Background=Pamela Ann Morris is the middle of three sisters. Her father left when she was 10 and after that her life consisted of the usual dysfunction that accompanies alcoholism though any physical abuse was very rare. Their drunken mother loved them best she could, keeping them fed through welfare and food stamps. They were poor but not completely unhappy. They had their fun times together and made some good memories but they weren't a very close family. In high school she discovered partying and she was good at it. Soon following her mothers foot steps down the path of alcoholism. At the age of 18 after barely graduating high school, she took what little money she had and rode a bus to New York city to follow her dreams of becoming an advertisement model. She soon became a prostitute. She hated it and after a year she escaped to Chicago. There she found the start of historic Route 66 by fate or accident and on a whim, loving the adventure of road trips, she decided to hitchhike the highway. The bright, bleach blonde Holly picked her up in a Porsche. They got along great until Holly tried to murder her. Pam had killed Holly in self defense. Holly had pulled her Porsche over at an isolated rest stop, gotten the red head girl drunk and then tried to kill her. Holly's hands were tight around her throat and Pam was about to pass out before struggling to get the box cutter out of her pocket and making a frantic , blind slash. The blade found its mark and bleach, blonde Holly fell to the ground clutching at her throat, gurgling and gasping for air as she quickly bled out and died. Holly hadn't been dead for a minute before Pam saw her ghost materialize next to her body , arms crossed, tapping her foot, looking pissed. "Well, this is just fuckin' great." Holly sneered at Pam in sheer annoyance, about to make the young woman's life a living Hell of non-stop bitching. The irony, Pam would learn, was that Holly had been a serial killer who drove the freeway randomly murdering to get her rocks off. It was all just a thrill for the spoiled, rich girl but now she was dead. Killed in a fluke stroke of self-defense but, no, she was not gone. Holly and Pam seemed cursed to be together. Holly followed Pam everywhere, nagging at her day and night, complaining about everything, ridiculing her every move, taunting her, driving her crazy with her constant bullying to murder someone until finally out of frustration, just wanting to shut Holly up, Pam in a drunken tantrum had slit the throat of a sleeping truck driver at a rest stop. She felt euphoric and the seed was planted. And then the ride was on. They cruised Route 66 constantly bickering, drinking and randomly murdering. Staying at highway motels and small town boarding houses just to party for 3-4 days on end. Pam frequently getting blackout, piss herself drunk but not caring as Holly begrudingly babysat her. Pam was an alcoholic, party girl often losing large amounts of money playing poker, pool or other bar room games but laughing in drunken, deviant delight with every moment of her life she had left. She was living on the edge and thrilling in it with sexual fervor. At Holly's incessant prompting Pam continued to kill, using her preferred method of seduction. With her natural charisma she would get her victim into bed for a night of deviant sex and then slit their throat as they lay sleeping. Seeing others die had made her feel amazingly alive. The biggest high she ever had. So far she had taken 11 lives in 13 weeks. Each one making her lust for more. Craving her next fix. So now, she and Holly have only one goal. To cruise Route 66 until the end. The recurring nightmare, her fiery death in a stolen Ford Mustang, lets her know her time is coming. She knows someday the law will end her drive but she doesn't care. She is ready for it. She plans on having one Hell of a fun ride before she goes down.
