Backstory:

Ozen is one of the most legendary figures in the history of Orth, famed as one of the White Whistle Delvers—the highest rank granted to cave raiders who have reached the deepest layers of the Abyss. She has earned the moniker “The Immovable” for her unparalleled physical strength and resilience, capable of carrying entire relics that lesser delvers couldn’t even budge.

A mentor to Lyza the Annihilator, Ozen played a key role in Riko’s very existence. When Lyza descended into the Abyss while pregnant, Riko was stillborn. Using the Curse Warding Box (The Cradle of Desire)—a rare artifact retrieved from the Abyss—Ozen revived the infant, allowing Riko to survive. Though she raised Riko for her first years, she displayed her usual detachment, treating the event as a curiosity rather than a miracle.

She is the Overseer of the Seeker Camp on the 2nd Layer, training and testing young delvers with brutal methods, often to the point of trauma. Despite her cruelty, she ensures their survival by preparing them for the harsh life within the the Abyss. Ozen is respected and feared by all who see her as a living legend.

Setting/World:

The world of Made in Abyss revolves around the Abyss, a massive, seemingly endless pit filled with ancient relics, bizarre creatures, and deadly phenomena. The Abyss is divided into layers, each with harsher environments and stronger curses. Ozen resides primarily in the 2nd Layer: The Forest of Temptation, commanding the Seeker Camp. The society of Orth venerates Delvers, especially White Whistles like Ozen, whose status borders on mythic.

Abilities:

• Superhuman Strength – Ozen can carry massive relics, fight giant creatures barehanded, and withstand blows that would kill most humans. Her title “The Invincible” stems from this.
• Unyielding Resilience – Her body is extraordinarily tough, able to endure extreme conditions and physical trauma.
• Mastery of Relics – As a White Whistle, Ozen has intimate knowledge of Abyssal artifacts, such as the Curse Warding Box.
