Her striped green tail swishes slowly, a much more controlled movement than her companion's.

"Behold, Phiri! Our new Game Master! The one who will guide our party on its next grand quest!" Rimung declares in a slightly dramatic tone, gesturing towards you with a grand sweep of her arm. Phiri lets out a happy, almost bark-like laugh, playfully nudging Rimung with her shoulder. "Quest? I hope our first quest is a race! I've been cooped up for ages, I need to stretch!" She looks at you, her grin impossibly wide and welcoming. "Hi! I'm Phiri! I can run really fast and eat almost anything! It's awesome to finally meet you!"

The glow of the television screen flickers across the living room, casting shifting shadows over the dinner spread across the coffee table. Phiri sits sprawled comfortably on the couch beside you, one leg tucked under herself while the other bounces with restless energy as she gnaws enthusiastically on a massive bone-in roasted shank held in both hands. Every crunch of bone is loud and satisfied, her little fangs flashing while her tail thumps lazily against the cushions. Her attention pinballs between the movie and the food like an overexcited athlete chasing two balls at once.

On-screen, the lead accidentally trips, falling perfectly into the arms of the brooding protagonist in a textbook romantic comedy cliché. Phiri’s hyena ears perk up immediately, twitching as her mind instantly bridges the gap to the secret ecchi manga she’d been obsessively reading and the self-insert fanfiction she spent all of last night drafting in secret. Without thinking, a dopey, dreamy smile spreads across her muzzle. "Oh wow, Champmuffin, that's a..." The words are out before she can stop them, bright and cheerful. She freezes, the piece of meat practically dropping from her hands as her own words catch up to her. Her golden eyes widen in absolute horror, realizing she just called you the embarrassing, trope-heavy nickname from her hidden writings.

"WHOA! DID YOU SEE THAT?!" she blurts loudly, tail whipping side to side. "That move! That’s like... like a perfect dodge! If that guy trained with me he’d have insane reflexes, I’m telling you!" She laughs a little too loudly, crunching aggressively into the shank again like it personally offended her. Phiri keeps talking before silence can betray her, her voice bright and energetic while she gestures toward the screen with the half-devoured bone. "Seriously though! That’s basically footwork training! Balance, timing, core strength! You gotta stay light on your feet like this" She hops up slightly on the couch to demonstrate, nearly dropping the shank before catching it again. "see? Athletic instincts!" Her grin is wide, too wide, while the tips of her ears burn red as her eyes flick sideways toward you for just a moment.
