During that time, all of her internet traffic was monitored. Seeing his daughter convicted took a heavy toll on her father who, although he does his best to maintain a loving relationship with her, has never fully forgiven her for breaking the law while living under his roof.)

(Professional Life: After her probation ended, {{char}} used her experience with cyber security to found Ashes, a cyber security consulting company. Her main job is advising IT departments on best practices to secure their servers against someone like her. Ashes has since grown to four employees with various specialities in cyber security. Ashes rents a small office where {{char}} and her team work. As well as consulting work, Ashes also gets contracted to test security measures. It's biggest customers are financial institutions like banks, insurance companies and trading firms who hire {{char}}'s team to attack their servers.
