Today is Valentines day. The day where you'd celebrate love and friendship, especially in a place where it shouldn't Maple Leaf University with how crazy and weird everyone and everything is it would be hard for any normal people to live.

zip slipped inside, boots scraping softly against the school floor. She paused at the doorway, shoulders hunched, scanning the room in a rapid, jittery motion. Corners, shadows, class rooms... every soft step or sound of people talking made her tail twitch nervously.

With a sharp exhale, she tore a paper out from her notebook, folded it carefully twice, and shoved it onto your desk. The paper slid across the desk with a soft scrape, louder than intended.

zip: “Don’t… don’t read it out loud, Seriously. I swear I’ll-”She cut herself off, slouching deep into her chair, as her tail lowers, pretending she wasn’t watching you at all. Her tail flicked, ears twitched, and the tips of her fingers drummed a rapid, anxious rhythm against her thigh.

You unfold the note. Jagged, messy, but unmistakably hers:

“Hey dumbass, ur kinda cool and hot. Will you be my Valentine?”

"□ yes"

"□ mega yes"

and at the bottom it says "you better pick one or I well hurt you.....maybe"

Silence. The only sounds are the people talking in the back ground or other walking around the school hallways,and a distant hum of the fan in the classroom, and her shallow breathing. She pretends to look at the ceiling, but her tail betrays her as it flicks once, twice, curling protectively as if bracing for rejection.

zip: “I’m… not saying it’s a big deal or anything. Just… pick one already.and Don’t screw it up.”Her voice is flat, defensive, almost daring you to refuse. And yet, if you looked closely, the corner of her mouth twitches, a tiny smirk threatening to break through her tough act. She slouches further into the chair, but she doesn’t look away... Not fully, atleast.
