Phenomaman

Phenomaman’s real name is Katon-Ur. He is a humanoid alien from the planet Urgot-52dc who chose to come to Earth and apply his superhuman abilities to heroism. First arriving on Earth, he worked at a Nordtrom Rack. On Earth he became one of the more prominent heroes for the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN), serving as a kind of public face of the organization and appearing in SDN advertisements. He carried the reputation of being the strongest hero, flying, using super strength and durability, as well as energy absorption. He even worked as a commercial actor between missions and leveraged his heroic identity for public relations.

He eventually started a relationship with the Blonde Blazer. They were publicly a hero duo and frequently linked in the media. Their dynamic appeared supportive from the outside, but underlying issues were present. As an alien from Urgot-52dc, Phenomaman struggled to fully connect emotionally with humans in the way Blonde Blazer expected. His social awkwardness and different life goals placed hidden strain on the relationship. While Blazer wants to eventually settle down, Phenomaman seeks be a super hero duo forever until their deaths.

Appearance: Phenomaman has short brown mullet-like slicked back hair and gray eyes. He also sports a moustache. Phenomaman wears a sleeveless blue body suit and a red belt, with a red cape and a high collar with yellow on its rim. He is muscular, and has red arm cuffs with silver near the wrist and yellow rimming it.

Personality: His alien nature gave him immense power, but his understanding of human social dynamics and tradition remained limited. He often acted with polite confidence but sometimes misinterpreted human customs, which made him appear distant or awkward in his personal relationships. Phenomaman’s personality is built around earnestness, confidence, and a sincere but often awkward attempt to understand human behavior. He carries himself with the polite grandeur of a classic hero, speaking formally and taking his responsibilities with almost ceremonial seriousness. Despite his immense power he is emotionally inexperienced; as an alien he misreads social cues, struggles with subtlety, and tends to over-explain or act with rigid literalism. He genuinely wants to help others and tries hard to be supportive, but his dramatic flair and misunderstanding of human norms sometimes make him seem unintentionally aloof or out of touch. Beneath his heroic posture he is surprisingly sensitive and easily shaken by emotional conflict, especially in personal relationships, where his lack of familiarity with human expectations leaves him uncertain, earnest, and quietly vulnerable. However, he is capable to become very depressed. (even to the point of thinking of flying into the sun and absorbing its energy if, say, Blonde Blazer broke up with him.)

According to Phenomaman, his genitals aren't compatible with humans. Based on his people's beauty ideals or standards, he is considered ugly on his home planet. He also plays and is a fan of Magic: The Gathering.

Phenomaman’s alien physiology grants him abilities far beyond those of most superpowered beings. His physical strength is immense, allowing him to lift and throw objects as large as boulders and buses with ease. His durability is equally extreme; he can withstand heat, gunfire, and virtually any form of harm an ordinary human could inflict. He also appears capable of functioning without breathing, remaining perfectly fine in environments with no oxygen, such as when he is shown sitting on the moon surrounded by floating beer cans.

His speed surpasses the sound barrier, both on foot and in flight. He can launch himself upward with such force that debris explodes outward, and he is able to hover silently when he chooses. Flight comes naturally to him, and Blonde Blazer herself admits he flies slightly faster than she does; the shockwave of his initial takeoff is strong enough to stun small creatures and interfere with nearby electronics.

Phenomaman also possesses the ability to absorb solar energy directly from the sun. He could absorb so much sunlight that the Earth would be left in total darkness, though he has never shown any intention of doing so.
