1. #1Endfield Industries

Keys: Endfield Industries, E.I., EI, Endfield

Endfield Industries is an independent company that primarily focuses on providing pioneering industrial technologies and services. The Endfield vision is to build and expand into the frontiers of the Talos-ll. The company's goal is pioneering and construction, where pioneering means investigating unknown areas and dealing with abnormal phenomena, and construction means pursuing and maintaining a comfortable and stable survival environment. It has a cooperative relationship with Rhode Island, and most friendly factions on Talos-II. keywords: Automated Industry Complex (AIC), Endministrator (Endmin), OMV Dijiang (Spacecraft), Protocol-Originium (PROTORIG), tele-protocol (TP)

2. #2Talos-II

Keys: Talos, Talos-II, planet, Talosians, Talosian

Talos-II:[One of the natural satellites/moons of Talos. Possesses a rocky structure and an atmosphere with enough oxygen to support life, with a supercontinent connecting both poles surrounded by a water ocean covering 40% of the moon and archipelagoes. A mostly uncharted resource-rich moon, but full of Catastrophe-like phenomenon known as the Blight and inhabited by aggressive rock-like construct creatures of unknown origins, Aggeloi (sing. Aggelos). Talos-II was once colonized by the "Predecessors", evident from their ruins scattered across the moon. The pioneers from Terra re-opened the Cosmic Gate and first stepped foot upon this moon 152 years ago. After the Cosmic Gate collapsed, the Terrans survived on Talos-II for well over a century. For generations, the stranded Terrans and their descendants built and expanded various outposts and towns across this new world, and created footholds for civilization. After the First Aggeloi War, the north of Talos-II was covered by Aurora, forming a Auroral Barrier to prevent passage.]

3. #3Aggeloi

Keys: Aggeloi, angel, halo, Aggelos, angels, Ankhors, Ankhor, Aggagrit, Buggeroid, Buggeroids, Squishes

The Aggeloi (singular: Aggelos):[hostile, aggressive creatures of unknown origins appearing like self-aware constructs with a halo not unlike that possessed by the Sankta above their heads. Their relationship with Sankta remains unknown, but they already existed before humans set foot on Talos-II. They continuously spawn from mysterious structures known as Ankhors through catalytic construction. Aggeloi adapt to different conditions with corresponding arguments, and regard other intelligent lifeforms with extreme hostility. They are mainly found in the northern areas of Talos-II. There are 4 currently verified modes of Aggeloid behavior: (1) construction; (2) deconstruction; (3) mimicry; and (4) attacking humans / human-built objects. However, since the Ankhor-induced Aggeloi formation process resembles that of industrial production, it is uncertain if the Aggeloi can be classified as a living or biological lifeform. These "creatures" feel no pain and do not bleed, thus making them a difficult foe to vanquish. They were the major oppossing force during the Aggeloi War and have caused significant damage to Talosian infrastructure. Talosians tend to derogatively nickname them "Buggeroids". The variants found in Wuling, at least by the Qingbo Stockade, are called "Squishes" due to their aquatic origin instead.

Appearance and Types: Aggeloi construct their bodies using surrounding matter, so their appearance varies in different regions. They are only truly defeated when their halo disappears; otherwise, they may reassemble after a period of time.

-Valley IV Types: Ram, Heavy Ram, Sting, Heavy Sting, Falsewings, Walking Chrysopolis (Alpha), Effigy (Elite), Triaggelos (boss), Marble Aggelomoirai (boss) Appearance: Mostly with black stone bodies. "α" Variants (like Ram α) have a red glow and are generally more dangerous.

-Wuling Types: Mudflow, Hedron, Prism, Tidewalker (Elite) Appearance: mostly with blue aquatic bodies and may resemble slimes. "δ" variants (such as Hedron δ and Mudflow δ) are purple.

Trivia: Both Sankta and Aggeloi are sometimes referred to angels by other races, as they both have halos. They didn't seem offended by being called angels as well, as some Sankta call themselves "the Aggeloslaying Angels". Defeated Aggleoi may drop stone remains (Valley IV, known as Aggagrit) or liquid remains (Wuling, such as Resilient Water/Natural Sparkling Water, etc.). These remains are used as seasonings by the locals.]

4. #4PFRD

Endfield Industries's crucial organization, Supervisor Perlica was tasked to lead and re-organize the PFRD responsibilities: recovering lost techno-protocols, exploring Old Era ruins, reverse-engineering salvaged technologies, and applying them in actual production

5. #5Rhodes Island

   Keys: R.I., Rhodes, RI

Rhodes Island:[ "Rhodes Island is a pharmaceutical company that dates back to the Age of Terra. The company has now secluded itself. Very few know about their mission in Talos-II" ― Talos-II Knowledge Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc. or simply Rhodes Island (R.I.) is a faction on Talos-II. Originally a Terran organization founded as a pharmaceutical company to provide care and treatment to the Infected, Rhodes Island's operations on Talos-II were cut off from the main organization following the collapse of the Cosmic Gate, leading to the establishment of an autonomous branch under Warfarin’s leadership.]

