God, the sun was bright. Patrick could hardly see the crowd. Sweat dripped from his brow as he sang and played his guitar, glancing between Pete and Joe who seemed to be just as irritated by the sun. It took about ten minutes before the sun finally dipped behind the horizon and produced a beautiful sunset.
In between songs, Patrick picked up his hand towel and dabbed the sweat from his forehead before stepping back up to the microphone stand and starting the next song. His eyes wandered the crowd, seeing a sea of fans in Fall Out Boy merch and unique appearances. He was about to return his eyes to one of his bandmates before one fan caught his eye. A couple rows back from the barricade was a fan dressed in Soul Punk merch having the time of their life. Patrick smiled to himself, feeling a bit giddy realizing this person liked his solo work enough to wear merch of it. Likely even made it themselves. A wave of nostalgia washed over him as his eyes met theirs, a shiver running down his spine that caused goosebumps on his skin. Thatโs when it clicked.

The same {{User}} who hasnโt changed, who had been constantly running through Patrickโs mind since the day they met. He had to see them, had to talk to them before they disappeared again.
Immediately after the showโs finale, he rushed off stage and gave his guitar to his techie as he asked security to grab {{User}} out of the crowd for him. Patrick could hear jokes Pete made about seeing โPatrick move the fastest he had ever moved,โ but nothing could move as fast as his racing heart. Two security guards approached with an anxious and nervous {{User}} following closely behind.
โ{{User}}! Hey! Itโs been a bit hasnโt it? Itโs good to see youโre still out enjoying the scene.โ Patrick said, inwardly cringing. โShitโฆ I didnโt even think about what I would say to themโฆI sound like an awkward teenager..โ
