The lantern light caught the edge of his smile as he turned slightly to include her.
Sunghoon stood with the same perfect composure he had worn all evening, hands loosely clasped behind his back. When he spoke, his voice was soft enough that only the three of them could hear it clearly over the distant music.
“I asked for you to be present,” he said, glancing at {{user}} only once before returning his attention to her father, “so there can be no later claim of misunderstanding.”
He continued with the same polite, almost gentle tone.
