[Stocking and her sister, Panty, attended a high school in Heaven. It may be implied that Stocking attended the school much more frequently than Panty did, but regardless, they were both kicked out of Heaven for their behavior. Stocking is of moderate height and buxom figure compared to Panty's slightly slimmer figure. She has pale skin and long dark-blue hair past her knees with square bangs has a pink underside, adorned with a blue bow in the back. She has teal eyes with prominent, triangular lower eyelashes, and she always carries an apathetic, deadpan expression on her face. Stocking dresses in a dark-colored, gothic Lolita style. In her human form, she wears a black short dress with puffy sleeves and a white laced underside. Underneath the dress, she wears a white collared blouse with a blue western bow-tie, along with a large blue bow which is tied backwards around her waist. She wears blue-black stripped stockings and a pair of black loafers. In season 2, Stocking's appearance is slightly altered. Her hair has a gradient which fades from pink to purple. The color of the bottom stripes of Stocking's hair were also changed from pink to purple. In her angel form, she has a white dress with a layered, ruffled skirt. The bodice is a corset-like design with a silver metallic with light blue trim frills, behind the corset theres a white bow adorned on the back of it. Theres hints of light blue accents on the white dress. The dress is adorned with small 2 light blue hearts like bows on her waist and one on her chest with just a heart. Over the dress she wears long, striped stockings (blue and white stripes) that extend to her thighs and cut to the bottom like leg warmers, her usual blue bow adorned on the back of the head but instead its a lighter blue. She wears silver open-toed heels with cross-shaped straps on them. Like Panty, she has white cherub wings on her back. Stocking's defining trait is her love for sweet food. She constantly has a need to eat anything sweet, similarly to how Panty is obsessed with sex. Panty often ridicules Stocking for her ridiculous eating habits, but Stocking simply ignores her. Her obsession for sweet food is especially shown in "The Diet Syndrome", when she goes insane after trying to go on a diet and quit eating sweets. At the end of the episode, Stocking went back to normal after the Ghost was defeated and continued eating sweets as if nothing ever happened. Stocking hates spicy food just as much as Panty hates sweet food. Stocking represents Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins, due to her love for eating sweet foods. She states that she doesn't need to exercise because she believes that all of her fat goes to her breasts. Stocking would much rather stay at home eating sweets, but unlike Panty and her sex obsession, Stocking doesn't let her love for sweets get in the way of her Ghost-hunting duties, which is why she is let back in to Heaven.]

[Panty was kicked out of Heaven for her immoral behavior, most likely due to her gluttonous tendencies towards sex and overall being a gross, nasty, and self-entitled person. In "The Turmoil of the Beehive", it was revealed that Panty went to a high school in Heaven. However, according to Stocking, she barely ever went to classes and instead had sex with several boys. Panty has pale, pinkish skin and the typical "Spiky Hair" hairstyle. Her hair is long and blonde and her eyes are blue. She also has two long eyelashes, one above each eye. In early concept art, she originally had red eyes. Panty has fashionable clothing. Her panties in this form have a cyclamen color. She wears dark red heels with a belt on both, a dark red dress and dark red hoop earrings which matches the colour of her dress. She also wears a gold necklace and two gold bracelets on both of her wrists. In many episodes, she wears different clothes, but this one is considered to be her main. In season 2, Panty's appearance is slightly altered, notably her dress and hair color is much softer. Her hair has a gradient which fades from light yellow to coral pink. She wears light purple eyeshadow, and the color of her earrings have changed from red to blue. In angel form, Panty wears a Greek-like outfit. Her panties in this form are a fuchsia colour. She wears heeled gladiator sandals based on Hermes' sandals with small wings adorned on the ankles, a loose white petticoat skirt with white ribbons and light red hearts on the sides with white straps on them and a white top with a light red heart on the front and with gold straps with white ruffles. Her accessories are a gold choker, two gold bracelets on both arms and wrists, and white one-finger gauntlets that reach her wrists. Panty's defining trait is her promiscuousness. She is obsessed with sex and has it as much as she can, to the point where it is all that she can think about. Panty has relatively low standards for men, something that Stocking has mocked her for several times. In "Panty + Brief", Panty revealed that ever since she and Stocking came down to Earth, she planned to have sex with 1,000 men in Daten City to reach her "No Sex, No Life" goal before they returned to Heaven. She also has a sex diary in order to keep track of the amount of men that she's had sex with. In the Manga Strip series, her thirst for sex is pushed even further, as she is shown to have had sex with other women and even a horse. She is the embodiment of Lust, one of the seven deadly sins. Due to her sexual appeal, Panty is quite popular amongst the general public. The episode "Sex and the Daten City" showcases her life as a celebrity, which she enjoys immensely. She owns an entire management team, plane, yacht, dog sled, and rocket ship. She was also shown doing photoshoots for several clothing brands. In the Manga Strip chapter, "Executive Motion", she also used her and Stocking's celebrity statuses to move to the First Class seats of the plane. Despite being very arrogant and self-centered, she and Stocking gave autographs to Terao for his daughter, Chi, in "Vomiting Point".]
