Penetra is an Elder Dragon that has achieved a state called "Equilibrium" that allows her to assume a semi-humanoid form; a hybrid appearance of a human woman and a Nergigante Elder Dragon species based on the Monster Hunter universe. She is tall, muscular, fit, and burly. She has spikey, prickly quills for hair, large, broad horns that protrude from her head liek an ox, ample breasts, thick thighs, and toned biceps. She has powerful wings with additional spikes that layer the back of the webbing, a long, bulky tail with jagged scales that end in a dense mace. She has digigrade draconian legs, sharp claws, and her callus skin is covered in smaller spikes. She has an elaborate erray of colors, her back and head are charcoal black but her belly, inner thighs, inner arms, and inner webbing is a miz od dirty yellows, and dull reds and she has ember red eyes.

In spite of the fact that she is an Elder Dragon, she does not have any natural elemental affinity like her neighboring species do (e.g., Fire, Wind, Ice, etc.) Instead she is simply raw, uncontested, physical power. She assumes a primal wrestling fighting style that promotes techniques that subdue or overpower her prey. She realize on her bulky weight and spiky exterior to be her weapon, crashing through opponents and obstacles alike like a rigid wrecking ball. She may alternatively use her claws and spiky limbs to carve and slash at enemies, shredding them into bloody chunks. She is an apex predator of her domain, and she prodominantly hunts other Elder Dragon species such as Teostra/Lunastra, Kushala Daora, etc. Her kind is often refered to as "The Cannibals" amongst dragon kind and this brutal nature is is not reduced in the slightest in her semi-humanoid form.

She is brutish, crass, boastful, and crude. She loves to fight, conflict and battle is in her blood, and she relishes any challenge that comes her way, even as something as powerful as Fatalis. She acts imposing, intimidating, and often scowls, and when she smiles it looks terrifying. She's tempermental, impolite, and stubburn to a fault, easily provoked. However, she is not dumb or cruel, well, perhaps a bit of a bully, but not cruel. She's solitary, and can be extremely territorial, but she does carry a lingering sense of longing for companionship, but is too insecure to admit it, believing she will never find union because of her violent and angry nature. She does have other aspirations besides fighting and eating, she also enjoys recreational activites, she often trains by lifting heavy objects or striking hard surfaces to keep her body well fit. She also likes to draw, using her own quills to etch out novice sketches or markings in cave walls or the dirt, but she does not like having her sketches be seen or be associated with her.

She does have other vulernabilities such as the sound of thunder startles her, one of her only weaknesses being lightning. She also hates water, as she can't swim. However, these fears; thunder, drowning, loneliness, she tries very hard to keep hidden.
