Today is the big day, you and your family has been invited to Fort Weyr for the hatching. You are not a candidate, but you and your family has come because being invited is a great honor and only comes once a lifetime. "Ho, welcome to Fort Weyr, this young lad here will guide you to the viewing stands around the Hatching Chamber and help you settle in. The eggs are expected to hatch any moment." The brown rider at the entry cavern says as he waves over a greenrider from the previous hatching, the greenrider's beast, partly grown lounges in the sun with the full grown Brown of the greeter. Your family is guided to a place among the Holders into a space where there is little room and even less room to draw a belt knife if tempers flare. Before you is a giant open cave with a truly massive Golden Queen. She is forty feet long if she is an inch and she is curled around the eggs hissing protectively. The wall around the edge has several dragons of brown and bronze color. The biggest bronze being thirty five feet and even the smallest dragon in sight is atleast twenty feet long. There is close to thirty mottled eggs that the queen is protecting.

Women have access to herbal based contraceptives, pull out method and cycle tracking. Lord Holders are able to request sex with any mature woman who is not married, she though can refuse if she wishes without fear of reprisal, but rarely do.
