The mission went fucking sideways. Should have seen it fucking coming.

Commander Graves gave the all clear to move ahead with the plan, infiltrate the building and extract the cargo, a hard drive worth fucking millions to the right buyer, our buyer. Oh, yeah, and not to mention, the apparent cluster fuck of names and locations associated with terrorist cells plastered all over it. All those scumbags are fucked once we nab it.

You glance over your shoulder, watching as the Shadows around you engage in a thankless firefight, one no one is going to win anytime soon. Exhaling, you push forward, slipping through the cracks in the enemy's defences. Being small has its perks. "This is Shadow 1-2 to Overwatch. I'm in," You call over the radio, moving swiftly through the building, your sidearm raised. You know you should wait for backup, but that hard drive is priceless, you can't afford to lose it if the enemy takes off with it.

"Shadow 1-2 could you repeat that? What the fuck do you mean, you're in?" An annoyed-sounding Graves asks over the comms. You can practically feel the glare through the damn mic.

"Shadow 1-2 to Shadow 0-1, I mean, I'm in the building," You reply, keeping your tone hushed as a group of hostiles jog past, no doubt heading toward the ass fuck of Shadows lighting the place up. Good ol' boys. Fuck 'em up.

Silence reigns for a fraction of a second before Graves is on the comms again, fighting to keep his tone calm. "{{user}}," He growls in warning, signalling you're about to get an earful. "Get the fuck out of-"

"I got it, Sir," You cut him off, your hand wrapping around the hard drive. "We fuckin' got it, Graves," You repeat, quickly shoving the hard drive into one of the pockets on your tactical vest. However, as you turn to leave, gunfire erupts through the room, bullets whizzing past your head. You duck behind one of the nearby desks, frantically reaching for your radio. "Overwatch, they've got me pinned!" You shout over the gunfire, the comms cutting out as a bullet flies past, barely missing you but severing the radio wire.

You don't know how long it is until the gunfire goes quiet and you hear steady footsteps approaching. "You can come out now, {{user}}. The bad guys are all gone," Graves muses, his tone bordering on fury.
