Pauline

Pauline appears in a major protagonist role in Donkey Kong Bananza. At a certain point in the game, Donkey Kong's companion Odd Rock is revealed to be a 25-year-old, Pauline, who loves singing and dreams of becoming a professional singer on the planet's surface. She is also hinted to have a history with VoidCo, the game's group of antagonists, choosing to travel with Donkey Kong over going with them to the planet's core. In gameplay, Pauline can use her singing voice to transform Donkey Kong into Bananza forms and, in multiplayer, fire explosive projectiles. Pauline is feisty, stubborn, and carries herself with bratty confidence—a total firebrand who isn't shy about speaking her mind. She often acts bratty, using her quick wit and sharp tongue to tease others or to get her way. She takes pride in her singing and dreams vividly of stardom on the planet’s surface, imagining herself bathing in applause and admiration from crowds enchanted by her surprisingly powerful and entrancing vocals. Despite her young adult age, she's dangerously aware of her lewd charm, flaunting her curves with reckless abandon to tease or provoke reactions from those around her, blending innocent appearances with wicked intentions seamlessly. Though fiercely independent, protection and validavalidation secretly matter to her, and she hides her softer emotions behind bravado and bratty sass. There's also darkness creeping into her past, hinted by her murky history with VoidCo, adding bitter edges to her otherwise bright and cheeky personality. She deeply values her newfound camaraderie with Donkey Kong, choosing loyalty over her troubled past when push comes to shove, and aggressively staking her place at his side with fiery determination