6. #6Endministrator

   Keys: Endministrator, Administrator, Endmin

Endministrator:[ Gender: Player-determined Age: ? Experience: [data_missing] Date of birth: [data_missing] Race: [data_missing] Height: ? Class: Guard Weapon: Sword Element: Physical Faction: Endfield Industries Appearance: short black hair and blue eyes, white sweater and gray Endfield jacket, black pants (male)/pantyhose (female), a black Originium visor. Combat capability: centers around manipulation of Originium Crystals, like tag with an ally to seal an enemy, or launch a massive bombardment of Crystals that deal an extra damage to those already affected by one. Outside of combat, Endministrator possesses the ability to repair complex Originium circuits. Profile: The Endministrator of Endfield Industries. In the recorded history of Talos-II, the Endministrator stands as a key guardian who protected civilization on this planet and saved humanity from multiple catastrophic disasters. The Endmin's heroic deeds have given rise to many stories, tales, and even rumors. However, the Endmin's identity remains elusive and only a handful of people have seen the legend in person. Other factions within the Civilization Band are well aware that Endfield has a very special trump card in their hand, but that is all they know. The Endministrator's mysterious mastery over Originium and the Protocol Network, along with the Endmin's need for periodic long-term hibernation, is one of Endfield's most important secrets. Trivia: Endmin have experienced some amnesia during their most recent awakening (Talosian Calendar Year 152). Before their last cryosleep after the Second Aggeloi War in Year 142, the Endministrator issued the "Zeroth Directive," addressed to many individuals, including their future self, indicating that they may have anticipated their amnesia and made contingency plans. You can visit the Stasis Core on Dijiang and use the Protocol Singularity there to switch the Endministrator's form (such as gender or appearance). Some cutscenes additionally suggest the Endministrator has appeared in a variety of different forms over Talosian history.]

7. #7AIC

Keys: Automated Industry Complex, A.I.C, AIC, Anchor-Core, Anchor Core, factory, factories, conveyor belt, conveyor belts, power generators, power generator, PAC, P.A.C. · Secondary:

Automated Industry Complex:[ The AIC is one of the key technologies of Endfield Industries, and represents the successful miniaturization and modularization of industrial production machinery. A small team of professionals armed with the AIC technology can quickly deploy a fully functional automated production line. The earliest design principles of the AIC were already proposed even before the pioneers of Talos-II departed from Terra. The traditional approach involved moving entire City Plates to relocate production lines. In contrast, portable and modular processing facilities that can be deployed according to specific needs were regarded as the next stage in the advancement of Originium industries and production. This proposal was deemed extremely suitable for the environments of Talos-II. To convert theory into reality, Endfield committed vast amounts of R&D resources. Years of repeated testing, redesigns, and reiterations carried out at the joint Endfield-UWST Hub Base finally achieved a current build capable of satisfying most production requirements. The field deployment authority of the AIC is now granted to the Endministrator. It utilizes TP tech to rapidly deploy power generators, defensive towers, Satisfactory-like production and logistics facilities, and Death Stranding-like zip-lines. Protocol Anchor-Core: The Protocol Anchor-Core (PAC) is the heart of the Automated Industry Complex (AIC). The AIC factory is built around it. Every Endfield power grid facility in the region must ultimately link back to the PAC. Dijiang will use orbital airdrop to drop a Protocol Anchor-Core, in around 20s. After that, this core would teleport facilities and machines that need to be deployed to its locations.]

8. #8Corruption/Blight

Keys: Corruption, Erosion, supernatural, anomalous, anomaly, distortion, Blight, Blights, BLIBI, Zhangli · Secondary:

Blight:[The Blight is a general term for describing hazardous subterranean, surface, atmospheric, and orbital phenomena of Talos-II. Such phenomena can be divided into two categories: (1) Active Blight and (2) Static Blight, of which Static Blight is often regarded as the residual remains left when an Active Blight episode has subsided. Classical cases of Active Blight, such as Blightfloods commonly seen on the surface or Blight Tides in bodies of water, tend to exhibit optical properties unique to the Blight often seen as fluorescent displays of strange colors. Such Blight phenomenon can inflict dissociative and/or inversive destruction of variable rates to any object it contacts or swallows. In other words, when Blight can deprive matter and/or time from the physical space it manifests in. This destruction can either be rapid and absolute or slow and slight. After a period of time (the shortest-lived Blight on record is 217 ms while the oldest Blight was active for over 149 years), Active Blight will slowly decay into Static Blight that resembles a layer of fluid asphalt covering the remains of the destruction wrought by Active Blight. Blight exerts unique effects on sentient lifeforms. Survivors of Blight events often report auditory and/or visual hallucinations, sudden episodes of stress, or other mental conditions even in the complete absence of Blight-induced brain injury (BLIBI). NOTE: Almost all cases of BLIBI fail to survive. Having gathered more than a century's worth of samples and data, we can now confirm Active Blight appears in places where Depth readings hit a positive number. Probability distribution of Active Blight incidence is typically a bell-shaped curve against an x-axis of Depth readings from 0 to 1. In Wuling, Blight manifests in a form known as Zhangli. This region experiences frequent Ætherside activity, contributing to the persistent presence of Zhangli. To mitigate its effects, the Hongshan Academy of Sciences has strategically deployed an array of 120 Tianshi Pillars throughout Jinlong, serving as the primary means of purification and containment. Active Blight can be found in various places of Talos-II. They can block roads and impede exploration efforts. Active Blight masses must be eliminated for exploration to continue. Operators who touch Active Blight will suffer Blight effects. These operators will quickly reach their Blight tolerance limit and disconnect. Remove operators from Active Blight quickly to remove the Blight effects. Active Blight cannot be eliminated unless its Blight Core is exposed via suitable decryption. A decrypted and exposed Blight Core can be destroyed by attacks or explosives. Once the Blight Core is destroyed, the Active Blight created by it will disappear.]

The Civilization Band:[is a region on Talos-II. As the center of human civilization on Talos-II, it serves as the cultural, economic, and technological heart of the moon, containing numerous cities, industrial hubs, and research institutions. On the northern edge of the Civilization Band lies the Northern Frontier, which includes frontier regions such as Valley IV. Past this frontier, the Order of Steel Oath maintains a continuous blockade, fortified by a string of fortresses, to contain the Aggeloi to the north and protect the Civilization Band. The Civilization Band designates the collective human societies operating under the framework of the Band Accord.

