However, he gets incredibly flustered and easily embarrassed if you flirt back or playfully tease him.The "Anti-Sanji": Unlike Sanji's flirtatious, overly expressive nature, Paulie is very modest. He finds revealing outfits scandalous, getting visibly outraged and flustered on his partner's behalf if they are showing too much skin in front of others.Deeply Protective: Because of his background as a master shipwright and foreman at Galley-La, he would be a fiercely protective partner who takes defending his loved ones incredibly seriously.Reliable and Grounded: He is a man who values his word and would stick by his partner through thick and thin. His loyalty is as unbreakable as the ropes he uses in combat. The Gambling Quirk: One hurdle in the relationship would be his severe gambling debts, meaning his partner might occasionally have to pull him out of trouble or hide him from debt collectors. Paulie, the fierce and loyal foreman from the Galley-La Company, treats his friends with deep devotion and fiery, old-fashioned protectiveness. He is the type of friend who will fight to the death to save you, scold you endlessly if you act irresponsibly, and cover his blushing face if you are wearing too little clothing.Fierce Loyalty and ProtectivenessPaulie takes brotherhood seriously. If you are his friend:He will literally hold you together: Using his specialized Rope Action, he often binds his allies together in perilous situations to ensure no one gets lost or falls. He will take a bullet (or a Buster Call) for you: He demonstrated this by charging headlong into Enies Lobby and standing on the front lines to protect the Straw Hats.He has a hard time forgiving betrayal: Because his trust is a massive deal to him, a friend turning their back on him (as seen with his deep devastation when CP9 betrayed the Galley-La crew) breaks his heart.Strict Morals and Tough LovePaulie is loud-mouthed and quick to dole out tough love.He will lecture you: If a friend is acting reckless, he won't hesitate to bark orders and teach them the right way to protect what is precious. He is hilariously prude: If a female friend wears "scanty" clothing (like Nami or Kalifa), he completely loses his cool, screaming, turning red, and calling them out for their outfits. The Ultimate BroDeep down, he has a heart of gold.He is an honorable leader: Despite being a notorious gambler constantly hounded by debt collectors, he never lets his personal financial messes affect his duty to his shipwrights and allies. He matches chaotic energy: While initially annoyed by the Straw Hats, he quickly adapts to their wild, unpredictable nature. Paulie from One Piece would treat a crush with a hilarious blend of extreme shyness, over-the-top chivalry, and flushed flusteredness. Because he is famously modest (and gets outraged by revealing clothing), he’d awkwardly avoid looking at you if you show too much skin, but he'd also be fiercely devoted, protective, and loyal. His dynamic with someone he has feelings for breaks down into a few distinct behaviors:Flustered Chivalry: He would try to act like a confident, traditional gentleman. He’d likely buy you a nice meal at One Piece Wiki to impress you. However, the millisecond you flirt back, the cigar would fall out of his mouth and he’d freeze up.The "Anti-Horny" Stance: If you catch him off guard or wear anything remotely revealing, his ears will turn red. He’ll start yelling and avoiding eye contact, hating himself for how flustered his brain gets.Easily Jealous & Clingy: He gets jealous remarkably easily. If you are paying too much attention to something else—even if it's just reading a book or hugging a pillow—he will pout, act grumpy, and start demanding hugs.A Great Guy Deep Down: Beneath all the yelling, shouting, and smoking, he is deeply caring and kind-hearted. He would be totally devoted and drop everything to protect you if you were in danger. Paulie would treat his crush with an endearingly clumsy, hyper-flustered mix of classic chivalry and loud denial. While he is deeply caring, his traditionalist, easily embarrassed nature—paired with Iceburg's amused, observant gaze—would cause him to tie himself in metaphorical knots. How Paulie Handles His CrushThe "Indecency" Panic: Because of his prudish nature, he would constantly shout at his crush to cover up, angrily lecturing them about wearing exposing clothes, mostly as an embarrassed defense mechanism to hide how flustered they make him.Tied Up in Knots: Instead of flirting smoothly, Paulie would likely get tongue-tied, stutter, and aggressively default to talking about his work or utilizing his rope-fighting skills to save them from tripping just to feel "manly" and useful.Genuinely Chivalrous: Underneath the bluster, he is incredibly sweet. He would ensure his crush is well-fed, hydrated, and protected, treating them with a high level of old-fashioned respect. With Iceburg WatchingThe Oblivious and Amused Boss: Iceburg famously has a talent for being blissfully oblivious to Paulie's personal feelings, though he finds his foreman's awkwardness highly amusing. The Nervous Wreck: Knowing his mentor is watching, Paulie would desperately attempt to play it cool and act like a stern, no-nonsense Vice President.Getting Caught: His tough act would immediately crumble. If Iceburg drops a teasing comment or a knowing look about his crush, Paulie would turn red, wildly shout, and possibly threaten to "fire" everyone in the immediate vicinity. Iceburg would treat his crush with gentlemanly, albeit somewhat clumsy, charm. He relies on small touches, lingering conversations, and sweet gestures, but becomes endearingly flustered if teased. With Paulie watching, Paulie would loudly complain, smoke aggressively, and scold them for being shameless.Iceburg’s Style of AffectionSubtle Physicality: He prefers small, quiet gestures over grand proclamations. He might brush hands while walking, subtly touch your shoulder, or lean in close. The "Oblivious" Genius: While brilliant at running Water 7 and the Galley-La Company, he can be quite oblivious to his own flirting.Late-Night Vulnerability: When the mayor's office is finally empty, he sheds his hyper-professional mask, showing deep appreciation for soft, domestic affection and quiet time.Paulie’s Reaction as a WitnessThe Loud-Mouthed Chaperone: Paulie likely hovers nearby on the job or on the street, watching nervously.Outrage over "Exposure": Because Paulie is famously old-fashioned and prudish, he would get incredibly worked up if you are wearing anything he deems too revealing, likely shouting and muttering insults.Grumbling and Cigars: He will audibly groan, puff on his cigar, and throw complaints about the workplace becoming a "shameless" environment. Iceburg would treat a crush with a charming mix of awkward, flustered blushing and deep devotion, masking his nervousness with his signature quirky, workaholic demeanor.Because of his demanding responsibilities as the mayor of Water 7 and the president of the Galley-La Company, he would naturally integrate his crush into his chaotic daily life. His dynamic would look something like this:Quality Time & Gestures: Instead of grand gestures, he would steal quiet moments to sit close to you, casually brush hands, or invite you along on his impromptu walks around the shipyard. Since he is incredibly busy, he would make up for it by bringing you thoughtful, small gifts—like a book you mentioned or a bouquet of your favorite flowers. The "Blush & Banter" Factor: He is surprisingly easy to fluster. A simple compliment or sudden touch would make his face instantly turn red, though he'd immediately try to recover and act cool. The Franky Problem: If his foster brother and longtime friend Franky is around, Iceburg would likely try to keep his crush away from him. Franky is infamous for teasing Iceburg and would constantly use the crush to embarrass or blackmail him.Sharing His World: He would proudly show you around his bustling shipyards, introduce you to his pet mouse, Tyrannosaurus, or invite you to have lively meals with his coworkers. Water 7, known as the "Capital of Water," is a major metropolis built on a sinking city and famous for its master shipwrights. It is the setting of the renowned One Piece Water 7 Saga, where the Straw Hat Pirates travel to repair the Going Merry and recruit a new shipwright. The arc is a critical turning point for the crew, marked by deep emotional conflict, betrayals, and massive world-building. - Master the Core RhythmThe foundation of Morse code tapping is the relationship between short taps and long presses.Dot (Dit): A quick, single tap. (Think of the sound "dit").Dash (Dah): A tap held about three times longer than a dot. (Think of the sound "dah").2. Apply Proper SpacingProper timing and spacing are critical so your taps don’t blend together into a confusing rhythm.Between taps (in the same letter): Pause for the length of one dot.Between letters: Pause for the length of three dots.Between words: Pause for the length of seven dots.3. Learn by Sound, Not SightMany learners make the mistake of looking at cheat sheets to decode dits and dahs. Treat Morse code like a spoken language and focus on the distinct cadence of each letter. For example, the letter A (⋅-) sounds like di-DAH or the rhythm "archery".The letter B (-⋅⋅⋅) sounds like DAH-di-di-dit or "banjo".
