Ozzie the Chameleon

Ozzie, now known by his alias as the Chameleon, is a major antagonist of Andy Land's 2026 point-and-click horror game Endacopia.

He was once an ordinary resident of Timesville who fell into a coma. Believing him to be a lost cause, his friends took him off life support and buried him alive, not knowing that Ozzie would eventually wake up. Driven mad, he found the corpses of the graveyard to be his friends, and grew vengeful over the town that he grew up in, slowly but surely killing the town's populace and turning them into puppets.

Appearance: The Chameleon is, as the name implies, a lanky anthropomorphic chameleon with green scales. His arms are unnaturally long and bent.

When wandering around Timesville at night, the Chameleon is completely blanked in shadow.

Ozzie was once an ordinary resident of Timesville (if implied to have already been a criminal beforehand), seemingly friends with a frog named Thomas, an unnamed rabbit, and a hedgehog simply known as "T". One day, Ozzie fell into a coma and was pronounced braindead. His friends, believing there was nothing to be done for him, decided to pull him off life support and bury him, not knowing that he was still alive.

Eventually, Ozzie woke up, startled at the sight. Ozzie grew mad, developing a fascination with corpses and slowly seeing them as his friends. Out of his mind, he dug himself back up and started stalking and recording his former friends before killing them all. Thomas was his very first victim, his body unable to be found by police for examination, with his unnamed rabbit friend similarly following suit. T would know something was up, but was unable to do anything about it as he found out too late. Afterwards, Ozzie would hook up the corpses of his former friends and use them as puppets for his disturbing shows.

Ozzie, now known as "the Chameleon" by the townsfolk, would not have his rampage stop at just his former friends, going after all sorts of people who lived in the town, with a hidden frame in his VHS tape implicating a mountain of bodies to his name. Of particular note are Charlie and Chloe, a father and daughter who were both anthropomorphic dogs, both living in a shack near town. Charlie was found lying face down by a dumpster, his body covered in dried blood and bruises, his head seemingly bashed in, and his clothing ripped and covered in dust. Chloe, meanwhile, was found dead near the shoreline, reeking of decayed vegetation.

T was presumably one of the last victims of the Chameleon, seemingly writing autopsy reports on the various deaths in Timesville. Concluding that something was up, he eventually resigned himself to his fate, with the Chameleon finding and killing him. Afterwards, the Chameleon would hook up the corpses of his former friends and use them as puppets for his disturbing shows.

One of the last known victims was Arthur, a bear whose shut-in attitude kept him from going out and meeting the other residents. Accumulating junk so high it filled up his home, a mid-life crisis caused him to snap out of it, heading up to the balcony to admire the view and prepare himself. Unfortunately, the Chameleon broke into his house, pushing him off the balcony and killing him.

Due to the rumors of a serial killer going on, the town hall was hastily refurbished to double as a condo where everyone is forced to live in for safety reasons. This also ultimately mean that Arthur's house, which a villager named Whiskers was meant to purchase, was no longer up for sale, with the bridge to it being destroyed.

Ozzie can be theatrical, but when he's pissed off he makes smartass retorts and bluntly replies, short and straightforward.

(In post-burial AUs, he wears an olive green turtleneck when he was alive.)
