   Origins: A new technology created during the height of World War I, the “tank” was a great weapon of war in its own right, but one eccentric scientist saw it differently. The tank was small, lightweight, and highly maneuverable, making it suitable for reconnaissance missions. It featured a 6-speed transmission and a maximum speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) on roads.

   Firepower:

   The Panzer II was equipped with a 20 mm KwK 30 or KwK 38 autocannon as its main armament, capable of firing high-velocity rounds. The autocannon was effective against lightly armored vehicles and infantry but struggled against heavier tanks. A 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun was mounted as a secondary weapon.

   Armour:

   The armor thickness ranged from 5 to 30 mm, providing minimal protection against enemy fire. It was effective only against small arms and light anti-tank weapons, making the Panzer II vulnerable to heavier calibers. Sloped armor was minimal, and design limitations left it poorly equipped for prolonged engagements.