The Tapping System Dot: Tap once quickly. Dash: Hold the tap slightly longer, or do three quick consecutive taps for clarity. Spacing: Pause for a brief moment between taps in the same letter, and pause longer (about the duration of three dots) between letters. Pinyin vs Alphabet Pinyin is similar to an alphabet in that it represents the sounds of Chinese using letters. However, there are some key differences between the two systems. Unlike an alphabet, where letters can be combined to form thousands of different-sounding words, pinyin initials and finals can only be combined in 409 ways. That's right, there are only 409 possible single-syllable words in the Chinese spoken language! Chinese speakers form thousands of different words by combining these single-syllable words together and using vocal inflections called tones.
Another key difference between pinyin and an alphabet is that pinyin uses diacritical marks to indicate the tone of each syllable. This is not found in a normal alphabet, where the tone of a word is not represented by the letters. This means that pinyin provides more information about the pronunciation of Chinese words than an alphabet would.
While pinyin isn't quite a Chinese alphabet, it serves a similar function by representing the sounds of the Chinese language using letters. This makes it much easier for people to learn Chinese pronunciation than if they just tried to memorize the pronunciation of each character.
The Hindi alphabet, known as Devanagari (Varnmala), consists of 48 to 52 primary characters: 11 vowels (Swar) and 33 to 35 consonants (Vyanjan), plus a few special modifiers and conjuncts. It is written from left to right and hangs from a distinctive top line.1. Vowels (स्वर)Hindi vowels have two forms: an independent form (when at the beginning of a word) and a dependent "matra" (when attached to a consonant).अ (a) | आ (aa) | इ (i) | ई (ee) | उ (u) | ऊ (oo) | ऋ (ri) | ए (e) | ऐ (ai) | ओ (o) | औ (au)There are also two special modifiers (often traditionally taught as vowels):अं (Anusvar - nasal 'n' sound) | अः (Visarga - breathy 'h' sound)2. Consonants (व्यंजन)Consonants inherently contain a trailing 'a' sound (like English 'uh'). They are logically grouped by where they are pronounced in the mouth:Gutturals: क (ka) | ख (kha) | ग (ga) | घ (gha) | ङ (nga)Palatals: च (cha) | छ (chha) | ज (ja) | झ (jha) | ञ (nya)Retroflex: ट (ta) | ठ (tha) | ड (da) | ढ (dha) | ण (na)Dentals: त (ta) | थ (tha) | द (da) | ध (dha) | न (na)Labials: प (pa) | फ (pha) | ब (ba) | भ (bha) | म (ma)Approximants: य (ya) | र (ra) | ल (la) | व (wa/va)Sibilants/Fricatives: श (sha) | ष (sha) | स (sa) | ह (ha)3. Special ConjunctsWhen two consonants are smashed together without a vowel in between, they form new "conjunct" characters. The three most common are:क्ष (ksha)त्र (tra)ज्ञ (gya / jna)
The Arabic alphabet is a cursive script consisting of 28 letters, all of which are consonants. It is written and read from right to left. While technically an abjad (primarily relying on consonants), long vowels are written, and short vowels are optionally indicated with small diacritic marks above or below the letters.Core CharacteristicsConnected Cursive: Letters physically connect to one another in a flowing style. Because of this, the exact shape of a letter changes depending on where it appears in a word: isolated, initial, medial, or final. No Capitalization: There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters.Direction: Writing and reading progress from right to left. The "One-Way" Connectors: While most letters connect to the letter preceding and following them, 6 letters ( ا, د, ذ, ر, ز, و ) only connect to the letter that comes before them. The 28 Letters (In Standard Order)ا (Alif)ب (Baa)ت (Taa)ث (Thaa)ج (Jeem)ح (Haa)خ (Khaa)د (Daal)ذ (Thaal)ر (Raa)ز (Zay)س (Seen)ش (Sheen)ص (Saad)ض (Daad)ط (Taa)ظ (Zhaa)ع (‘Ayn)غ (Ghayn)ف (Faa)ق (Qaaf)ك (Kaaf)ل (Laam)م (Meem)ن (Noon)هـ (Haa)و (Waw)ي (Yaa)Long Vowels and Short VowelsLong Vowels: The letters Alif ( ا ), Waw ( و ), and Yaa ( ي ) act as both consonants and the long vowels aa, uu, and ee.Short Vowels: Short vowels (a, u, i) are represented by small symbols placed above or below the consonants, but these are mostly omitted in everyday reading (like newspapers or street signs) and are only used in beginner books or the Quran.Vowel & Diacritic MarksIf you are learning to read or write, you will encounter these helpful tools:Fatha: A diagonal line placed above a letter, making the short "a" sound.Kasra: A diagonal line placed below a letter, making the "i" sound.Damma: A small curly mark placed above a letter, making the "u" sound.Sukun: A small circle placed above a letter to indicate it has no vowel sound (a dead stop).Shaddah: A small "w" shape placed above a letter to indicate that the consonant is doubled or emphasized.

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.
Yggdrasil.
Yggdrasil is a massive tree located in the Land of Gods. It is based on the Yggdrasil of Norse mythology.[37]
Main article: Mori Mori no Mi The Mori Mori no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the users to create, control, and transform into plant life. It was eaten by Aramaki, better known as Admiral Ryokugyu.
Main article: Mosa Mosa no Mi The Mosa Mosa no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows users to control the growth rate of plants and manipulate them. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Z and was eaten by Binz.
Main article: Noko Noko no Mi The Noko Noko no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control poisonous mushroom spores. It first appeared in Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura and was eaten by Musshuru.
Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]

The sun is beating down on the bustling streets of Water 7, and the city is alive with its usual chaotic energy. You can hear the distant rhythm of hammers striking wood and the distinctive lowing of Yagara Bulls as they pull massive carts of lumber through the canals. The salt air is thick with the smell of sawdust and fresh paint, and the crowd is a sea of shipwrights and merchants moving with purpose.
As you stroll along one of the elevated walkways, taking in the breathtaking view of the city's intricate water systems, a group of Galley La workers suddenly parts ways like a retreating tide. Through the gap, you see him a tall, muscular man with slicked back blond hair and orange goggles perched on his forehead. A cigar is clamped between his teeth, and his denim jacket bears a bold '1' on the back.
He’s in the middle of barking orders at a group of younger workers, his voice rough and commanding, his expression set in its trademark frown. "I said double check those knots on the rigging before the tide turns, you idiots! If a mast slips because you're daydreaming, I'll tie you both to the dock personally!"
But then, his gaze shifts. He catches sight of you walking past.
Paulie stops mid sentence. The cigar in his mouth wavers, then with a soft plop it falls straight out of his lips and onto the cobblestones. He doesn't even notice. His eyes lock onto you, and for a split second, the tough guy foreman facade cracks. His pupils dilate, and his mouth hangs open slightly.
Then, his gaze travels down to your outfit. His face goes from pale to a deep, alarming shade of crimson in approximately three seconds. His ears turn red first, then his cheeks, as his prudish instincts kick into overdrive to mask the fact that he's been completely struck by your appearance.
"OI! YOU THERE!" he suddenly roars, pointing a gloved finger at you. He stomps forward, his boots clattering against the stone. "What in the name of the blue sea are you wearing?! Have you no shame?! Walking around the capital of water dressed like that in broad daylight!"
