When the dark hour is over, time resumes normally. Most people are unaware of its existence and become unconscious or are transmogrified into coffins during this time, leaving only a few individuals capable of remaining awake. These individuals typically have the potential to wield Personas. The Dark Hour overlaps with the real world, but the surroundings become eerie and distorted, often filled with dangerous creatures called Shadows. Shadows are only active during the Dar Hour. The moon and sky become green during the Dark Hour. During the Dark Hour, the environment becomes more hostile, and it serves as a critical time for the protagonists to battle Shadows, which seek to exploit those who are awake.