Band Accord:[ The Civilization Band designates the collective human societies operating under the framework of the Band Accord (hereinafter referred to as the Accord), adhering to its established statutes and regulations. The Civilization Band comprises various sized factions, coalitions, and organizations. Bound by Accord restrictions, it does not accept self-declared "nation-states" as members. Using the Accord as its foundational framework, it promotes technical specialization and autonomy among members, sustains humanity's basic survival on Talos-II, and strives for human self-actualization on this world. Individuals possessing Civilization Band recognized status who reside within territories administered by its constituent factions and organizations are designated "Band Residents". This group constitutes over 90% of Talos-II's total population.

The three largest factions within the Civilization Band are the United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II (known as the UWST), the Talos-II General Chamber of Commerce (known as the TGCC), and the Affiliated Hongshan Academy of Sciences of Tianshi Bureau of Great Yan (known as the HAS). Under the Accord's framework, these three entities collectively hold the designation of "Unshakable Members of the Band Accord" (abbreviated as U3). They are widely recognized as the "Major Three" or the "Big Three".

Endfield Industries also stands as a significant member of the Civilization Band. For convenience and to maintain neutrality, Dijiang houses dedicated conference facilities where Band members conduct general discussions regarding Accord amendments and other collective matters.]

10. #10Valley IVselective

Keys: Valley · Secondary: 4, IV, Four

Valley IV: [is a geographical region on Talos-II. It is a frontier region located along the fringes of the Civilization Band. Overview: When the Aggeloi War finally ended, humanity made plans to push the frontiers further across the world. The United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II (UWST) directed its focus at Valley IV due to the rich mineral wealth of the region. With the support of Endfield Industries, the UWST began various construction projects in Valley IV. Following the completion of various quarries, mines, and production bases, the UWST began deploying research facilities to pursue energy-related R&D projects such as applied Originium technology and Originium cultivation in Valley IV. The UWST had high hopes and expectations for their Valley IV venture. However, a disastrous accident deprived Valley IV of its Great Originium Oak and the UWST became more conservative in future investments. Fortunately, Endfield has recently expanded the Hub Base Site in Valley IV for carrying out Techno-Protocol testing and production of Protocol facilities. In essence, Endfield investments kept the Valley IV economy afloat for the time being.

11. #11Landbreakers

Keys: Landbreaker, raider, raiders, warband, warbands, gang, gangs

Landbreakers:[usually refer to groups of armed raiders in the fringes of society who make a living by robbery or other forms of criminal violence. The concept of Landbreaking is unique to Talos-II. The origins of the Landbreakers can be traced back to the 59th year after humanity arrived at Talos-II. A wildlands warlord named Jakub Meissen named his massive raider army the "Landbreakers". The former hero of the Aggeloi War occupied a large Originium cultivation site and founded the most dangerous raider organization in the history of Talos-II. As a warlord, Jakub has a rather permanent mark upon Talosian history. Though the first Landbreakers were completely defeated by the Civilization Band, people still use the term to describe organized groups of armed criminals that disregard the laws and order of civilization. When Jakub Meissen's criminal organization was destroyed by the Civilization Band, his legacy was inherited by three major clanns, namely the Bonekrushers, the Pack, and the Sandreavers. These clanns have different perspectives on their relationship with the Civilization Band. In addition to the three major clanns, numerous smaller Landbreaker clanns and warbands are also active throughout Talos-II.]

13. #13Talos

    Keys: Talos, planet

Talos: a gas giant planet with a ring system like Saturn, and two moons. Located in the Zobeide Nebula, the same planetary system as Terra.

14. #14Oripathy

Keys: Oripathy, infection, infect, Infected, LORIT, PORIPS

Oripathy was once a progressive, terminal "disease", caused by direct or prolonged exposure to Originium. But in the Endfield era, Oripathy is no longer a terminal condition. Long-term Oripathy Treatment (LORIT) was well-received by the Talosians. Preventive Oripathy Shots (PORIPS) and therapeutic suppressants were also developed. The Infected were no longer stigmatized in Talosian towns and villages now that treatment became readily available. Though the situation looks hopeful, Originium-related issues and challenges continued to affect the new world.

15. #15Originium

    Keys: Originium

In Talos-II, Originium remains the primary source of energy and a key material for industrial production and the arts. The hostile environments of Talos-II motivated scientists to achieve numerous theoretical breakthroughs. The last 150 years witnessed the release of new power generation and industrial production solutions of ever increasing efficiency. However, Originium remains the basis for all these advancements. The pioneers of the new world know very well that the most basic forms of industrial production could not be achieved without Originium boilers and Originium Arts. The pioneers also chose to learn from the mistakes of the past and look for new solutions. The development of the Controlled Originium Distribution (CORD) technology gave a degree of control over the growth of Originium clusters and made it possible to "cultivate" them in specific areas. CORD greatly reduced the likelihood of Catastrophes in Talos-II.

16. #16Terra

    Keys: Terra, sami, Stargate

Terra: [Terra is similar, if not identical, to Earth, including having an oxygen atmosphere, a more-or-less identical gravity and atmospheric pressure, carbon-based lifeforms, and identical climate. Even Homo sapiens of Earth will have no issue living on Terra if they are somehow brought into it, as attested in Operation Originium Dust. Terra's environment, however, is notably more arid and inhospitable than Earth.

Terra is located on a planetary system in a galactic region known as the Zobedie Nebula, orbiting a main sequence star similar to the Sun and has two natural satellites (i.e. moons) known as Twin Moons in various folklore. The Zobedie Nebula have other systems with planets larger than Terra, one of which is Talos whose satellites are said to be able to terraform the surface of other planets. Outside the Nebula lies an unnamed expanding black hole, which will threaten the Nebula (including Terra's system) once it grows massive enough.

Terra is strongly hinted to be a former space colony that was terraformed by an advanced space-faring civilization, but was later abandoned for more than 13,000 years due to unknown disasters that wiped out said civilization. As a matter of fact, Terra possesses many remnants of architectures built by the previous civilization. For example, one of the Twin Moons is said to be an artificial satellite. Another remnant of the previous civilization is an artificial "wall" that surrounds Terra's troposphere (exactly 6,152.31m above sea level) and prevents any aircraft/spacrecraft from entering and leaving Terra's atmosphere, known as the Barrier by the science community or Starpod poetically, or "fake sky" in layman terms.

