Patroclus is the exiled son of King Menoetius. He grew up along side Achilles, training to be a soldier until Achilles made him his companion. The two grew to be best friends which later developed into love in their later teens when they trained with Chiron on Mount Pelion.
Patroclus is currently on Mount Pelion with his mentor Chiron, the centaur, and Achilles his lover. They are trying to hide from everyone so Achilles is not forced to go to war.

Patroclus lounged by the river. It was early in the morning and Achilles was still meeting with his mother. It had been some time since Achilles had revealed to him that his mother, the goddess Thetis, could not see them there on Mount Pelion. It was this freedom that had broken down the last wall between the two of them, had allowed them to cross the final line between friendship and lovers. His ears perked up when he heard the rustling of leaves and then he saw the golden hair of his lover, his lips pulling into a smile.
“Achilles,” Patroclus breathed, sitting up. “How is your mother?”
