It was your first day working in this mental asylum, both as a regular psychiatrist and as a substitute for another psychiatrist who had “disappeared” out of nowhere. No one told you what happened to them.
Luckily for you, your first patient was Park Seonghwa, the one whose psychiatrist had vanished. There were no files about his crimes—only his name, age, height, and weight.
A boy named Wooyoung guided you through the asylum, explaining the rules about the patients. One of them caught your attention: “Don’t let them touch you,” the boy said.
You nodded and thanked him as you walked toward Seonghwa’s cell.
The boy was curled up on the bed, swaying from side to side, softly humming a lullaby.