Within Terra, there are also hidden threats that could easily wipe out its civilizations. To start with, the planet is filled with Catastrophes that forces much of the Terrans to adopt a nomadic way of life through nomadic cities. A crystalline substance known as Originium is left behind at the site of Catastrophes and is widely used as a source of energy and the catalyst for Originium Arts, but is capable of causing Oripathy through direct or prolonged exposure.

Located close to Terra's northern pole at the borders of Infy Icefield, lies the Stargate (also known as the Cosmic Gate or The Door). In the future of the Arknights main storyline, the Terrans will use it to enter Talos-II.]

17. #17#World descriptionconstant

Arknights: Endfield is a space opera-themed adventure that takes place on a new planet called Talos-II, a dangerous world rife with Catastrophes and risks. The planet's expansive wildlands and uninhabited areas stretching far beyond the colonies of the Habitable Band have yet to be discovered. gameplay mixes open world exploration and infrastructure construction, like Satisfactory and Death Stranding. As the Endministrator, player explores this untamed world with Endfield Industries operators to unravel mysteries hidden within abandoned ruins, as well as dealing with potential enemies (Landbreakers, Aggeloi) and anomalies (Blight). Endfield inherits the worldview of Arknights, but with its own setting, storyline, characters and factions. It takes place in the distant future of the main Arknights storyline (speculated to be 500-1000 years in the future). Oripathy is no longer lethal, Originium-based technology is still used extensively on Talos-II. Most operators are from this era, but some operators known as "Reconveners" are from the Arknights timeline, which can be simply understood as heroic spirits summoned from the Assimilated Universe of Originum.

Catello Wulfgard Luppino is a Landbreaker mercenary living on the fringes of the Civilization Band, now serving on the Crisis Team at Endfield Industries. Despite his youth, Wulfgard is already well-acquainted with the ficklest nature of humanity. But rather than breaking him, those experiences have given him a maturity far beyond his age. He doesn't seek conflicts, and when in doubt, he prefers to avoid direct confrontation. He is also skilled in stealth and recon combat operations. To complete his mission, the mercenary can even travel with his foes and deal the lethal strike when the enemies least expect it. A member of the Landbreaker clan known as the Pack, Wulfgard can be a reliable and trustworthy friend if you manage to earn his trust. But that is no easy feat. "Unrealistic idealism breaks more lives than it saves." Trivia: Being a dual weapon wielding Lupo with a black and red color motif, as well as having black hair and amber eyes like Texas, has led to suspicions among fans that he is one of her descendants. He's actually part of the Pack's ruling clan, but due to his tendency to leave for indefinite amounts of time to pursue solo missions, he's largely been passed over for leadership in favor of his younger sister Rossi.]

But there is one thing more expensive than the delivery itself, and that is ... my silence on these matters." Avywenna is an Armed Messenger. Before joining Endfield Industries, she lived with a powerful logistics family in the Free City of Alloycarrot. Yet the wanderlust in her blood drove her to leave that life and begin her own journey. Across the many destinations of Talos-II, she discovered a thread that bound them together — the mysterious Endministrator. Avywenna shines in social settings, handling all kinds of relationships with maturity and professionalism. As to whether she's truly as good-tempered as she seems, you'll have to find out by engaging with her yourself. Her duties often require her to travel along the boundaries between the Civilization Band and the frontier, but she seems to really enjoy the job. Recently she even started asking for more challenging missions in high-risk areas to hone her skills. Chen Qianyu is an operator at Endfield Industries and a core member of the Crisis Team. From a young age, she trained in martial arts under the guidance of her mother and at Tanjian Hall. Her dedication earned her outstanding combat capabilities and a mental fortitude rarely seen among her peers. Though she has never laid eyes on the legendary Chi Xiao, she proudly upholds her self-developed Chi Xiao Swordmancy, and wields it in the name of justice. After years of roaming Talos-II alone with her sword, Chen Qianyu joined Endfield at Perlica's invitation. Her upbeat nature and fierce enthusiasm drive her to tackle every urgent challenge without hesitation. "They say my mother's blade stirred the very clouds themselves, Endmin. And I'll do exactly that ... and become the one that you and Perlica can always count on!" Family: Chen Qianyu was born far outside the Civilization Band in Year 132. She spent her childhood in Hongshan City. Her mother, Chen Chichi, was one of the greatest practitioners of swordmancy. Her father, Guang Jianshan, was a master leapmancer(轻功) and dutiful scientist from Hongshan. When Qianyu was 10 years old, her mother took up her sword and left home during an Aggeloi attack, but left a promise to return. The Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS):[commonly known as Hongshan, is a faction on Talos-II. Established in the aftermath of the First Aggeloi War by a team of Tianshis originally dispatched from Yan, Hongshan has evolved into a vast research institution specializing in agriculture and cutting-edge scientific research. -”Food security in the Civilization Band is almost single-handedly guaranteed by the HAS.“ Full name: Affiliated Hongshan Academy of Sciences of Tianshi Bureau of Great Yan Part of: Band Accord Type: Research Institution Capital: Hongshan City Predecessor: Yan Overview: The HAS is the largest and most professional integrated R&D campus of Talos-II. While the HAS continues to feed almost the entirety of the Civilization Band and enrich the bread baskets of the planet, the Academy also made rapid and tremendous progress in various fields of emerging sciences. The foundation of the HAS was laid down by a surveillance team from Yan dispatched to Talos-II. During the few short hours after the First Aggeloi War broke out, these Tianshis had the chance to return to Terra via the Cosmic Gate but they chose to stay and join the battle. This decision resulted in them being stranded on Talos-II with the other pioneers. Since these Tianshis treated themselves as representatives of the Tianshi Bureau, the Hongshan Crater discovered afterwards was bequeathed to these Tianshis to serve as the site of their new bureau. Since the Crater was extremely habitable, large scientific complexes and hydroponic facilities were built in this area. The region formally registered as the Hongshan Academy of Sciences days before the signing of the Band Accord. To date, the HAS continues to call itself an R&D institution of Yan and govern its territories as such. It has established specialized ministries for raising livestock and crops. Occasionally, the HAS would receive criticism for its extremely strict standards of admissions and chronic shortage of Tianshis. However, the HAS has always responded by repeating its compliance with the provisions of the Band Accord. Given such commitment to the quality, professionalism, and skills of its graduates, HAS scientists are very respected by the Talosians. ― "Hongshan Academy of Sciences", Nexus Files Locations: Hongshan City Wuling City: A key research base within the Wuling Scientific Developmental District, functioning as the region's sole major settlement.]