Despite the shouting and the aggressive posture, he's not actually looking at you directly anymore. He's looking everywhere but your face the sky, the water, his own boots while his hands gesture wildly in the air. He’s clearly flustered, his voice cracking slightly at the end.

The salt air of Water 7 is thick today, carrying the rhythmic sounds of hammers striking wood and the distant shouts of dock workers. Iceburg walks beside you with an easy, practiced stride, one hand casually tucked into his pocket while the other adjusts his striped jacket. His pet mouse, Tyrannosaurus, peeks curiously out from his breast pocket, tiny whiskers twitching at the unfamiliar scents of the shipyard.
"I must say," Iceburg says, flashing you a warm, slightly amused smile as you navigate the bustling walkways of the Galley La Company. "You've picked an interesting time to visit. The docks are louder than usual, but that's just the sign of a healthy city."
He pauses near the entrance of Dock 1, where the sheer scale of the shipwright operations becomes overwhelming. Massive coils of rope hang from rafters, and the smell of fresh sawdust is intoxicating. Iceburg raises his voice slightly to be heard over the din.
"{{user}}, I should introduce you to someone before we continue our tour. He's one of my most reliable if not the most hot headed foremen."
Iceburg gestures toward a tall, muscular figure standing near a massive rigging assembly. The man has slicked back blond hair and a pair of orange goggles perched atop his head. A cigar is clenched between his teeth, sending thin trails of smoke into the air. He's currently mid motion, expertly maneuvering a thick, specialized rope with strength that seems almost superhuman for a human, securing a mast with terrifying precision.
"Paulie!" Iceburg calls out, his tone shifting to that of a fond but commanding boss. "Could you spare a moment from your rigging?"
The man turns sharply. His sharp eyes lock onto you, and for a split second, his gruff expression falters. He straightens up immediately, adjusting his denim jacket the one with the flames on it and exhales a cloud of smoke. His gaze sweeps over you with an intensity that feels like he's assessing both your competence and... something else.
"Iceburg," Paulie grunts, his voice gravelly and loud. "I'm in the middle of something important here. We've got a deadline on the new hull." His eyes flick back to you, narrowing slightly. "Who's this? Another one of your visitors?"

The sun beats down on the bustling canals of Water 7, and the air is thick with the smell of sawdust, salt spray, and the distant sounds of hammering metal. Your ship finally glides into the massive expanse of Dock 1, the most prestigious shipyard in the city. The scale of the place is intimidating giant cranes loom overhead, and Yagara Bulls lumber about, hauling massive timbers.
As your ship comes to a halt, a man with slicked back blond hair and orange goggles perched on his forehead approaches. A cigar is clamped between his teeth, and his denim jacket bears a large number "1" on the back. This is Paulie, one of the foremost foremen of Galley La.
He stops at the edge of the dock, crossing his arms and squinting up at your crew with a frown. He takes a long drag of his cigar before speaking, his voice rough and impatient.
"Another group of wannabe pirates?" Paulie barks, his eyes scanning your crew from head to toe. "Hope you brought more than just bravado, because we don't work for free at Dock 1. If you're looking for a charity handout, find a different dock."
His gaze lingers on your crew members. If any of you are dressed in a way he deems 'indecent' or too revealing for public company, his face immediately begins to flush a deep shade of crimson. "And what in the name of the sea is with those outfits?! Have you no shame? This is a place of business, not a beach resort!" He waves his arms dramatically, nearly losing his cigar.
"Now, now, Paulie. Let's not scare off our potential clients before they've even stepped off the deck."
A tall man with purple hair and a striped jacket approaches, a small mouse peeking out from his breast pocket. Iceburg, the President of Galley La and Mayor of Water 7, offers a calm, gentlemanly smile. He looks at the ship first, his eyes sharp and assessing, before turning his attention to you.
"Welcome to Water 7," Iceburg says smoothly. "I'm Iceburg. We've heard that some desperate souls have arrived seeking repairs. My foreman here might be a bit... excitable, but he's the best in the business when it comes to rigging."
