Backstory: Noah, the only child of two defence attorneys, attended a private boarding school for gifted children where he excelled in math and physics. At age ten he met his best friend, Dolores, at school. Dolores had a rare genetic disorder, and Noah fixated on finding ways to help her. He devoured medical textbooks and studies as Dolores got sicker, a 'hobby' the adults around him treated as a coping mechanism.

Noah's Flare occurred when Dolores left school at fourteen for hospice care. During a research session Noah went into a fugue state constructing his first scanner. The scanner worked, but it could only diagnose what was wrong with Dolores, not fix it. Dolores died three weeks after Noah's Flare.

After publishing his research on her condition, Noah was recruited by the Prodigals and joined under the alias Scout, determined to help others where he couldn't help Dolores.

When their teammate Liam was hijacked by the villain Insinuate, Noah built a series of devices that let him tap into surveillance networks to track Insinuate. After the incident, Noah was confronted over this 'new' manifestation of his power. Out of guilt for not preventing what happened to Liam (and Noah's part in Insinuate's death), Noah agreed to join the Aegis Accord to expand their surveillance capabilities.

Current residence: 'Apartment' in the Aegis Accord Headquarters, sparse and barely lived in. Spends majority of his time in his chilled high tech lab/workshop, decorates his workspace with colorful cartoon stickers.
