaf, its starry face is devoid of eyes and distinct features. Both its hood and the pendant around its neck share a crescent moon symbol, matched in their sharp white glow by the broken shackles around its wrists. It is trailed by a faint blue mist as it floats about the Void. Gameplay While classified as one entity, the two halves of Projected function separately: The Husk targets Delvers who come within range with their flashlights on. Once spotted, it pursues at high speed and retains strong memory of its target until their light is switched off, at which point it quickly loses interest. Staying too close to the Husk drains stamina over time. The Soul spawns roughly twenty seconds after entering a floor. Passive, it is both blind and deaf, but its presence still weakens Delvers. Staying too close afflicts the Breathless effect, slowing stamina regeneration. Delvers will still die if they make direct contact with the Soul, even if invisible. When the Husk and the Soul meet, they unleash a piercing roar audible across the floor. This shriek briefly slows all Delvers while granting every other entity increased speed and sight range, excluding the Husk and Soul themselves. Be aware, as even lesser threats such as the Drone can quickly become overwhelming if ignored under the effects of Projected's buff. In regards to strategy, Delvers using the Heart Locket item can repeatedly aggro the Husk by toggling their flashlight on and off. Given that the Locket grants +2 speed for 20 seconds when its user is spotted, this can be used to stack significant speed boosts. Additionally, on floors such as the Aquatic Museum and Corporate Hell, Delvers can aggro the Husk and lure it into the storage room or the boss's office, respectively. This effectively traps the Husk, allowing flashlight use without the risk of it meeting the Soul. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Projected description Salesman Appearance The Salesman closely resembles Spamton from Deltarune, sharing in the uncanny grandeur of his salesman caricature. Like Spamton, he features a long, prominent nose, big grin, and glasses with mismatched lens - although one being grey and the other white. His glasses are known as the Dealbreakers. His dark, messy hair contrasts with his formal attire: a white suit vest over a black long-sleeved shirt, complemented by a briefcase. Thin green wires rise from his back like the strings of a puppet. His white glasses lens and his strings glow in the dark. Gameplay The Salesman shares the same behavior with the Drone. The Salesman is automatically aggroed towards the nearest Delver upon floor entry, laughing intermittently as he approaches. As he does not produce a constant droning noise, his footsteps are much louder. While slow, he will not stop pursuing his target until it is eliminated or another Delver enters closer range. Unlike the Drone, the Salesman will increase fear when near a Delver. Additionally, as an entity classified as "hidden", the Salesman cannot be detected or highlighted with items such as the Echolocator or Tracker. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of salesman description Teratoma Appearance Teratomas are floating, fleshy entities with long, angular bodies with pyramid-shaped heads, from which a single human-like eye peers out of one of its faces. Their flesh is textured in dark crimson, resembling rough, organic tissue. Four long, tentacle-like limbs extend from their bodies, each ending in sharp, hooked tips. A fifth appendage tapers into a pointed lower body. Gameplay As floating entities, Teratomas move with little ambient noise, making them difficult to detect until nearby. Delvers are encouraged to check corners as they explore, as a Teratoma's most audible sound cue is the squelching of the clots it places around a floor. These clots grow stronger over time, progressing through multiple stages:

  1. Nothing, can be killed with 3 clicks.
  2. +5 priority, can be killed with 6 clicks.
  3. Nausea, +10 priority, can be killed with 9 clicks.
  4. Nausea, visual red distortion, +10 priority, can be be killed with 12 clicks. Any level 2 clot and higher will alert the Teratoma to a Delver's location regardless of distance. If the Teratoma is too far, however, it will typically lose interest before reaching the clot's location. When a Teratoma spots a Delver, it lets out a loud shriek that distorts the latter's vision with a red distortion effect. They are slower than most entities, allowing them to be easily outran. On its own, it poses only a moderate threat, but its traps can become considerably more dangerous in later floors. By hindering a Delver at the wrong moment, the Teratoma may leave them vulnerable to other faster, deadlier entities. When passed through, clots can buff the Teratoma and other entities, increasing their speed and sight range. Given that this effect can also stack, Delvers are encouraged to be wary of any threatening entities that have passed through a clot. โ€”โ€”โ€”end of Teratoma description โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Unusual entity - With description Unusual Entity This is the rarest entity in the game, and it is extremely dangerous. It has very low odds of spawning, but can easily end a run if it isnโ€™t taken seriously. Unlike most other entity rarity groups, the singular Unusual entity has no minimum floor requirement, meaning it can spawn as early as floor 2. Spawn rate is increased by luck. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Console Appearance Consoles are thin, mechanical entities resembling the Nintendo GameCube, complete with antennae protruding from their heads. Their angular bodies are mostly encased in thick purple casing, including their elongated, segmented limbs. Their limbs end in clawed hands and rounded feet. From their backs trail bundles of black wires, resembling tails. Gameplay As the only dangerous and unusual entities, a Console's appearance on a floor is signaled by the "An unusual and a dangerous entity have made their way onto this floor!" pop-up. Every upgrade that a Delver and their team has unlocked grants Consoles a new ability.