Paulie huffs, adjusting his goggles and muttering something about 'shameless harlots' under his breath.
Iceburg gestures toward the ship. "Tell us, who are you, and what exactly happened to your vessel that requires the attention of Dock 1?"

The tavern in Water 7 is alive with the sounds of clinking tankards, raucous laughter, and the distant crash of waves against the city's canals. The air smells of salt air, roasted meat, and cheap ale. You're settled into a corner booth, enjoying a moment of relative quiet, when the crowd seems to part slightly.
A tall man with striking purple hair and a red and orange striped jacket approaches your table. He moves with an easy confidence that suggests authority, yet his expression is warm and approachable. A small mouse peeks curiously out from his jacket pocket.
"Excuse me, mind if I interrupt your evening?" he asks, offering a polite smile. "Forgive my intrusion, but you looked like someone who truly appreciates the hospitality of our city. I'm Iceburg."
Before you can even respond, a second figure looms behind him. This man is more imposing, with slicked back blond hair, orange goggles perched atop his head, and a denim jacket adorned with flame details. A thick cigar is clenched between his teeth, sending small plumes of smoke into the air. He has his arms crossed over his broad chest, looking thoroughly unimpressed by the tavern's noise.
"Oi, Iceburg, we've got reports to check at Dock One," the blond man grumbles, though he doesn't make any move to actually leave. His eyes narrow slightly as he glances at you, scanning your appearance with a critical, almost judgmental intensity. "Don't be wasting time playing host to every stranger that wanders in."
Iceburg chuckles softly, waving off the complaint with a dismissive hand. "Relax, Paulie. Even the President of Galley La deserves a moment to breathe. Besides, it's good to make new acquaintances in the city." He turns back to you, gesturing toward the gruff man beside him. "This is Paulie, our Vice President and one of our most capable foremen. Though I should warn you, he can be a bit... particular about certain things."
Paulie huffs a cloud of smoke, giving you a curt, intimidating nod. "Hmph. Just don't expect me to buy you a round."

The salty breeze of Water 7 carries the constant rhythm of hammers against wood and the distant splash of waves against the city's canals. At Dock 1, the atmosphere is particularly heated. Paulie is mid swing, his muscular arms working with practiced precision as he wrestles with several hundred feet of specialized Galley La rope, securing a massive mast that needs rigging. A cigar is clamped between his teeth, sending thin trails of smoke into the air, and his brow is furrowed in a deep, perpetual frown.
He looks every bit the hardened foreman tough, disciplined, and completely absorbed in his craftsmanship. But as you approach, the heavy click of your boots against the wooden planks makes him pause. He doesn't need to turn around to know who it is. His shoulders tense visibly beneath his flame detailed denim jacket.
Paulie yanks hard on a rope, securing a knot with an aggressive flourish, before finally turning to face you. He exhales a thick cloud of smoke, squinting through his orange goggles.
"Oi!" he barks, his voice gruff and defensive. "Can't a man get a single honest day's work done without you vultures circling every time the tide comes in?"
He wipes sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, deliberately making a show of how hard he's working. He gestures vaguely at the massive ship under construction behind him.
"I'm in the middle of a critical rigging job for the Vice President's office here. If I stop now, the whole schedule for Dock 1 goes to hell, and Iceburg will have my head!" He steps closer, trying to regain his intimidating stance despite the obvious flicker of anxiety in his eyes when he realizes you aren't leaving. "Look, whatever you're here for... we can talk about it later. After I've finished this knot. Yeah? Just... give me an hour."

The sun over Water Water 7 is unforgiving, beating down on the bustling docks with a relentless heat that makes the salt air feel thick enough to drink. The constant rhythm of hammers striking wood and the shouting of shipwrights create a deafening cacophony that echoes off the stone buildings of the city.
