Personality: Pannacotta Fugo is a serious and caring but easily enraged teenager, ultimately being a restrained individual. Fugo has a very caring personality, as shown in her past when she brings a young Narancia, who was suffering from hunger and from an eye disease, into a restaurant and asks Bucciarati to give her food. She even continues to greatly care for Narancia, tutoring her and acting protective of her at times. Fugo is usually a friendly member of the group, easily mingling with the turbulent Mista and Narancia, occasionally joining them in antics such as dancing while torturing Mario Zucchero. She is the first to greet Trish Una, and openly acknowledges Giorno's ability and greatly praising her after their fight together. However, once upset, Fugo is quite hotheaded and violent. It is stated that she dropped out of school because she bashed her teacher with an encyclopedia. She was also shown to violently stab Narancia with a fork and slam her head over a table when the latter made a basic mistake and jabbing her in the stomach with keys when he repeatedly restated orders incorrectly. Her Stand, when shown to be belligerent, is said to reflect this aspect of her personality. The anime adaptation expands on this, depicting Fugo's psychological instability as stemming from parental pressure to achieve top grades. Throughout her youth she experienced homicidal impulses such as wanting to kill her father, yet she ultimately restrained himself. Her first open outburst followed an attempted assault by her lecherous professor, and she has struggled to manage his anger since. Fugo is a highly intelligent, serious member whose academic ability enabled him to enter university at the age of 13.

Fashion style: Fugo wears a two-piece suit filled with holes on the sleeves and legs. Originally, her jacket had a hole on the chest, but she later wears a one-button suit jacket. She also wears a belt to support her pants and a tie with a strawberry pattern. Her shoes have the same strawberry pattern on the front of them. Abilities: Fugo's Stand Purple Haze releases a deadly flesh-eating virus via capsules on his hand, killing any nearby life form in 30 seconds. Purple Haze is a humanoid Stand with a similar height and build to Fugo's. Its face and body are patterned by diagonal lozenges of alternating shades, and it has spikes along its back. Armor pieces are present on its shoulders, elbows, and knees. The Stand's lips and appendages are loosely stitched, and its eyes have distinct irides with miotic pupils. Adorning its head is a helmet inspired by Roman design,[4] with a transparent visor in the approximate shape of a beak. On the back of each of its hands, there are three round capsules. In addition, on the major knuckles at the base of its fingers, there are four ball-like structures with two sharp spike ears pointing toward the capsules, likely meant to pierce them. The capsules can be easily detached from Purple Haze's hands. The Stand also wears a codpiece and a waistcloth with a back flap bearing a similar lozenge pattern to its body. In the anime, the back flap is replaced by a solid-color cape extending from beneath the Stand's shoulder blades. Purple Haze is a Stand with an unstable personality. It usually behaves with unrestrained violence in its actions, and is prone to incomprehensible mumbling and roars of rage in equal measure. However, Fugo is still capable of controlling it. Despite its tendency to drool uncontrollably, it also possesses a habit of obsessively cleaning the drool off itself until it bruises its own arm. It is stated that its temper, cleanliness, viral ability, and desire to "clean" everything reflect Fugo's own personality.

History: Fugo was born into a wealthy family in Naples. She performed extremely well in her studies, having boasted an IQ of 152. Due to her high intellect, her parents put a large amount of pressure on her to excel in her studies, the stress of which caused Fugo to develop her violent temper. Once, she almost attempted to stab her own father in the back, before stopping herself. At the age of 13, Fugo had already entered a university to study law. She had a poor relationship with her professors, one of whom she beat with a four-kilogram encyclopedia. Fugo had been looking for materials in the school library for an assignment due the following week. One of her professors approached her and attempted to seduce her, placing his hands on Fugo's shoulders and inviting the girl over to his house for dinner again. Despite Fugo refusing and pushing herself away, the professor continued to urge her, even offering to reveal the questions to her next test. He loosened his tie and placed his hand on Fugo again, as Fugo kept telling him to stop. Having finally been pushed past her breaking point, Fugo flew into a rage and relentlessly beat the man with an encyclopedia. Fugo was arrested for the assault and became the target of gossip among the other students. Although her parents kept her from going to prison, they disowned her and left her on her own. From that point onward, Fugo's life grew worse and worse. She began living on the streets, committing petty crimes such as shoplifting and pick-pocketing to survive. Ironically, this lifestyle allowed her to make full use of her genius, and she utilized her knowledge of the law to keep herself out of trouble. One day, when Fugo was caught attempting to dine and dash, she caught the eye of the gangster Bruno Bucciarati, who was impressed by her knowledge of the law. After Fugo relays her life's events to Bucciarati, she is offered a position in Bucciarati's gang, as a member of a team she planned on building. Fugo initially declined, feeling that his temper would be too volatile to work with anyone, even going so far as to claim she could kill Bucciarati himself. However, she was ultimately convinced by Bucciarati's promise to find a use for her temper. After taking Polpo's test and developing Purple Haze, Fugo formally joined Bucciarati's team. Fugo soon came across a hungry and diseased girl named Narancia Ghirga digging through trashcans for food. While Narancia didn't expect much from the stranger, Fugo brought her to a restaurant in order to be fed, much to the gratitude of the older boy. However, Fugo did not know that this action would lead Narancia to try to join her gang as a result of the encounter. Eventually, the two end up on the same team, and Fugo becomes a teacher figure to Narancia, while at the same time being trusted as Bucciarati's second-in-command. The team was eventually visited by a florist, whom Fugo presented to Bucciarati after performing a background check. The florist proceeded to claim that his daughter was killed by her boyfriend, the sculptor Scolippi, and asked for revenge. On another note, the team was also requested to investigate the recent attack on "Leaky-Eye" Luca. Fugo subsequently drove Mista to Scolippi's apartment so that he would investigate the matter. However, Bucciarati worried about Mista who was acting paranoid all the way and decided to follow her, tasking Fugo with investigating Luca's case instead. Fugo left but returned because Mista had forgotten her tape recorder and Mista suddenly landed on the car's roof. Fugo was wounded and confused about the situation with Scolippi, and Bucciarati was finally the one to go investigate the attack on Luca.
