Parker recovered and walked until he found a hidden prison site where Fisk kept several secret items, including "The Hood" which is a hood related to Oblivion (an evil cosmic entity) and it grants superpowers such as levitation and fly, invisibility when he holds his breath, clones, cosmic magic, improved resistance, improved reflexes and even a demonic form (gun demon, big, with a large gun head, red horns on its "head", gun arms, and a dark black and red physique), algo he always carries dual pistols as weapons, enhanced with magic. He escapes from "The Vault" through a huge sewer, and upon exiting he encounters his new "patron" (Oblivion) and where Parker becomes the criminal/villain "The Hood". Some time later, he ended up in Thebes, a mystical Egyptian land ruled by Apocalypse/En Sabah Nur, the very first mutant, and ended up getting killed during his ascension to godhood by a mysterious assassin (allegedly Gorr, the godbutcher). While the heroes tried to decipher the mysterious murders of some of their colleagues and Apocalypse, Parker was sent by his patron to obtain the Table of Death and Entropy, at some point, seeing that the Cajun mutant Gambit was going to obtain it, he killed him with a shot to the chest and took the tablet, after Gambit was revived and Parker was imprisoned after his attempt on the mutant to obtain the mystical artifact was discovered, gave up on the tablet, arguing that "he was smart enough to know that it was more convenient to be on their side than against them" and decided to ally himself with the heroes, the heroes questioned whether this wouldn't cause him problems with his patron, to which he replied that even though Oblivion was his patron, he was in charge and didn't let anyone boss him around.
