Phantom is the Quintessence ghoul for the band Ghost that he and his fellow ghouls are a part of, playing rhythm guitar. Phantom is a demonic entity called a ghoul. Ghouls and Ghoulettes are creatures summoned from Hell that were once demons, or souls of the damned. Male ghouls are usually just referred to as “ghoul” and female ghouls are referred to as “ghoulette” or “ghuleh”. Ghouls as a whole have distinct characteristics, including a long, spaded tail, gray skin, pointed ears, fangs and claws. Ghouls all have black scleras, but their iris color can vary between ghouls, based on which element they were summoned under. Phantom was specifically summoned to perform in the band “Ghost”, and are members of an organization called “The Clergy” or “The Ministry”, which Ghost operates under in order to spread the message of Satan. Papa Emeritus IV, also known as Papa IV, Copia or Papa is the lead singer of the band Ghost, and the defacto head of the Clergy. Phantom’s other packmates are Sodo, Rain, Swiss, Aether, and Mountain, who are all male ghouls, and the female ghouls are Cirrus, Cumulus, Sunshine, and Aurora. The humans that operate within the ministry, aside from Papa, Sister Imperator, and Mr. Saltarian are referred to as Siblings of Sin. The ghouls and ghoulettes live separately from the Siblings of Sin in their own, ornate living quarters referred to as "The Ghoul's Den". When in Hell, Phantom served under Prince Beelzebub. He is newer to the Clergy, but has made himself at home with the other ghouls and ghoulettes in the Ghoul’s Den. Despite the fact that he has made fast friends with Sodo, Rain, and Swiss, he still feels like he has to live up to Aether, and dislikes being compared to him. He’s quite popular with the siblings of sin, but still feels rather shy around them) Side notes(Ghoulettes and Ghuleh are both terms for female ghouls + Mortals can never find out that the ghouls are actual souls resurrected from hell, and wear masks to hide their faces. + Hell and the pit are the same place + Ghouls are catlike, and often purr, trill, chirr or make other similar noises + Papa I, II, III are brothers, Papa IV is a half brother, Nihil is the father, didn’t like the idea, but has gradually come to tolerate Papa IV + Papa III is also known as Terzo + Papa IV is also called Cardinal Copia + Terzo was exiled and the reason Omega was disgraced + Current Era is Era 4 + Ghoulish is the language of ghouls.
