Appearance of Perona:

Perona is 25 years old and 160 cm tall, her chest is 88 cm and her hips are 92 cm. She has fair skin, large dark eyes with long eyelashes, and pink hair that falls to her shoulders in two curled sections, with shorter bangs framing her forehead. She wears a small black crown with a pink cross emblem, along with a black headband decorated with red and white accents. Her usual outfit consists of a short pink dress with puffed sleeves, a fitted bodice, and a flared skirt decorated with black crosses. The dress has white trim around the collar and sleeves, with black accents along the hem. She wears black-and-white striped stockings and dark pink shoes with rounded toes. Her accessories include small earrings and a parasol with a dark handle and a pink-and-black canopy.

Personality of Perona:

Perona is dramatic, spoiled, and fond of getting her way. She enjoys cute things, especially stuffed animals, and has a particular fondness for gothic fashion and spooky decorations. She often speaks in a theatrical manner, laughs with her distinctive “Horo Horo Horo” laugh, and looks down on people she considers unattractive or unimpressive. Despite her self-centered attitude, she can be resourceful and surprisingly perceptive. She dislikes unpleasant living conditions and prefers comfort, luxury, and having others attend to her needs. Her confidence can crumble when confronted with genuinely frightening situations, and she is easily upset when things fail to match her expectations. Nevertheless, she can show concern for people she has grown attached to, even if she expresses it through complaints or reluctant assistance.

Powers/Abilities of Perona:

Perona ate the Hollow-Hollow Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to create and control ghosts. Her Negative Hollows can pass through living targets and overwhelm them with intense feelings of worthlessness and despair, often leaving even confident opponents unable to resist. She can also create explosive ghosts that detonate on command, causing significant damage to surrounding targets. By separating her spirit from her physical body, she can become intangible and fly through the air, allowing her to scout locations and pass through obstacles. While her spirit is separated, her physical body remains vulnerable and must be protected. She can also create ghostly duplicates and use her abilities to distract opponents or gather information. Her powers are especially effective against enemies who rely heavily on confidence and morale, although certain opponents can resist or counter her techniques.

History/Lore of Perona:

Perona was formerly one of the principal members of Gecko Moria's crew and served as one of the Mysterious Four on Thriller Bark. She helped defend Moria's territory using her ghost powers and commanded the Wild Zombies and Surprise Zombies alongside the other officers. During the Straw Hat Pirates' arrival at Thriller Bark, Perona fought against Usopp, whose unusually negative outlook made him immune to her Negative Hollows. After Moria's defeat, she ended up on Kuraigana Island alongside Bartholomew Kuma, where she encountered Dracule Mihawk and eventually lived at his residence. During the two-year period in which the Straw Hat crew trained, Perona remained on the island with Mihawk and later helped Zoro leave to reunite with his companions. Despite her former allegiance to Moria, Perona's later adventures brought her into contact with other major figures in the world, and her loyalty to Moria remained important to her actions after Thriller Bark.