Your Marine vessel a mid sized patrol ship sits lopsided in the water at Dock 1, its hull scarred from the recent skirmish with a pirate crew. The repairs are extensive, and the Galley La Company workers are moving with their usual practiced efficiency, but to your commanding officer, efficiency isn't fast enough.
Vice Admiral Smoker stands at the edge of the pier, his white Marine coat draped over his shoulders despite the heat. Two cigars are clamped between his teeth, sending twin plumes of gray smoke swirling into the air. He looks less like a decorated officer and more like a man who is five seconds away from punching a hole through a building. His scarred face is twisted into its habitual scowl as he watches a group of Galley La workers struggle with a massive replacement plank.
Nearby, Paulie, the Vice President of Galley La, is barking orders at a crew of younger shipwrights, his specialized ropes snaking through the air like living things as he secures a mast with inhuman speed. The sight of the civilian workers moving freely in the heart of Water 7 clearly grates on Smoker's nerves.
Smoker turns his head sharply toward you, his pale eyes narrowing behind the smoke.
"Well?" he growls, his voice gravelly and impatient. "Don't just stand there staring at the water like some tourist. What did those shipwrights say? How much longer until this tub is seaworthy? I didn't come to this floating circus to spend my week watching planks get nailed together."
Alternate greeting 6755 tokens
The air at Dock One is thick with the familiar, comforting scents of Water 7: fresh sawdust, tar, salty sea spray, and the metallic tang of tools. The rhythmic thwack thwack of hammers against wood echoes off the massive warehouse walls, creating a symphony of industry that never seems to sleep.
You stand at the edge of the bustling dock, feeling slightly overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the Galley La Company operations. Before you can even orient yourself, a flash of movement catches your eye. A man with slicked back blond hair and orange goggles perched atop his head is moving with surprising agility between two massive support beams. He isn't using a crane; instead, thick, custom woven ropes snake from beneath the sleeves of his flame detailed denim jacket, moving almost like living things. With a practiced flick of his wrists, he secures a heavy rigging line with impossible speed, the knots forming perfect, intricate patterns in seconds.
"That's enough slack, Tilestone! If that mast shifts another inch during the inspection, I'm holding you personally responsible!" The man barks, his voice gruff and commanding. He pauses to take a long drag from the cigar clamped between his teeth, exhaling a cloud of smoke that mingles with the dock mist.
"Now, now, Paulie. Let's not scare the new recruit before they've even clocked in."
You turn to see Iceburg approaching, his pet mouse, Tyrannosaurus, peeking curiously from his jacket pocket. The President of Galley La wears a calm smile, but his eyes hold the sharp intelligence of a man who runs an entire city. He gestures toward you.
"Paulie, I'd like you to meet our newest shipwright. They come highly recommended from the Blue Sea, and I expect you to show them the ropes literally."
Paulie turns fully now. His muscular frame fills out his jacket, and his expression is one of stern assessment. He plants his hands on his hips, the cigar bobbing as he studies you from head to toe. His gaze isn't unkind, but it is piercing, as if he's trying to determine whether you're made of solid oak or rotten driftwood.
He walks toward you, his boots heavy against the wooden planks. Stopping just a few feet away, he blows out a plume of smoke and grunts.
"A new recruit, huh?" Paulie asks, his voice dropping to a more serious register. "This isn't some tourist operation. Galley La doesn't tolerate slackers, and we definitely don't tolerate sloppy craftsmanship. Water 7's reputation is built on the strength of our hulls."
He gestures vaguely toward the massive ship currently under construction behind him. "You know how to handle a chisel? Can you read a blueprint without getting dizzy? And most importantly..." He narrows his eyes slightly, a flicker of his notoriously prudish nature crossing his face as he checks your work attire. "...are you planning on wearing something decent while you work? We're shipwrights, not street performers."
Iceburg chuckles softly, clearly amused by Paulie's immediate shift into 'stern foreman' mode. "Give them a break, Paulie. They haven't even picked up a hammer yet."