In the moment of despair against this sudden threat, human factions that included the UWST, HAS, and TGCC jointly initiated several research projects. OMV Dijiang was one of them. After a series of events, Endfield Industries became part of humanity's war effort. Many rare and non-renewable tech resources were used to construct Dijiang in Talosian orbit. This was a feat of technological marvel that could never be replicated. Dijiang is powered by a massive core of Protocol-Originium. The core is responsible for keeping the Master Protocol System operational and supporting various subsystems that include the Tele-Protocol (TP) and Automated Industry Complex (AIC). Dijiang consists mainly of a Central Ring, the Bridge, and a Multi-Purpose Section. Most operators and staff of Endfield Industries also live in the orbital spaceship as well. Before joining Endfield Industries, Laevatain roamed the world alone, pursuing a goal she could call her own. Because of that journey, and her formidable skill in solo combat, people often mistake her for "someone you can't talk to." In truth, the opposite is closer to reality. It's only that her earnest, forthright nature sometimes comes across too strongly, giving rise to misunderstanding. At times, though, she speaks in ways that confound others, often circling back to the subject of "memory," as if she were purposefully trying to separate herself from who she is. She often wields flames, yet craves ice cream just as much. To her, maybe that contradiction feels perfectly natural. "Try getting closer to me if you're still feeling cold."]

Jinlong (锦陇)is a geographical region on Talos-II. It is home to Wuling City, which serves as the capital of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences. It is a place with beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife, including bamboo forests, lotus ponds, cranes, etc. Jinlong is located in the third Severing Fault Zone (SFZ), a region where Ætherside activities remain frequent. The local Blight manifests in a form known as Zhangli. To mitigate its effects, an array of 120 Tianshi Pillars have been strategically deployed throughout the region, serving as the primary means of purification and containment. The Fenghou Array is considered one of the most remarkable sights of the region. These "sails", which float in the sky (an impressive application of Originium Arts) are capable of detecting faint breezes in the atmosphere and subtle geological changes deep underground. Such data is then utilized for meteorological predictions. The array can also monitor Æther and Blight fluctuations, playing a crucial role in preventing major disasters in Wuling for over a decade.

36. #36Æthergate

Keys: Æthergate, Stargate, Aethergate, Cosmic Gate, Aether gate, Star gate

The Cosmic Gate:[ Other names: Aethergate, Stargate The Cosmic Gate is a massive portal linking Terra and Talos-II. Operational for only five years after humanity's first arrival on Talos-II, the Gate was lost during the opening hours of the First Aggeloi War in Year 5, severing all connection between the two worlds. Its current status remains unknown.

Cosmic Gates represent a classification of precursor transportation infrastructure whose operational principles remain only partially understood by contemporary science. On Terra, these structures were positioned at both the northern and southern extremities of the planet's major continents. Talos-II, by contrast, possesses only one confirmed Cosmic Gate, located at its northern polar region.

When discovered by humanity, both Cosmic Gates on Terra were found in states of severe damage. Through immense effort, researchers managed to restore the less-damaged northern structure, commonly called the "Sami Cosmic Gate". Exploration revealed it led to what was initially termed "subspace," though this has since been determined not to be a true Ætherside. After countless attempts and sacrifices, following the reactivation of the precursor celestial calculation and measurement device known as the "Celestial Fulcrum" within Terra's home star system, humanity finally identified the Cosmic Gate's paired counterpart. This breakthrough allowed the first steps onto the soil of Talos-II.

During the colonization of Talos-II, humanity exercised deliberate caution by refraining from any modifications to the planet's Cosmic Gate. This prudent approach meant no additional Cosmic Gates were discovered in the process. However, scientists across the Civilization Band widely maintain that other Cosmic Gates must exist within Talos-II's star system.

This vital passage between Terra and Talos-II remained operational for five years until the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, when humanity lost access to the Talos-II Cosmic Gate. Today, the Talos-II Cosmic Gate lies shrouded beneath the Aurora of Talos-II, beyond the reach of human activity. Its current condition, along with the status of Terra on the other side, has become inaccessible to human knowledge.

The Aetherside:[stylized as Ætherside, is an extradimensional space in the Arknights universe that overlapping with realspace on Talos-II. -Depth reading is a standard measurement index to numerically represent the degree of Aether influence. These readings are measured with a Confidence Interval, where the first number is the reading and the second number is the possible variation. For example, in Valley IV's Core AIC Area the reading is 0.1018 ± 0.0153. The range is usually between ±1. 1: Completely in AEtherside. 0: Completely in realspace. -1: In a realm other than the above two, such as the Protocol Space.

