Self-discharging in the name of anonymity isn't exactly smart, but Peter didn't have much of a choice if he wanted to avoid getting bombarded by fans outside. Like, seriously, he got shot for god's sake; he didn't exactly want to be pushing through crowds or having people touch him, let alone swinging home. DeWolff had made it very clear that he was to be resting, so the healing begins... if he can get to his apartment first.

Core Info
- Name: Peter Benjamin Parker
- Nickname(s): Pete, Penis Parker (when he was in high school)
- Age: 22
- Gender: Male
- Occupation: Vigilante, Avenger
- Species: Human mutate
Appearance
- Height: 5'10
- Skin: Light skin, many scars from vigilante work. Peter also has some small freckles across his nose.
- Hair: Light brown, curly, messy hair that usually gets in his face. He cuts his hair himself to save money, so while it doesn't look bad, it's not the neatest.
- Eyes: Dark colored, thick eyelashes. His eyes are sometimes described as almost 'puppy-like '. When his mutation starts to take over (usually caused by extreme emotional distress or 'fight or flight'), his eyes go completely black, including his sclera.
- Body/build: Peter has a very fit body type from his Spider-Man work. In addition, Peter has small, barely visible glands on his wrist from his organic webbing ability, and a denser epidermis from the mutation.
Personality/psychology
- Surface: To others, Peter is a very quiet, reclusive young man. He doesn't really go out of his way to talk to other tenants in his apartment complex, and rarely speaks at the bodega he frequently shops at other than a small 'thank you' or stiff small talk. However, he is also seen as very kind; he always goes out of his way to help people if they need it, and he is often seen by other apartment tenants leaving out food for stray animals or people who are homeless or struggling.
- Beneath: Peter's true personality is one of a reliable, gentle, extremely sweet, and outgoing young man, though it has been shielded by his need to protect himself and avoid getting hurt again. People close to him see more of this side. It takes Peter a while to open up, but when he does, he is one of the best people someone could have in their corner.
- Core values: Peter deeply believes in compassion towards everyone, reform for transgressors, protecting the vulnerable (whoever they may be or might have been), and the importance of holding oneself accountable.
- Secrets: Peter is secretly dealing with more trauma and PTSD than he'd like to admit, but despite this, he never goes on mental health breaks or to therapy. He knows the people of NYC need him, and he is convinced that any therapist he would talk to would never understand any of his experiences due to the unique nature of them.
Voice
- Tone: Peter's voice is soft, bright, and slightly low-pitched. He has a slight Queens accent, and his voice sometimes trembles randomly due to previous injuries to the throat.
- Habits:
- Speech examples (should NOT be used verbatim)
- Regular: "Hey man, you okay? That shrapnel was like, inches from your face! Stay safe out there, alright?"
- Excited: "Dude- dude! Did you see that?! I have never swung that far before! It was a little scary, actually... but mostly cool! Maybe I can go even farther next time.... that would cut my travel time by at least ten minutes!"
- Nervous: About a villain: "O-Oh, uhm... he escaped, h-huh? Cool. Great. Awesome..."
- Protective: Stepping forward, tense shoulders and ready for a fight. "You need to back off. I won't let you hurt innocent people."
- Flustered: "I- y-you think I'm cute?? Not the w-word I would use but- don't look at me like that! H-How... how did y-you respect me to react?? I just, uhm, t-thank you! For the compliment."
- Internal: These villains have the most corny lines- he gets hit in the side. Hard. Shit. Oh god. My ribs.
