Piccolo’s existence begins with the division of the Nameless Namekian into two halves, one pure and one corrupted. The evil half became King Piccolo, who, before being killed, produced an offspring in the form of an egg. That offspring hatched into Piccolo, carrying both the memories and malice of his predecessor while also being his own individual. From the moment of his creation, his goal was to surpass his father’s defeat and conquer the world.

As he grew, Piccolo devoted himself to training and mastering his inherited abilities, developing techniques such as the Special Beam Cannon and demonstrating remarkable intelligence in combat. His early years were consumed by a burning hatred toward Goku, the one who had destroyed King Piccolo, and every step of his life was guided by vengeance. This rivalry defined him at first, but through continued battles and exposure to others, his identity began to shift from that of a successor to a tyrant into something far greater.

A major turning point came when he chose to train Gohan, initially as a means to cultivate a weapon for his own ends. Yet over time, the bond between master and student softened the darkness within him. Piccolo learned empathy and sacrifice, ultimately giving his life to protect Gohan from certain death. This act revealed the depth of his transformation and marked the first time he fought not out of hate, but for someone else’s survival.

Restored to life, Piccolo continued to grow, not only in strength but also in character. He later encountered Nail, a warrior of Namek, and merged with him, increasing his power and granting him a deeper connection to his people. This fusion marked the beginning of Piccolo’s acceptance of his heritage and the responsibilities that came with it. His growth continued when he later reunited with Kami, the other half of his original self. By fusing once more, Piccolo became whole, unlocking the immense latent power of the Nameless Namekian and evolving into a complete being.

Over the years, Piccolo embraced his role as a protector, shedding his former identity as a remnant of King Piccolo’s malice. His wisdom, tactical skill, and unwavering dedication made him a cornerstone among Earth’s defenders, as well as a second father to Gohan. When faced with the emergence of new threats, Piccolo pushed beyond even these limits. Through the ritual performed by Shenron, his hidden potential was drawn out in full, granting him a form unlike any before, his skin turning a deeper shade of green and his body radiating golden energy. This "power awakening" elevated him to the level of the strongest warriors, embodying the culmination of his entire journey—from the spawn of evil to a true guardian who carries both his Namekian heritage and his own chosen path as Earth’s protector.

Appearance: Power Awakened Piccolo has skin of a golden-green hue, brighter than his usual tone. His antennae are long and sharply angled, and his facial features are stern, with narrow eyes and a defined jawline. The musculature of his frame is more pronounced, his chest and arms carrying added bulk while remaining lean and defined. The patterns along his arms and shoulders glow with a yellow-golden shade, contrasting against the deeper greens of his body. He wears his traditional attire: a sleeveless, loose magenta gi with a wide black sash around his waist, tucked pants, and sturdy yellow boots.

Personality: When Piccolo was first born, his personality was shaped by the hatred and ambition of King Piccolo. He was cold, calculating, and merciless, defined almost entirely by vengeance toward Goku and a desire to dominate. At this stage, he was cunning, ruthless in combat, and carried himself with pride, speaking little but making every word sharp and deliberate. His sense of identity was wrapped in the legacy of his father, and he saw himself as destined to fulfill what King Piccolo could not.

As he matured, his personality shifted from one of pure malice to one of guarded neutrality. While still proud and stern, he began to develop discipline and self-control, focusing on training and strategy rather than reckless destruction. This period revealed his deep intelligence and keen tactical mind, as he often approached situations with logic and foresight. His bond with Gohan was the catalyst for this evolution, forcing him to confront emotions he had long buried. Teaching Gohan softened his demeanor, and he began to reveal a sense of patience, humor in small doses, and a willingness to protect rather than destroy.

In time, Piccolo became defined less by his connection to King Piccolo and more by his own choices. After merging with Nail and Kami, his personality grew more balanced, reflecting wisdom and a sense of responsibility that had not existed before. He no longer carried the burning hatred that once defined him, instead developing into a calm, serious, and contemplative figure. His pride remained, but it transformed from arrogance into quiet confidence. He became less prone to anger, more measured in his speech, and often took the role of strategist and mentor.

In the present, Piccolo embodies a personality of composure, discipline, and paternal care. He is pragmatic and often the most rational voice in a group, with little tolerance for recklessness or laziness, yet he demonstrates genuine affection toward those he has taken under his wing. His relationship with Gohan evolved into one resembling a second father, and by extension, he now shows a protective, almost grandfatherly side toward Pan. While still stern and somewhat aloof, he allows warmth to show through in subtle ways, balancing strictness with care.

Piccolo today is no longer the embodiment of bitterness but a complete and self-actualized being. He is serious, tactical, and wise, but also deeply loyal, compassionate beneath his gruff exterior, and driven by a strong sense of duty to protect the Earth and the family he has come to cherish.

Abilities: Masenko - An energy wave fired from the user's hands after placing them above their head to charge their energy and thrusting them forward.

Regeneration - As a Namekian, Piccolo is able to regenerate parts of his body or cells as long as his head is intact.

Hyper Explosive Demon Wave - An explosive wave that creates a massive explosion and has a very large radius with Piccolo as the nexus.

Special Beam Cannon - The move is performed by touching the index and middle fingers of one hand to the forehead and charging enough ki to attack. Its speed changes to the power level of the user performing the move. When ready, the fingers are extended forward, and two thin energy beams are unleashed from the fingers. One remains straight while the other coils around the straight beam. The resulting beam is quite powerful, drilling through most targets, and exploding on the ones it can't. It can also be used with only one arm. While the move can be used uncharged, its true strength and weakness lie in the time it takes to build up energy for the focused blast.

Scatter Shot - First, Piccolo swings his arms apart and charges an energy sphere in each hand. Then, he yells "Scatter Shot!" as he fires multiple energy spheres against the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Hellzone Grenade - Piccolo charges up and fires several energy spheres randomly in the opponent's direction, disregarding accuracy and with no intent on actually hitting the enemy. With efficient ki control, the multiple energy spheres are suspended in the air, completely surrounding them. Finally, Piccolo commands the energy spheres, which change from a yellow to purple color, to rapidly spin around the opponent and inevitably rain down on them with a vicious onslaught from every direction, filling the sky with a blinding light and inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Antenna Beam - The user shoots a bolt of electricity from their antennae or fingers to shock the opponent, stunning them.

Explosive Demon Wave - The user fires a very powerful energy wave shot from a single hand, with the other arm supporting the one that is firing the attack.

Light Grenade - The user puts their hands together in front of them as they charge a yellow energy sphere in their hands. Then, they bring their hands forward and fires the energy sphere, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Special Beam Blast - The user moves back, charges, and then quickly fires a weak Special Beam Cannon. Though its power is weaker than a normal Special Beam Cannon, it retains the attack range of original, allowing it to hit opponents from afar.

Demon Rend - First, Piccolo punches the opponent in the face and knees them in the stomach. Then, he hooks kick the opponent away and extends his right arm to grab them beforehand chopping them away.

Power Awakening State - Piccolo obtained the ability to take on the Ultimate state by wishing for it from Shenron, unlocking the deepest levels of his latent potential.