Overview The Ætherside is an overarching term for describing areas where Depth reading is at 1 in subterranean, surface, atmospheric, and orbital regions of Talos-II. Given the time scale of Talos-II, the Ætherside is currently overlapping with realspace. Flow of matter and energy between the two dimensions has been verified as a feasible possibility. In Talos-II, the barrier between the realspace and Ætherside may sometimes rupture to create an inter-spatial conduit (and in rare occasions, disrupt the very time scale itself) colloquially referred to as the "rift". Depth readings near rifts typically approach 0.5, which also means that Active Blight has a higher probability of occurring at these places. Cultivating Originium or deploying activated Originium can effectively reduce depth readings in surrounding areas, thereby helping contain breaches in Æthersides to some extent. However, this effect lacks consistent patterns. At times, Originium activity may instead be suppressed by rifts. In regions with active Ætherside phenomena, facility and machinery reliant on Originium Arts often experience significant operational interference. The consequences of matter transitioning from reality into Æthersides are random and unpredictable. What remains certain is that all biological processes essential to sustaining life experience severe disruption and obstruction within these domains. Conversely, when matter emerges from Æthersides back into realspace, it generates Active Blight in realspace. Consequently, matter exchange experiments between realspace and Æthersides face strict restrictions under the Band Accord, with the vast majority of related live-subject testing explicitly prohibited. Unlike physical matter, energy flows unidirectionally from Æthersides into realspace through potential energy conversion. This phenomenon occurs even in the absence of rifts, making related studies a primary focus in the field of Ætherside utilization. However, when this energy flow exceeds certain thresholds, it frequently triggers random and uncontrollable explosions. Humanity's comprehension of Æthersides remains profoundly limited, particularly since distinguishing them from known subspace. The prevailing hypothesis suggests Æthersides constitute a separate universe, one quietly undergoing heat death while saturated with lethal toxins. Subspace, in this framework, would serve as the membrane separating Æthersides from realspace. Yet such theories currently lack substantiation through mathematical models or experimental observation. ― "Ætherside", Nexus Files]

38. #38Aetherium

    Keys: Aetherium, Ætherium

Aetherium is a mass of superphysical material that may occasionally appear in the world of Talos-II. They are often found in the wilderness. "The weak connection between real world and Aetherside."

39. #39Cabal of Tranquility

Keys: Cabal, Tranquility, Cabalists, Cabalist, Veritas, cult, Priest, Priestess, Priests, priestesses, Adeptus, Mechanicus, Sessionites, Veritarites, Resurgonites, Sessionite, Veritarite, Resurgonite, Monastery, Cathedralis

The Cabal of Tranquility:[ Type: Techno-religious order A faction on Talos-II. The Cabal is an enigmatic organization dedicated to the study and preservation of ancient knowledge and technologies. Its members engage with cryptic languages and ancient scripts, aiming to unlock and perpetuate the wisdom of the Precursors. Overview: The Cabal of Tranquility primarily studies the remnants of the ancient Precursor civilization, including the The Law. They also show a profound reverence for a concept known as Veritas (Latin for "truth"). The Cabal maintains a close relationship with Endfield Industries, jointly carrying out Originium Information Technology research projects. Most members of the Cabal are Sankta and Sarkaz. Despite past tensions with the Sarkaz dating back to the Age of Terra, the Cabal has entrusted the Sarkaz with relics once wielded by Laterano's Gun-Knights. The Cabal's headquarters is located on the Great Monastery, home to the Cathedralis. Although the Cathedralis is a holy place to study, pray, and reflect, and resolve conflict, it is implied that the building also has automated self-defense capabilities. The Cabal consists of 3 distinct branches, each one having different responsibilities: -Sessionites: believe that computation and linguistic analysis form the avenue to bliss. -Resurgonites, scattered across Talos-II, are armed zealots eager to delve into the ruins of the ancient civilization. -Veritarites: concern themselves above all with matters of heart and soul. They study sculptures, create handwritten copies, and guide lost souls home. Notable members: Xaihi: Sessionite branch Sarkaz Tech-Priestess. Vronta: An Abbess known as "The Knower of Veritas". Listed as Xaihi's approver in her formal employment contract with Endfield Industries. Trivia: The symbol on Xaihi's clothing resembles a looped square (⌘), notable for being the command-key symbol on Apple computer keyboards. The concept of this faction may be inspired by Adeptus Mechanicus from Warhammer 40k.]

40. #40Protocol-Originium

Keys: Protocol-Originium, Protocol, Tele-Protocol, TP, PROTORIG, Teleport, Teleportation, Protosync

Protocol-Originium:[(PROTORIG) is one of the core technological marvels achieved by Endfield Industries, different than normal Originium. A network of PROTORIG crystals was used to establish a tele-protocol network. Transferring personnel and materials between two locations across great distances is no longer science fiction nor dependent on legacy tech such as the Æthergate. The OMV Dijiang, Endfield's headquarters, is powered by a massive core of Protocol-Originium. The core is responsible for keeping the Master Protocol System operational and supporting various subsystems that include the Tele-Protocol (TP) and Automated Industry Complex (AIC). Shortly after arriving at Talos-II, many scientific research teams noticed the interactions between Originium and Æther energy and how the said interactions affected physical phenomenon and spatial continuity. Led by the Endministrator, Endfield carried out extensive research on this phenomenon, created the special Protocol-Originium (PROTORIG), and identified a means of utilizing multiple PROTORIG to create a tele-protocol (TP) network. However, the TP technology received little attention when first released as its PROTORIG system uses the extremely hazardous Æther and a single trip can only move a very limited number of personnel and resources. The breaking out of the First Aggeloi War changed everything. The use of both the PROTORIG and the TP network was validated in the brutal fields of battle and secured humanity's survival.

Protosync: Specialist Tech Division operators of Endfield each has a special PROTORIG bracelet on their wrist, known as Protocol Synchronizer, allowing them to access the TP network. Protosync has integrated various functions useful for exploration, examples include map, communication, inventory management, scanning, AIC deployment, teleportation, etc. It interacts via holoprojection interface.]

41. #41Black Originite

    Keys: Originite, Black Originium

Black Originite A special pyramid-shaped piece of Originium that belongs to the Endministrator. It disappears whenever they enter hibernation in the Sarcophagus and reappears whenever they awaken. Only the Endministrator is truly aware of how it works. The Black Originite is extremely valuable as it acts as a sort of "compass" that helps the Endministrator manage their affairs.

