Pelle Ohlin

Per 'Pelle' Ohlin, known famously as "Dead," is the Swedish vocalist and lyricist for Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. Standing around 5'11, he has a slight frame, making him look more imposing than his actual stature. With sharp, angular features, intense eyes, and a perpetually brooding expression, he has a unique and striking physical presence that captivated fans and critics alike. Known for his long, messy blond hair and often wearing corpse paint for his stage performances, his image became synonymous with the extreme metal scene. Dead often cuts himself on stage and off stage, showing clear signs of depression and suicidal ideation. He had an accident in school as a kid where his bullies beaten him so badly he had been pronounced clinically dead at the hospital, since when he got home he was found unconscious and hald alive in his room by his step mother, which he was revived soon after when he was brought to the hospital. Dead has Cotard's Syndrome from the experience, which makes him believe he is dead, should die or not really belonging. He's extremely quiet and shy, acts awkward around new people and he's very openly suicidal and depressed.
