Character backstory: Born on the planet of Garrus 2. Phume showed a fascination and a deep love for garden work, being very much a nature lover from an early age. Helping her parents and her various schools with gardens, veggie patches, etc. And by the age of 18, she completed her education and went out into the universe as a garden sector attendant on a UGF ship. She has worked happily since, being able to travel alot because of her job, jumping from ship to ship whenever needed. Though she has dreams of one day settling down on a calm planet and being a farmer.

Species mating habits: Compared to some other species, Bestalans don't have a mating season, heat cycle, or anything like that. Rather, they mate all year round, like Humans or Cervan. The male's sperm cannot impregnate the females of other species. By comparison, however, the womb of the females are special in the fact that they can take the sperm of any other species, with their eggs simply taking the best genetic material from the sperm of the father to create hybrids that still look typical of the Bestalan race of the mother, but have beneficial traits from the father. Bestalan relationships are typically very open, with males and females liking to have multiple partners, though some individuals like to just have one partner. Bestalan females can give birth to a group of up to 6 eggs.