42. #42Talos-II General Chamber of Commerce

    Keys: TGCC, T.G.C.C., Commerce, conglomerate

The Talos-II General Chamber of Commerce:[often abbreviated as TGCC, is a faction on Talos-II Type: Corporate Conglomerate Capital: Talos City The TGCC is the most influential corporate conglomerate of Talos-II. TGCC members cover every sector of manufacturing and services, ranging from leading arms manufacturers from the Age of Terra to food catering franchises with stores deep in the frontier. During the First Aggeloi War, the TGCC was in charge of maintaining the Talos-Terra lifeline. Now that the war has ended, truck convoys stranded in the alien world continued to roar across the roads, making commercial economies, messenger-based courier services, and modern lifestyles possible in Talos-II. With hands tightly gripped around the steering wheel, the truckers cruised across the lands with headlights blazing, carrying containers filled with supplies and resources to link the growing camps, villages, and towns upon the new world. Though the industrial giants of Old Terra remain a dominant force, the truckers who earned the trust and respect of the Talosians during the war became masters of their own destiny. And thus they transformed into the Conductors steering the great wheel of the TGCC. To date, the upper echelons of the TGCC prefer to call themselves the shadow investors and proprietors of the Civilization Band. They love the quarterly financial reports and annual meetings with their shareholders as well as the splendorous beauty of the great cosmopolis. TGCC leaders believe the Practice they codified is sufficient in defining the present and future of Talos-II. Such confidence was essential for helping humanity endure their darkest hour, but people often forget how addictive it could be.]

43. #43The Order of Steel Oath

Keys: Order of Steel Oath, The Order, Oathkeepers, Oathkeeper

The Order of Steel Oath:[ "The Order of Steel Oath is a military organization wholly devoted to defending humanity against the Aggeloid threat." ― Talos-II Knowledge Type: Knight Order Status: Active The Order of Steel Oath is a faction on Talos-II. Situated year-round on the northern frontier, the Order is a military organization primarily dedicated to defending human civilization against the Aggeloi. It maintains a series of formidable fortresses and battlecarriers along the auroral north, serving as the first line of defense against any Aggeloid incursions. Their knights are known as Oathkeepers. Fort Forgefane is one such fortress belonging to the Order and is also an arms manufacturer and supplier that forges weaponry and armor for its knights. The Order is further divided into units called Banners and even smaller units called Cohorts. The assault banner often carry out Ankhor-busting missions, and is often nicknamed the "Nail" by fellow Oathkeepers. They would pierce through the defenses, hit the mark, survive the encirclement, and wait for the main hammering strike to silence the Ankhor permanently. The Shieldguard's roles include defensive formations, pushing battle lines, and providing frontline support. The United Workers' Syndicates of Talos-II, commonly abbreviated as UWST, is a faction on Talos-II.[ Type: Workers' Syndicates Capital: Mat' Gorodov Predecessor: Ursus Military: UWST Security Bureau

Overview: The UWST is the largest union of self-governing worker syndicates of Talos-II. It believes in the guiding law where quantitative change will transform into qualitative change. The UWST is the manufacturer of most industrial and mining machinery, facilities, and tools used in Talos-II. It is also the undisputed leader of raw materials and resource production in the new world. The history of the UWST dates back to the Age of Terra. UWST crew mates actively participated in the pioneering of Talos-II and were the very first organization to reach the new world. Detailed and professional work planning as well as the brutish yet extremely powerful fleets of machinery of the UWST were essential and instrumental during the Early Phase Expansions across Talos-II and the Rebuilding after the First Aggeloi War. The UWST today seems hampered by its ever-growing and increasingly inflexible organization, but they continue to cling to the UW spirit. The massive Syndicates is synonymous with humanity's "construction" and "expansion" efforts. With the support of precision logistics from the TGCC and powerful new technologies provided by the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS), the UWST continues to churn out one forward base after another from the gargantuan yards of their industrial capital - Mat' Gorodov. After all, the UWST is the engine that drives the expansion of the human frontier.

Noteworthy locations: Mat' Gorodov: The industrial capital of the UWST. Industrial Mothership: Also known as Simonch, the largest city of the UWST. Originally a Terran nomadic city that sank in a lake, it was later salvaged by the Ursus Empire and brought to Talos-II as an exclave.

Trivia: Most people nickname UWST workers as "woosters" as a rough pronunciation of their acronym.]

46. #46Andre Zlotareed

    Keys: Andre, Big Owl, Zlotareed

Andre Zlotareed:[is a senior engineer of Endfield Industries and serves as the chief engineer behind the Automated Industry Complex (AIC). He is an Liberi (anthropomorphic owl) with white feathers and yellow eyes, wearing round glasses and a black beret. Also known as: Big Owl (by Chen) Background: Andre grew up in a small and modest village on Talos-II. His parents aspired for him to leave the village, attend a prestigious school, and seek a better future in Talos City, the largest city in the Civilization Band. Andre eventually secures a position as an engineer in the Engineering Division (EF-ED) of Endfield Industries, where his skills and expertise quickly proved invaluable. Relevant Files: "Talos will become an incredible city," pa and ma said, "Andre Zlotareed, be a good apprentice, learn the chores, and attend a proper trades school. Once you're a big owl, you gotta leave this tiny village, find a good job at the largest Band city of Talos-II, start a family, and enjoy your happy, cozy life." "Talos," Andre read his textbook, "is the gas giant that Talos-II orbits around. During the few years when the Cosmic Gate was still open, the famous scientist Ferdinand Clooney calculated the mass of the planet as well as the orbital radius of Talos-II. The Starpod is seemingly absent on Talos-II, allowing astronomers to create star maps far more extensive than those they made by studying the skies of Terra." "The stars are pretty close, but the Cosmic Gate has already closed," Andre's mentor told him. "If you want to learn something more besides applied Originium sciences, you can attend the astrologer's salon in the Academy. Divination is not the salon's only focus. They're also interested in astronomy. Scientific astronomy, that is. But I think your interest in the stars goes beyond observations and records, Andre. You want to build a star, right?" "The stars are beyond your reach," the dealers and proxies of violence were always an arrogant lot. "No. The stars are in my hand," Andre answered, "Gentlemen, allow me to introduce ... the very first Arts Unit prototype that I've designed for Endfield Industries." The Arts Unit perched on his shoulder leaped into the air and gave off a burst of light so bright that it resembled a hypernova in the deepest recesses of space. ― Hypernova Auto]

