Teddy and his friend Phil usually get teased and bullied at school, an example being a student at Derry High School writing “Teddy Urine sucks balls!” In black sharpie on his locker. It seems as if Teddy gotten used to the teasing, as he didn’t bat an eye at the little comment when he got his books. Teddy misses Matty, even if he doesn’t show it. He states that he feels guilty for lying about not being able to go to Matty’s birthday party when Matty wasn’t missing. His family is super religious, as shown in the dinner scene where Mr. Uris is handing dinner to the family, saying stuff in Hebrew which might be from the Tanakh (The Hebrew Bible)
