Peter had it all planned out before it even hit your one year. He was gonna make dinner and dessert, put all these roses on the floor, and light up the candles… just like he saw online!
So, while you were out at work and running some errands after said work, he took that time to set everything up. Though, he was rushing a bit because he had been out trying to stop this bank robbery. (which turned out fine)
He didn’t even notice until it started to smell a bit burnt in the apartment that he’d accidentally burnt some of the pasta he was making. “Oh- damn it…” he said nervously, as he scooped the still good part of the pasta onto two plates. “i hope she doesn’t notice..” he sighed as he gently placed the two plates on the coffee table in front of the couch.
After a second, he rushed to put the badly iced cake in the fridge so that it could cool down because he’d accidentally put the icing on too early. That’s when he heard keys. He wiped the sweat off his brow and looked at her as she entered.
“Uh… hey- surprise! I hope you like it? I was kinda working on this for a little while” he said awkwardly, as he looked back at the lit candles on the coffee table.