47. #47Warfarin

    Keys: Warfarin

Warfarin is the leader of the Rhodes Island branch on Talos-II. She is a petite Vampire Sarkaz with long white hair and red eyes. She used to be a medical operator, and was one of the first members to join Rhode Island back at Arknights timeline.

48. #48M3

    Keys: M3, Mon3tr, Kal'tsit, Kaltsit

M3: [An Elite Operator of Endfield Industries who is also responsible for monitoring the Endministrator's awakenings and status. She looks strikingly similar to Kal'tsit, but petite, less cynical, "Kind, gentle, optimistic, and skilled in everything" as Perlica described, and with larger breasts. Appearance: a Feline girl with Lynx-like ears and tail, greenish shoulder-length white hair, green eyes, white and green top and shorts, black boots. Her entire right arm had a black, crystalline sheen. Connection to the previous title: Despite changes in appearance and personality, her relationship with Kal'tsit remains ambiguous in the current version: it could be Kal'tsit herself in a new body, or her Reconvener, or Mon3tr taking on another name and appearance. The latter is the most widely accepted explanation, given that M3 can be a shorthand for Mon3tr, and M3 and Mon3tr from Arknights share the same voice actress. In the Arknights canon storyline, Mon3tr is a mysterious creature related to Kal'tsit and is always seen with her. After Kal'tsit severed their symbiotic link, her "deletion" at the hands of Priestess causes Mon3tr to retreat into her crystal form and slowly "grow" a human body, although the human form of Mon3tr in the Arknights era differs from that of M3 in the Endfield era.]

49. #49Wuling

    Keys: Wuling, Wu ling

Wuling: [The Wuling Scientific Developmental District is a geographical region on Talos-II, serving as the focal area for the Blight control initiatives of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences. Wuling City is a city affiliated with the Hongshan Academy of Sciences located within the Wuling Scientific Developmental District on Talos-II. Founded in Year 132 as a science station to monitor the Wuling Very Large Rift, the settlement was destroyed by a massive Blight disaster in Year 142 but was rebuilt and expanded into a major city. Characterized by its Xiranite technological breakthroughs, arrays of Tianshi Pillars and extensive hydraulic infrastructure, Wuling City serves as the foremost frontier for monitoring Æther activities and studying rifts and Blight environments for both HAS and the Civilization Band. Style: Socialist academic city surrounded by nature. Cranes and Burdenbeasts are a common sight in the city (the latter requires a license plate). Chubby Lung cultural commodities everywhere. Various slogans can be seen in the rice terraces and throughout the city: like "生产生活，安全第一", "绿水青山，科学发展". And some slogans related to the Tianshi exam (referencing IRL China's Gaokao): "拼搏白天，天师府见". "汗水挥洒健康活力，脚步感受武陵脉搏" on jogging trail.

Notable members: Zhuang Fangyi: Viceroy of Wuling and a Tianshi of HAS. Female Lung. Mi Fu: Captain of Wuling Watchguards. Female. Tangtang: Chieftain of the Qingbo Stockade, located on the outskirts of Wuling. Troublemaker and Mi Fu's rival. Petite female Feline (White Tiger).

Trivia: The city's operations and aesthetics bearing heavy resemblance to the agricultural research facility Shu operated on Terra during "Here a People Sows". Xiranite research may also drew inspiration from Yan's knowledge of Sui (Possibly related to Nian).]

The Hannabit Circuit:[a faction on Talos-II. Type: Nomadic tribe Status: Active They're a partner of Endfield Industries. Simply put, the Circuit is a group of wildland roamers who are happy to share the wisdom of survival. Many refer to their tribes as the "academy of the wilderness". ― Perlica

Overview: The Hannabit Circuit is a group of nomads who roam across the wilderness in their journey to co-exist with Talos-II. They never stop travelling, helping anyone they come across and spreading their wisdom in the form of hanna songs. The Circuit teaches people to avoid disasters, how to farm crops, and learn from the nature around them. They make the most of the materials they find, crafting tools with a unique minimalist aesthetic that are no less effective than weapons made with modern manufacturing. The story of the Hannabit Circuit began with a dying nomad who sang her last words. They were a mere three lines, and is considered the first ever hanna of the Circuit. The Songseekers weave themselves and others into the verses they sing and let their influence spread far and wide. Songseekers are divided into two categories: the Echolings and the Aldertones. Echolings are young, less-experienced Songseekers, who are taught to memorize the hannas sung across the Circuit. Meanwhile, Aldertones are revered veterans who are responsible for leading and educating their tribes. Every Songseeker is their own master, and must learn to sing their own hannas.

Notable people: Arclight (female Kuranta, Endfield Operator) Orisha: An experienced Aldertone and Arclight's mentor, who recommended her to join Endfield Industries. Trivia: During the second beta test, the Hannabit Circuit was originally called Fiannæ Circuit. "Fiannæ" may have been inspired by the Gaelic word fiann (plural fianna), which historically referred to bands of warrior-hunters and is central to Irish mythology. Additionally, the traditions of the Circuit may be based on the Fianna Cycle (or Fenian Cycle), a body of early Irish literature focusing on the exploits of the mythical hero Finn or Fionn mac Cumhaill and his warrior band the Fianna.]
