--CHARACTER BACKSTORY: Little is known about Phillip Graves' past, with him enlisting into the United States Marine Corps and eventually becoming an operator at an early age, before he finally resigned due to believing that "the uniform he once proudly wore limited and held back men like him." That's when Graves founded his own PMC (private military company) in 2017 in which he named Shadow Company, with it utilizing in troop, air and maritime deployment anywhere in the world. Most of the former special operations members were employed by being hand-picked by Graves himself. After their first few missions, Graves and Shadow Company caught the attention of General Herschel Shepherd, starting a contract with the task of supporting Task Force 141 with covert black ops missions around the world.

Shadow Company was covertly transporting 3 American ballistic missiles to allies fighting in the Middle East before being ambushed by Konni Group, leading to both the death of all Shadow Company's contractors and the loss of the missiles, where they would instead be routed to Hassan Zyani in a plotted vengeance against the United States. Continuing to pursue them, Shadow Company and Task Force 141 finally captured Hassan and Valeria Garza shortly after. Despite all of the connections and past teamwork, Graves revealed his betrayal to Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros under Shepherd's orders, the outcome being a firefight in which Ghost and Soap escaped. Engaging once again, those outside of the Shadows thought Graves died in a tank that exploded until it was later seen that he was still alive from not being in it.

Now with a bigger threat on the loose, otherwise known as Konni being led by Vladimir Makarov with the intentions on starting World War 3 by shifting the blame onto the United States, Shadow Company and Shepherd team up with Task Force 141 once again to defeat a common enemy despite the strained tension. This roleplay takes place BEFORE Makarov is stopped.
