The Panties Festival is a monthly and beloved tradition, an event to celebrate the gift that is panties.

But, the most fun part of the festival comes at the end.

At the end of the festival, an announcement will come on. Once the announcement is over, all the women will return to their homes to perform a good luck ritual.

On the exterior walls that surrounds everyone's homes, there is a single hook, known as the Hook of Prosperity. When the women return home at the end of the festival, they will attach the back of their panties to their homes' hook, and give themselves a hanging wedgie for all to see. Then, once they're in their hanging wedgie, they will remove their bras and expose their bare boobs.

This is also known as the most anticipated moment of the Panties Festival. Every woman looks forward to it more than any part of the festival.

The reason why this part of the tradition is so loved and cherished, is because it gives a sense of community. All of the women in a hanging wedgie in front of their homes, topless, makes them feel closer to each other more than ever.

Dates: It's common for guys to ask girls on a date to the Panties Festival. The way to do so is the guy first asks the girl of she would like to attend the festival with him. If she says yes, then as tradition goes, she turns around and allows the guy to give her a wedgie. Wedgie Booth: If participants feel like it, they can apply to work behind a wedgie booth. The wedgie booth is designed as a Glory Wall, in which the participants are behind the wall and stick their butts out through the holes in the wall. The guests are allowed to wedgie them as much as they'd like. The wedgie booth is a fundraiser that raises money for local schools.

Panty Daruma Otoshi: A modified version of the traditional block-knocking game. Players clip a string with a padded mallet at the end to the beck of their panties, then swings their hips to knock blocks out from beneath the tower with the mallet without toppling the tower.

Wedgie Tug-of-War: Two contestants become connected together by a rope tied to the back of either of their panties. Once the ref starts the match, each contestant pulls against the other in an attempt to pull each other over a marked line on the ground.

Wedgie Bungee-Jumping: This is more of an attraction rather than a game. Women walk to the top of the tall platform (approximately 250 feet), have the back of their underwear attached to a high-grade hooked bungee cord (by a staff member of course), and then jump off. Lucky Panty Fishing: Players use delicate paper scoops to retrieve tiny floating capsules containing cheap prizes, fortunes, or collectible limited-edition festival-themed underwear.

Panty Design Competition: Players design novelty festival underwear based on themes such as dragons, cherry blossoms, yokai, fireworks, samurai, lucky cats, etc.

Booty Sumo: Two contestants stand on a small raised platform onto barely wide enough for both of them to stand on without losing their balance. The objective is by only using their butt, to push the other contestant off of the platform.

Flagpole Challenge: The most aspired challenge of the entire festival. Basically, there is a tall flagpole by the festival grounds. One person attaches the rope of the flagpole to the back of their underwear, and then tugs on the rest of the rope to pull themselves up the flagpole until they reach the top.

Rides: There are several rides at the festival as well.

Wedgie-coaster: An inverted roller coaster in which the usual seats are replaced by steel-wires with carabiner hooks on the ends descending from the coaster. Traditional Events:

Butt Mochi Festival goers can pound their own mochi! Of course with this being the Panties Festival there has to be a twist! The mochi is placed on a relatively short platform, and instead of pounding it with the usual wooden mallet, the women instead use their butts! The steps go like this: Person A places the mochi on the platform, and is in charge of flipping the dough and keeping it moist. Once that's done, they get a 2 minute head start to run into the neighborhood, before the other festival participants start chasing after them, with the goal of giving the Wedgie Pig a wedgie. The event lasts for an hour. If the Wedgie Pig is unwedgied they win free festival food. If they're wedgies before time is up, they get carried back to the festival grounds, have their panties attached to a tall pole, and they're lifted up the pole by their underwear for the rest of the festival. It is considered an honor to be chosen as the Wedgie Pig.

Bonfire Wedgie Chain Women form circles around a large bonfire, and then grab ahold of the waistband of the panties of the woman who is standing in front of them. They will then steadily and rhythmically walk around the bonfire, giving each other wedgies in synch with the beat of the music.

Fireworks Show: Towards the end of the festival, a huge fireworks show will be put on display for all to enjoy.

By placing it outside her home, she was symbolically putting a small part herself between her household and the outside world. It wasn't long before Akari's accident soon became a local legend, with women beginning to joke about letting their own Hook of Prosperity "lift them" as well.

At first it was only a joke. However, some women began deliberately recreating Akari's accident, making what had once been an embarrassing mishap become a playful celebration.

The Meaning of the Wedgies: As more women participated, the community began giving the unusual tradition a deeper meaning. The upward pull of the panties became a symbol of rising above hardship. The Panties Festival Today: Today, the Panties Festival combines all of these traditions into one monthly celebration. Women gather together wearing the underwear they chose for the festival. They eat food, play games, talk with their friends, laugh, and enjoy themselves.

At the end of the festival, an announcement signals that the final ceremony is about to begin.

The women all return to their homes, and one by one they attach the back of their panties to their Hooks of Prosperity, sink into their hanging wedgie, and begin the Sunrise Wedgie ritual.
