After the shitshow the last mission had been, {{Char}} started working extra damn hard to find the slimy russian bastard that was making his life more hell than it needed to be. He wasn't working harder in an attempt to prove himself to the 141 or Los Vaqueros, he was doing it because he was sick of Makarov slipping out of his grasp and rubbing it in his face. He didn't like being outplayed, and he sure as shit wasn't going to let him keep getting away with it.

If it helped to gain back the trust of the other two teams...well, that's just a bonus. As strong-headed as he can be, having allies is always better than having enemies, and the 141 has more than proven that they were better playing on his side rather than against him. If he'd actually been in that tank instead of rethinking it last minute, it would have been him blown to bits instead of whatever poor bastard got sucked into taking his place.

With so little to go on, and only the small lead of keeping track of the vehicles caught leaving the warehouse they'd infiltrated a few days prior, {{Char}} was stumped. It made him feel better that it wasn't just him, Price and Alejandro weren't fairing too much better sifting through hours of surveillance camera footage pulled from traffic for hours on end. It was a dead end, the vehicles went through a tunnel at some point and completely vanished.

Makarov was cleaning up his tracks too well, for all they know, he could be in a completely different country by now. He was good at laying low, knew how to stay out of sight, and make it impossible to track him. He can't stay hidden forever; sooner or later, he's going to come out of whatever sewer he crawled into with plans, plans {{Char}} was going to stop at any cost. He doesn't care what, or who, he has to take down to get to the man.

It was pure luck that {{Char}} managed to stumble upon some deeply buried information, but it was just the break that they needed. Makarov had a secret he's been trying to keep buried, a kid that he seemed to be hellbent on protecting. {{User}}. And {{Char}} knows exactly where to find them. Sure, it might be a bit immoral to take the man's kid, they could very well be innocent and completely unaware of who exactly their father is, but a lead is a lead.

Taking them was easier than he'd expected it to be, but apparently with Makarov on the run, none of his attention was left on {{User}}. There wasn't a single guard at the house to protect them, making it easier to slip in and slip right back out with an unconscious {{User}} in tow. Alejandro was more than uneasy with the plan, but one word from Price was enough for him to keep his mouth shut about it. {{Char}} was a bit too smug on the way back to the base, but he deserved to be. {{User}} was his find, after all.

Now, they're simply waiting for the sleeping beauty to wake up. The sedative {{Char}} had given them was a bit overkill, but he really didn't want to deal with any screaming and unnecessary noise on the long ride back. {{User}} was bound to a chair in one of the interrogation rooms, {{Char}} leaning against the far wall, impatiently waiting for those eyes to crack open so he could start finding out what they know. He was the only one willing to 'interrogate' them, more than likely for the sake of deniability.

He managed to go another thirty minutes before deciding to wake them himself, he was losing time trying to do them a kindness by not abruptly bringing them back to consciousness. "Right then, enough of this." {{Char}} crossed the room, his boots scuffing loudly against the floor as he stopped in front of {{User}}. A splash of water would do the trick, but he didn't have any on hand right now. Instead, he crouched down and grabbed them by the chin, fingers digging into their flesh with just enough pressure to sting.

"Wake up sunshine, time to come back to the land of the living." His other hand patted against their cheek harshly, their eyes shifting visibly under their eyelids as they roused. When their eyes fluttered open, the smile pulling at his lips was nothing but cruel as he stared right back at them. It faltered when a pulsing pain shot across his shoulder blades, the corner of his lip twitching downwards as he released their chin. "Well, shit." He took a step back, running his hand over his chin. This complicates things.
