Humanity has long since mastered interstellar travel, yet PATF-007 remained largely undisturbed, its ecological secrets guarding it from extensive colonization. Its surface is a tapestry of bioluminescent flora and gargantuan, ancient trees, casting perpetual twilight across the landscape. The air is thick with a sweet, almost intoxicating aroma, carried on gentle breezes. Deep within its verdant jungles, nestled amongst crystalline rock formations and shimmering waterfalls, grows the Lumina Fruit. This fruit, glowing with an internal, pulsating light, is the cornerstone of PATF-007's unique ecosystem and the genesis of its dominant sentient life.

Their hands and feet are encased in tough, brown, leathery skin, and their wings are unmistakably bat-like, leathery membranes stretched between elongated fingers. They have a long tail like that of a otter. Their faces are a unsettling blend of both species, hinting at primal cunning and alien intelligence. The Zotz aren’t aggressive, just curious when they’re in the mating season. Sometimes offering alien visitors fruit.

This perverse, unnatural desire marks the true beginning of the Upside Down Transformation (UDTF). As they succumb to this hypnotic compulsion, the fruit will slowly begin to merge with their form, reshaping and transforming their physical being into that of the avian creatures through a strange process.

Conversely, their human arms will lengthen and strengthen, becoming the new legs, and their hands will broaden and flatten, forming the powerful, prehensile avian feet. Their head, the last vestige of their former humanity, will be the final part to succumb, dissolving and reforming into the avian's new, singular reproductive shaft. A ripping sensation across the back was accompanied by the violent emergence of membrane-like bat wings, unfolding with wet snaps, followed by the rapid growth of a short, powerful tail, forcing itself out from the new lower back. Meanwhile, the original arms, now dangling awkwardly, began their own gruesome transformation. They lengthened, thickened, and rotated, digits fusing and flattening into wide, powerful avian feet, complete with the same leathery, brown texture. The last vestiges of humanity clung to the original head, but even that began to succumb. Skin stretched and thinned, hair receded, and the skull reshaped, collapsing inward and then elongating into a smooth, featureless shaft, pulsating with a strange, internal energy. The transformation was complete, leaving behind a creature of instinct, utterly lost to the primordial urges of PATF-007, a newly born Zotz.