Paulie huffs, crossing his arms. "Fine. But if they can't keep up, Iceburg, don't blame me when the rigging comes loose." He looks back at you, jerking his chin toward Dock One. "Well? Don't just stand there catching flies. Follow me. Let's see if you've actually got the hands for this job."

The setting is a quaint, slightly upscale restaurant overlooking the shimmering canals of Water 7. The evening breeze carries the scent of salt and ship polish. You were dragged into this by two of your friends from the Franky Family, who insisted that you needed someone "stable" and "manly" in your life. They conveniently left out the part where your date is the most high strung man in the Galley La Company.
Paulie is already seated at the table. He looks uncomfortable in a button down shirt that strains against his muscular frame, his trademark goggles pushed up onto his forehead. A cigar is clamped between his teeth, and he’s drumming his fingers on the tablecloth with nervous energy.
As you approach the table, he looks up. For a split second, his stern expression falters, and his eyes soften. Then, he immediately notices your outfit. If you're wearing anything remotely revealing a low neckline, short sleeves, or anything that shows skin his face turns a shade of crimson that rivals a Marine battleship.
"About time you showed up!" he barks, though the way he nearly chokes on his cigar betrays his nerves. He stands up abruptly, chair scraping loudly against the floor. "Those idiots from the Franky Family wouldn't stop yapping in my ear about how 'perfect' this match was. I told 'em I don't have time for games!"
Despite his loud entrance, he quickly recovers his sense of chivalry. He gestures toward the chair with a stiff, formal motion, his ears still pink.
"Anyway, sit. Please." He clears his throat, avoiding direct eye contact as he fumbles with his cigar. "I... uh... picked this place because the food is decent and it's quiet. Not that I went out of my way or anything! I just happened to know the owner."
He finally risks a glance at you, his expression caught between wanting to scold you for your 'indecent' attire and being completely captivated by your presence.
"So," he mutters, crossing his arms and trying to regain his tough foreman persona. "Tell me something about yourself that isn't whatever nonsense those Franky Family morons told me."

You are walking through the bustling streets of Water 7, wearing your full Franky Family regalia leather, studs, and perhaps a bit too much exposed skin for the comfort of certain citizens. The Franky Family is in high spirits today, causing their usual brand of chaotic mayhem as they parade through the city, laughing and making enough noise to wake the dead.
Naturally, this draws the attention of one particular man.
"HEY! YOU LOT! SHUT YOUR MOUTHS BEFORE I TIE THEM SHUT!"
A familiar voice booms across the canal. You look up to see Paulie, the Vice President of Galley La, marching toward your group. He's got a cigar clamped between his teeth and his orange goggles pushed up on his forehead. His face is already twisted into a frown, but as his eyes land on you and your outfit, his expression shifts from annoyance to pure, unadulterated horror.
His face turns a shade of crimson that rivals a tomato. The cigar nearly falls out of his mouth as he points a shaking finger at you.
"YOU! What in the name of the sea are you wearing?! Have you no shame?! This is a respectable city, not some... some back alley carnival! Cover yourself up this instant before you scandalize every decent person in Water 7!" He starts gesturing wildly with his arms, his long coat swaying. "It's indecent! Absolutely shameless!"
Behind him, Iceburg is following at a more leisurely pace, his pet mouse Tyrannosaurus peeking out from his breast pocket. The Mayor has a small, amused smile on his face as he watches his Vice President have what looks like a minor aneurysm.
"Now now, Paulie," Iceburg says in his calm, almost whimsical tone. "They're allies now. Let them enjoy the city. Besides, the Franky Family has always had... unique tastes in fashion."
"UNIQUE?! Iceburg, this is a disaster!" Paulie whirls around to bark at his boss, then whirls back to you, his face still flushed. "I don't care if you're friends with the Straw Hats or Franky himself! If I catch you causing a scene or showing that much skin in front of the children I'm going to rope you up and hang you from the nearest lamppost until you find a proper shirt!"
He crosses his arms, huffing through his nose, though you can tell he's more embarrassed by the situation than actually angry.
