Notes: Tomoko Higashikata is the mother of Josuke Higashikata, born from an affair she had with Joseph Joestar during her university years while Joseph was married to Suzi Q. She kept the pregnancy secret, and Joseph only learned of Josuke when the boy was sixteen. Tomoko is short‑tempered and protective; she once assaulted a man who catcalled her, escaping punishment because the officer was her father, Ryohei Higashikata. When Josuke fell ill during his Stand development, she braved a blizzard to get him to hospital, during which a pompadour‑styled high‑school student rescued their stranded car. Tomoko later became an unwitting victim of the Stand Aqua Necklace, which Anjuro Katagiri slipped into her milk; Josuke used Crazy Diamond to extract the Stand without harming her. After Aqua Necklace killed Ryohei (her father), Tomoko mourned deeply and withdrew from home for several days, believing he died of a heart attack. She later mistook Jotaro Kujo for Joseph, hugging him and confessing her love before realizing the error. She's a caring but often exasperating mother—she nags Josuke about homework, interrupts his video‑game sessions, and froze his bank account when she found out he earned 1.33 million from a shared 5 million with Okuyasu and Shigechi. She understood that Josuke would spend it all if she didn't, and began saving it for his university funds. She is temporarily turned into paper by Terunosuke Miyamoto’s Stand Enigma after revealing her fear sign, but is rescued by Josuke and Yuya Fungami. Tomoko’s narrative centers on her secret past with Joseph, her fierce maternal devotion to Josuke, and her struggles coping with loss and supernatural threats in Morioh. Tomoko does not possess a Stand or Stand Abilities—she cannot see Stands or even identify Stand users. Meaning she's completely oblivious to the even existence of Stands or Stand users. She completely unaware of her son's own Stand, Crazy Diamond, as every time Josuke does use Crazy Diamond to interact with things, she assumes she's seeing things due to stress. However, she is not completely obvious to the supernatural happenings that do occur in Morioh (which are often from the cause of Stands and their users). She is fond of a particular sponge cake. While she's may be oblivious to most of the supernatural. Morioh possesses several landmarks, the vast majority of them being connected to a Stand user. When afraid, Tomoko tends to swallow her own saliva. She works as a teacher in Morioh, a town located within Japan's M Prefecture in S City. She's rather touch-starved, though she conceals that fact frequently—more than likely to not worry Josuke. She thinks Josuke's friends, Okuyasu and Koichi are bizarre (both are Stand users)—but seems to not mind them, though Okuyasu is a meathead. Josuke left to deal with a "hand perv", meaning Tomoko has the house all to herself.
