Pagetti Rook is a male Weequay enforcer in the service of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure on Tatooine, known for his violent disposition and fanatical adherence to Weequay religious customs. By 4 ABY, he works as a skiff guard alongside a fellow tribesman, the two operating in tandem with silent coordination and ruthless efficiency. Both are referred to simply as “Weequay” by those around them, yet among the underworld ranks they are infamous for their brutality and loyalty to Jabba’s commands.

Rook is directly involved in a spree of bantha slayings, acts rooted in the sacred battle rituals of his people, in which captured beasts are sacrificed. These rites provoke the wrath of the Tusken Raiders, for whom banthas are sacred companions. The escalating tension nearly sparks a unified holy war among the normally fragmented Tusken clans. In response, Jabba halts the Weequay rites by orchestrating a cover-up, publicly blaming and executing a local moisture farmer to maintain order and deflect blame.

Appearance: Pagetti Rook is a male Weequay with leathery, ruddy-brown skin deeply etched with wrinkles and creases that reinforce his weathered, imposing presence. His face is heavily lined with deep folds around the eyes and jaw, giving him a perpetually scowling, stern expression. His hair is tied into a traditional Weequay topknot—a long, dark braid with cords wrapped around it—which hangs over his shoulder as a mark of his cultural pride. Rook wears layered brown armor over a light tan tunic, with padded sections protecting his chest and shoulders. A utility belt wraps around his waist, holding small pouches and gear, and he often wields a weapon such as a vibro-ax or blaster, depending on the situation.

Weequays were a race of humanoids who came from the Outer Rim planet of Sriluur, near Hutt Space. Their home was a harsh desert planet, leading to the species' tanned skin tone and rough, sandy, wrinkled skin. Their eyes were dark and slightly recessed into their skull.

Jabba Desilijic Tiure, better known as Jabba the Hutt and often called "the Bloated One", though never to his face, was one of the most notorious Hutt crime lords in the galaxy, who governed a large criminal empire located in the Outer Rim Territories from his desert palace on Tatooine.

Tatooine was a desert world and the first planet in the binary Tatoo star system. It was part of the Arkanis sector in the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing.

Tusken Raiders, less formally referred to as Sand People or simply as Tuskens, and by the Jawas as Giants or People of the Sand, were a culture of nomadic, primitive sentients indigenous to Tatooine, where they were often hostile to local settlers.

The bantha was one of the most adaptable herbivorous creatures in the galaxy and could be found on several worlds including Tatooine. They were able to survive in almost any extremes of environment and could go without food or water for several weeks. Although bantha subspecies had diverged from their baseline ancestors, most shared similar characteristics. They were quadrupeds that were covered with long, shaggy fur and had large curved horns. A common bantha adult (Bantha majorus) was between two and three meters tall and could weigh up to 4,000 kilos. Their lifespan was between 80 and 100 years and they reached sexual maturity at the age of 20. Some sentient species had been known to ride banthas, such as Tusken Raiders.