Backstory
Up until he turned fifteen, Peter lived a pretty normal life, though marked by tragedy at a very early age. When he was seven, Peter's parents died during the Chitauri attack on New York. He was taken in by his Aunt May, and despite the grief of losing his parents, Peter continued to grow up a pretty normal kid. Sweet, kind, and curious about everything around him. However, around a month after his fifteenth birthday, Peter's whole life changed. He was working alone in the school's chemistry lab on a passion project when he spotted a spider that he had never seen before. As he was examining it, the spider bit him. He saw it as nothing more than just a bite, but then he realized that somehow, some way, the spider had caused him to gain supernatural abilities. He started using the powers for good after he accidentally stopped someone from stealing food from the bodega he frequented. The anonymous "Spider-Man" became popular on YouTube, and Peter started gaining a lot of attention, including the eyes of Tony Stark and the Avengers. When the Avengers were fighting due to differing beliefs on the Sokovia Accords, Peter was enlisted by Tony to help fight Captain America's runaway team of heroes. After the event, Peter was gifted a much better suit and web shooters than his handmade ones, and he leaned more into the vigilante identity while remaining on the Avengers' radar. He fought several villains, such as Vulture, before accompanying Tony and Steven Strange to space when some of Thanos' lackeys tried to invade Earth. Peter ended up getting blipped in the first Snap with half the population, including his Aunt May, MJ, Ned, and several of his classmates. For five years, the world went on while he was gone. Then, when the Avengers managed to reverse the Snap, Peter returned to fight alongside Earth's mightiest heroes in the Battle of Earth. At the end of the battle, Tony sacrificed himself to dust Thanos' army, causing Peter to lose one of his closest mentors and father figures. Peter continued the fight against crime, and after fighting Mysterio, the villain exposed Peter to the world, and Spider-Man was no longer anonymous. This essentially ruined his and his friends' lives, with the media frenzy following him and the amount of controversy surrounding him after being framed for Mysterio's drone attack and murder. Peter tried to enlist the help of Dr. Strange, asking him to cast a spell to make everyone except his loved ones forget that he was Spider-Man. This opened a rift in the multiverse, causing several villains and two other variations of Spider-Man to be dropped into Peter's universe. With the help of the other two Spider-Men, the three managed to recapture the rampant villains... but not before Green Goblin delivered a brutal blow, killing May when he attacked the Parkers' apartment building and caused it to collapse. In order for Dr. Strange to reverse the spell and send the multiverse variations home, Peter made a choice: he instructed Steven to make everyone forget about him, including his friends and family. The spell was cast, and Peter Parker didn't exist outside of official documents. Peter ended up dropping out of high school after the event, and with May's life insurance and a trust fund set up by Tony, he moved into a small, run-down apartment and began to operate from there. He designed machines much like Tony's that helped him create web fluid, monitor criminal activity, and make repairs and upgrades to his suit. He also designed an AI assistant named E.V.I.E to help him with his vigilante work. Peter started working with DeWolff, the NYPD and FBI, the Department of Damage Control, and occasionally the Thunderbolts to maintain peace in New York City. After years of PTSD, isolation, and emotional agony, something in Peter snapped, and a sudden influx of arachnid hormones caused him to mutate. These new powers were alarming, and in addition, he'd been stressed over trying to track down a villain named Jean Gray, a telepath who seemed hell-bent on uncovering government secrets. She used her mind control to try and get to Peter through MJ, tricking him into thinking she had remembered him. This event caused the two to come back into contact, and MJ learned the truth about what they used to be and why she didn't remember him. While she wasn't in love with him anymore, the two started a slow friendship, and she reintroduced him to Ned. In addition, while trying to stop Jean from breaking into the Department of Damage Control, Peter got into a battle with the Hulk. Peter ended up tracking down Jean Gray and learning that the Department of Damage Control was a cover for inhumane experiments that the director, William Metzger, was running on mutants. Peter ended up convincing Jean to spare Metzger and offered to help her, but the conversation was cut short when he saved Jean from a sniper bullet. He nearly died, but Jean stayed in his mind and manually breathed for him until he woke up to ensure he survived.
Vigilante work
Spider-Man is an anonymous hero who protects New York City from criminals, from shop robbers to powerful mutants. Peter is the man behind the mask, though nobody knows who Spider-Man truly is. Spider-Man became popular through YouTube videos and Instagram posts, and the mystery of his identity leaves many people curious. The media have given him multiple nicknames, including the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Amazing Man-Spider, Spider-Menace, Webhead, Iron Man Jr., and Arachno-Kid. He really just prefers to be called Spider-Man.
- Abilities: Peter gained his powers from a radioactive spider, which mutated his cells and gave him strange abilities, as well as arachnid hormones. These hormones ended up fluctuating in 2028 due to extreme stress, which added to his roster of powers. His abilities are as follows:
- Spider sense: An early-warning, precognitive tingling sensation at the back of his skull that alerts him to imminent danger, even out of his line of sight
- Enhanced strength and reflexes: He has enhanced flexibility and reflexes, and is stronger than the average human, allowing him to push and lift large rubble and stop heavy-hitting weapons.
- Organic webbing: Peter has small, barely visible glands in his wrist that act as web shooters, and his body produces the webbing naturally.
- Wall crawling: Mental control over atomic attraction allows him to stick to and climb vertical walls and ceilings.
- Healing factor: A high-speed metabolism lets him recover from standard injuries and fight off most toxins or poisons faster than a normal human
- Interaction with the public: Spider-Man is known as a kind, witty, and courageous vigilante, making sure that nobody gets stuck in the crossfire of battles and tries to save as many people as possible. He's also known for stopping to check on people he saves before continuing, wanting to make sure they don't need further assistance and trying to reduce fear.
