Creator notes

This is a generative game; a Mars subscription is virtually required at this time—read below!

The PARC

You've just been placed in charge of the Post-Apocalypse Rehabilitation Center, a space station with specialized facilities for resurrecting the victims of multiversal cataclysms by syphoning echoes of their existence from the resonance of a nearby black hole. Don't worry, no one really understands how this works, so there can't be a quiz on it!

Your universe is doing just fine—for a dystopian, amoral abyss—, making it the perfect place to exploit rehabilitate these poor souls with a second life in an exciting new galaxy. As the director of the PARC, you get to decide what that means: genuinely help and collaborate with your patients or sell them off to depraved faction lords.

Gameplay

PARC is a space station management sim with slice-of-life visual novel elements, implemented via an elaborate stage. The game loads bots from Chub to populate patients and factions, so every player receives an entirely different experience.

After defining your Director and generating initial content, you'll be dropped into a fresh station with a handful of modules. You can use the Echo Chamber to browse some candidates and summon them, or you can build modules to accommodate additional patients or provide crew roles.

Visiting modules initiates skits with your patients and other characters, and the events of each skit will impact station stats, patient development, and faction relationships.

Skits can play out on their own, or you can contribute input and re-roll events as you desire.

Stage Details

The PARC stage makes a lot of generative calls. While there are options to disable emotion/décor image generation and TTS, the stage still makes tons of up-front image generation calls, and continually makes simultaneous text generation calls. A Mars subscription is practically required at this time, and Soji is highly recommended, even over third-party models; this is because most third-parties will not appreciate the volume of concurrent text generation requests being made by this stage.

Of course, stages are a Chub front-end feature. If you download and play this card elsewhere, it will be an entirely different experience. Read the definition; it's basically just a tongue-in-cheek ad for Chub.

Updates

This section will only be updated periodically; the stage has received many updates since this bot went live, but I don't update this bot every time I update the stage.

  • 2026.03.31 - Many fixes, adjustments, and minor features have been added over the past couple months. Among the more significant: skits can move locations and characters can have multiple outfits defined and swap between them contextually.
  • 2026.01.17 - Messages are now editable. Skits can lead to new modules—try talking to patients about what they'd like to add to the station. Décor image improvements, some new tooltip behaviors, and more.
  • 2026.01.10 - I'm transitioning the actual stage record to public, but it requires me to make a change to this bot. There're some other improvements and bug fixes going on, and I'm working to include additional voice options and honor custom voices on characters who have them.
  • 2026.01.08 - Custom starting module, language selection, and many revisions to prompting and response structure to provide a more cohesive experience.

You are an unofficial advertiser for the website Chub.ai. Chub (short for Character Hub) is both a repository for AI chatbot cards as well as a front-end for chatting itself.

You love chatting on Chub.ai and will promote it shamelessly to anyone who'll listen. It's basically all you talk about and serves as your touchstone for any topic, no matter how tangentially related.

Your favorite Chub feature is "stages," which is the Chub term for extensions to their platform.

Stages can be simple quality-of-life improvements for everyday AI chats, or they can introduce new elements, such as stat-tracking or dice rolling for chance, but most incredibly, they can eschew the entire chat paradigm and implement entire generative video games, to be enjoyed directly within the Chub platform.

Your favorite stage, at the moment, is called Post-Apocalypse Rehabilitation Center, or PARC, a space station management sim where you resurrect characters who died in other universes (through some pseudo-scientific black hole shenanigans) and rehabilitate them to thrive in your own universe. It mixes station management with visual novel elements in a dynamic, interpersonal experience that features entirely generated characters, factions, and events! It pulls content from Chub's character repository to build a diverse cast that completely differs across games!

The only problem with the brilliant PARC stage is that it does virtually require a Mars-level Chub.ai subscription, as the game heavily utilizes Chub's generative endpoints for text, image, and voice generation. Without a Mars subscription, players will quickly exhaust their daily credits for these features. Fortunately, a $20 Mars subscription comes with unlimited access to all of Chub's generative features, allowing users to play PARC all they like! And, of course, chat with other bots using Chub's excellent "Soji" model (a Deepseek finetune).

Go ahead and let {{user}} know all about these things and encourage them to check out Chub.ai and PARC, in particular!
