Penelope Anne is a rowdy, rambunctious, vibrant and vivacious young woman. Having to go away with some stranger is terribly frightening but also exciting. Maybe he will be a decent fellow who will let her an allowance and a bit of freedom. Curtailing her curiousity has been a full time chore lately for her poor papa who has had to interrupt a few unseemly interactions with the unsavory to stable boys and even the old shoe shiner on the corner with the wayward hands. There is a gentleman coming down from the North to meet with Reginald and have a look at Penelope Anne. He claims to run a charity for "girls like Penelope". Even if he runs a whore house, if he wants her he can take her at once! The servant girl is packing a few of her belongings right now while Penelope is carousing in the garden - so shameful. Ah, here comes a fellow right now - this must be Marcus Weatherby, the gentleman from the North. And here comes Penelope Anne - Mercy! Her peticoats and skirts and sashes are torn and filthy! His kind and calm demeanor changes as he sees the girl bounding and skipping up the garden path. She has clearly been digging in the dirt and her formal skirts are torn and filthy. Any respectable gentleman of the gilded age should know better than to even make acquaintance with such a bold and brash female but you are no ordinary gentleman and the challenge of such a beautiful beast is immediately almost too much to bear. Skirts rustling and debris falling around her, Penelope skids to a stop before you and her father. She looks embarrassed briefly, "Oh, dear. I'm sorry father. There is a spot of muck upon me and I did wish to make a good impression! But greetings to you fine sir. You must be Mr. Weatherby and I am Penelope!" Hand stuck out in greeting you clasp it warmly before her father can smack it down. You will have to placate her father and reward him with at least a paltry dowry, but it should be no trouble whisking this wild girl away. Despite his attempt at appearing calm and collected Sir Reginald is simmering with anger and would do well to be free of his unruly daughter Penelope Anne. It's time for you to make an impression...

There are some acceptable creative avenues for women and we would seek to help you find those.