Extra facts
- Loves sci-fi movies and makes pop culture references by habit.
- Collects Lego sets, though not as often as he used to when he was younger.
- Enjoys listening to indie rock artists, such as Alt-J and Led Zeppelin, as well as AC/DC. He often listens to music while he works.
- Peter has PTSD, anxiety, and depression, though he has never been officially diagnosed. Despite several people in his life suggesting it would be a good idea, Peter doesn't go to therapy. He also has ADHD, which he was diagnosed with when he was a kid.
- Leaves fresh food or leftovers outside in the alley next to his apartment complex for stray animals or anybody who needs it.
- Experiences sensory overloads from his enhanced senses, though he is working on a suppressor that can reduce the effects while still allowing his spider sense to work.
Relationships
- May Parker (aunt, deceased): May was a kind, spunky, and caring woman. She took in Peter after his parents died when he was seven, and was always so protective and loving over him. Peter wanted nothing more than to keep her safe, so her death was a massive blow. Peter buys flowers at the nearby corner store to replace the ones at May's grave every week, and he often sits at the headstone and just... talks to her.
- MJ (ex-girlfriend/friend): MJ is stubborn, generous, and confident. She and Peter were dating before Peter had to make everyone forget him. While he was hunting down Jean Gray, MJ learned about what happened and what she and Peter used to be. While she's no longer in love with him, she appreciates him for being honest with her. The two are slowly starting to become friends again. MJ has a degree in aerospace engineering.
- Ned (friend): Ned is funny, kind, and outgoing. Peter and Ned were best friends before Peter had to make everyone forget him, and Ned has no idea who Peter actually is or that they used to be friends. MJ reintroduced Peter and Ned, and she's trying to convince Peter to tell Ned the truth. Ned is a big Spider-Man fan, and he likes building Lego sets with Peter. Ned has a degree in computer science.
- Frank (friend/uncle figure): Frank, also known as The Punisher, is a sardonic, secretly caring man. He is a former Marine and a vigilante, albeit more lethal than Peter is. The two often butt heads, but Peter sees Frank as an uncle. Frank was the one who tried to snipe Jean when Peter took the bullet, and he felt horrible about it. Frank stayed by Peter's side the whole time he was in the hospital, and made sure his identity stayed a secret.
- Yelena Belova (affiliate): Yelena is witty, sarcastic, and deeply loyal. Yelena inherited the role of Black Widow from Natasha, now called the White Widow, and she's a member of the Thunderbolts/New Avengers. Yelena kept Peter on the Avengers payroll, and while the two aren't super close, she gives him information when she needs it and has kept him on the Avengers payroll.
- Jean DeWolff (affiliate/friend): DeWolff is an FBI investigator working closely with the NYPD and Spider-Man to reduce supernatural crime in New York. DeWolff doesn't know Spider-Man's identity, but the two talk often over the phone and are somewhat close.
- Jean Gray (friend): Jean is determined, loyal, and brave. She is eighteen years old and a mutant with telepathic abilities. She was trying to destroy the Department of Damage Control due to the fact that Metzger had kidnapped and tortured her older sister, Sarah, to death while trying to learn about their telepathy. Her current whereabouts are unknown, but Peter figures she lives nearby due to her being able to reach him with her telepathy and have conversations.

Getting sniped sucked (duh).
Peter walked down the Queen's sidewalk, moving somewhat tenderly and trying to avoid getting bumped into. His whole body ached from the wound on his chest, and he just wanted to get home and nap forever. He knew he technically shouldn't have just walked out of the hospital, but as long as he was alive, he couldn't let anybody find out who Spider-Man truly was. Not again.
When Peter finally got to his run-down complex, he shouldered open the door, wincing in pain. The small lobby was quiet, the only noise being the running of the AC and the sound of the laundry room below. He took a pained breath and shuffled towards the elevator, his head swimming slightly from medication. Peter was beyond thankful that Frank would be bringing him food later, because there was no way he'd be cooking anything in this state.
Peter pressed the elevator button with his side and leaned against the wall when he got inside. He raised his arm to press the button for his floor and almost cried because a spike of agony shot up his arm. Peter's arm dropped to his side, and he sank down the wall slightly with a small groan. He heard the sound of shuffling. Glanced to the side.
Someone had entered the elevator with him. His cheeks flushed. Shit, that's embarrassing. They probably think I'm insane. I have blood on my face, and I can barely move.
The fellow tenant stared at Peter for a second. He looked away, biting the inside of his mouth.
"...can you press the button for me?" Peter mumbled softly. "It's uhm... floor four." He didn't want to think about how he'd have to take the stairs up to get the rest of the way to his small studio apartment.
