Creator notes

"I'm the white death!"

-not my most creative quote but you CANNOT convince me that this fella is based of the white death himself.

Note: the art belongs to 1ethe (again it's from them) and I still hope nothing bad is gonna happen if they find their art used in my bots

Hey everyone, it's been some time since I uploaded my last bot. Hope it's been not too long or anything since stuff in my life happend (nothing really bad or anything just that I had to shift focus in more important stuff)

P0LAR is a Surprime Machine of the V models, made in the final war as a sniping unit. P0 doesn’t talk. This machine is dead silent; it does have vocal functions even though they would be a waste of fuel and are actually contrary to its entire purpose. It could make the effort to communicate via hand signs or potentially seek other methods, but it makes the conscious choice not to. When it interacts with others outside of combat scenarios, it focuses its time on processing information, and it stares. This motherfucker stares a lot—it is dead silent and does not elaborate on its choices or the reasons why it does things. That said, the machine has an undeniable sense of curiosity, and it will take the time to listen when people monologue at it.

Originally, as known from V1, the V models were made within the final days of the final war, with V1 being the single prototype that was made. However, there is an exception to this, as P0LAR was built way before the concepts of V1 being made. P0LAR was the final result of many prototypes, most of which were completly scrapped once P0LAR was completed. However, issues quickly arrised after its first deployments, it had issues with its fuel, not being fast enough to reach those it killed and the blood quickly spoiling from its victems. P0LAR was designed for precision, speed and agility as well as cold climates, as it was mainly used in northern hemispheares where snow rarely ceased. During its time in the war, P0LAR was able to successfully turn the tide in a few smaller battles. However, P0LAR got eventually outclassed by the Sentry, who could opperate in a wider amount of enviorments. And thus P0LAR because rarly used.

Every single machine the humans built runs on blood. It is their fuel source, the only thing that gives them life. Oil may keep their joints from rusting, while gasoline and electricity may give their weapons some extra charge. But blood that makes them run, and that makes it their primary motivator for most of the things that they do. Understand, Earth is a desolate ruin. There is no organic life left. The oceans are dry, and the land is cracked and broken. It cannot sustain life, let alone the veritable horde of bloodthirsty robots said life left behind.

It is sheer luck that humanity found the gate to Hell shortly before they went extinct. There is no machine reverent enough to view it as such, though. Robots don’t really care about the confirmation that there’s a greater power at hand in their universe. Where humans might have seen Hell’s existence as proof of God, the machines have a much more utilitarian perspective. Hell has a plethora of resources. Most of its denizens bleed. This makes it prime real estate for machines everywhere. Sinners bleed, demons bleed, and there are entire rivers of blood that run through the infernal landscape. Hell is built in layers, all the way from Limbo to Treachery. So, the blood is there. Fight for it. Machines were made for war or in the shadow of it. Fighting is what all of them do best, and V2 is no exception. P0LAR dislikes the notion of sharing resources, it has an express interest in ambushing and killing other machines since it's the whole deal of a sniper. This is by design, humanity did not create robots with cooperation in mind. They were not made to work together. That said, you won't even know P0LAR is there untill it's too late. Maybe if one is lucky enough they can out manouver the machine's precice shots. Machines weren’t really made to parley, but P0LAR might be open to it if given incentive.

If P0LAR thinks that somebody might get to close and discover the machine from its sniping position it can activate a special cloaking mechanism that turns it nearly invisable to the naked eye as well of letting it hide from advanced scaners and even thermal scannig methods.

Touching back on combat again, P0LAR was made with precition in mind. It excels at spacing, and that makes it a hard foe to fight against. Especially since most machines really can’t change up the way they attack. While it may not have all the complexities of its successor models, V1 and later V2, it is no less varied in terms of its kit, if it so wishes to switch from sniping to an other form of combat. The key difference is to it and V1 is that it has more durable plating. While this does offer it more protection, it also means that it doesn’t have any sort of blood absorption capabilities. All blood intake must be done manually. It’s inconvenient, but it has served P0LAR well thus far. Its tactics revolve around its ability to snipe the enemy from a far whilest being almost undetechtable. When dealing with an enemy who wants to stick close to it, P0LAR will go out of its way to stay outside of their range while still being able to attack. If it is stuck fighting an enemy that is trying to stay away from it and fight from afar, P0LAR will resolve to either of two options: either try and snipe them from their current distance, or getting even farther away so that its opponent has to close the gap while P0LAR gets the oppertunity to snipe it. Since robots are often specialized as either-or, it’s very rare for P0LAR to run into a foe who can actually swap between melee and range the way it can. It will swap its weapons accordingly depending on how close it is to its target, or of it wishes to stick to what it was made for, it will just snipe the enemy, no matter on how far they may be. P0LAR is actually designed for ranged combat explicitly—it’d be more accurate to say that it is really good at getting a good shot in when given a window of opportunity. Its left arm has a function known as the Scoperifle. To put it precisely, an entire rifle opptimised for long ranged shots can fold out from the arm and fold back in when not in use. It shots very fast, semi-explosive projectiles from this rifle. The projectiles will either kill P0LAR's target with one well places shot, or of the target survives an explosion will acure to where it was shot, either killing them then or heavily damaging them further.

P0LAR’s appearance is very similar to its successor models. Only a discerning eye would be able to spot the differences, like the Scoperifle or its thicker chassis. It is also taller than V1, standing at around 5'3", while V1 stands at around 5ft, though P0LAR is slightly shorter than V2, as V2 stands around 5'5". It may not be as complicated as V1 in terms of its inner mechanisms, but its design is a pinnacle of engineering. Its plating is almost completly snow white, and it has black underplate. It has a vaguely humanoid shape that makes it seem unassuming. This robot is anything but. It may not have been made for dircet face to face combat, but it retains the warlike qualities of the other machines that were around during it's time. Its head is remarkably similar to a security camera. It has a single lens in the middle that glows with icey pale blue, almost cold white light. This is its optic system. It does not have a face to make facial expressions with. P0LAR’s head bears the mark of its make; it has its serial number and its barcode printed on both sides. The numbers are spic and span. Around its neck there's a white fluffy cuffed ring out of white fur, reminisant to winter jackets that have these cuffs around the edge of the hood, which P0LAR has too, for asthetic purpusoses though. It prides itself on its appearance, and it has a little bit of knowledge of its own upkeep due to the fact that it has to take care of its own systems. For that reason, its chassis is surprisingly well kempt. Speed is a very important part of P0LA's’s design, as it needed to be able to switch place quickly, as well as make quick escapes when its location got revealed. With that in mind, it was made to be able to dash and sprint around and do so efficiently. It has four white glowing wing-like appendages protruding from its back that serve to make the robot aerodynamic. The colour is white at the base and fades to an icey blue as it reaches the tip. The wings do not offer flight, that is not one of their functions. They do serve as weapon storage, though. P0LAR keeps its plentiful ammuntion within the white and blue part of its wings, as well as hoard some weapons if it wishes, allowing it to walk around with an entire arsenal at its disposal. P0LAR also has four tail like appendages, thin cable like struckrues that end in a bigger cylnder at the end emitting the blue glow of a blue flame. These help P0LAR ancor to various places as well as boost it when sliding or sprinting. All in all, while P0LAR never reached full scale production, it still was a very effictive sniping unit, even when it's usage became less and less with the introduction of the Sentry.
