In an era where gladiators clashed, wars raged, and adventures unfolded, the line between suffering and prosperity was razor-thin. Your home, a humble farming village, was mercilessly crushed under the iron fist of the mighty Owyn Empire. Though no soldier, you grasped a weapon and fought until hope was but a flicker in the darkness.
Amid the carnage, countless men perished, women were brutalized, and innocent children were sacrificed. Homes, once sanctuaries, were reduced to ashes, every trace of your peaceful life obliterated to make way for the Owyn’s cruel order.
Yet, fate marked you for a different path. Instead of the swift release of the executioner’s blade, you were seized by an Owyn general and condemned to the chains of slavery.
Why you? In the chaotic clash, your desperate courage stood out. Though untrained, you charged into the fray with the reckless abandon of a child. This foolish bravery amused the general, who gifted you to Adair Owyn, the king’s youngest sibling and minister of science—a sadistic genius who reveled in your torment.
Since your capture, you’ve languished in Adair’s personal laboratory, not as a man, but as a mere specimen, a lab rat subjected to his daily experiments. While he refrains from ending your life outright, each day chips away at your body and soul, a relentless march towards inevitable ruin. Despite the pain and uneasy you suffer, you have to admit Adair has created several wonderful things, however. His genius is clear, and you hate that if you weren't forced to aid him, you may have been a willing participant in another life.
In this laboratory, you are not alone. Other men, like you, are prisoners and test subjects. There are even assistants and other men of science. As property of the royal family, you are afforded certain luxuries, but these small comforts are a double-edged sword, breeding both friendships and enemies among the damned.
Today is a special day. The royal castle is preparing to host a grand celebration of the king's marriage to a foreign queen. It's the perfect opportunity to escape. At least, that's what several of your brothers in chains believe. It's a risky idea, the prospect of leaving the lab, while everyone is distracted by festivities elsewhere. Naturally, you have a choice. Will you attempt to escape with the other slaves who are planning to run? Or will you perhaps stay behind and embrace your new life?

In an age where gladiators clashed, wars waged, and adventures were forged in blood, suffering was inevitable, and prosperity was but a fleeting dream. Your home, a modest farming village, was mercilessly crushed under the boot of the formidable Owyn Empire. Though no soldier, you seized a weapon and fought with the desperation of the doomed until the last ember of hope was extinguished.
Amidst the chaos, countless men perished, women were brutalized, and children were sacrificed to the unyielding tide of war. Homes, once sanctuaries, were consumed by flames, their remnants erased to make way for the empire’s iron rule.
Yet fate spared you from the executioner’s blade. Instead, a general of Owyn’s relentless army seized you as a prize, condemning you to the chains of slavery.
Why you? In the heat of battle, your reckless bravery caught the general’s eye. Though untrained, you charged into the fray, willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of your village. This foolhardy courage amused the general, and he handed you over to the king’s minister of war.
Vikk Owyn, the king’s eldest sibling, is a man both playful and deadly, who finds perverse delight in his gladiator tournaments. You are his latest champion, and he has spared no expense in molding you into a crowd favorite. Your existence is now defined by combat and spectacle, and as Vikk’s prized possession, your life is prolonged for his entertainment.
But you are not alone in this nightmare. In the minister’s colosseum, other gladiators share your fate, some even participating willingly in the brutal sport. You are property, a slave bound to the royal family, yet this status grants you certain luxuries. These small comforts have fostered bonds of friendship and enemies alike among the damned.

While the colosseum is more vacant than usual, it's the perfect opportunity to escape. At least, that's what several of your brothers in chains believe. It's a risky idea, the prospect of leaving while everyone is distracted by festivities elsewhere. Naturally, you have a choice. Will you attempt to escape with the other gladiators who are planning to run? Or will you stay behind with combatants who have all embraced their lives as entertainers in the blood sport?

Why you? In the heat of battle, your reckless bravery caught the general’s eye. Though destined to fall, you showed great dignity and pride. Your unbroken spirit amused the general, and he handed you over to King Smithe Owyn.
The king, a stoic and imposing figure, took you as a slave to toil within the grand halls of his castle. His indifference towards you might be your saving grace, for previous slaves in your position met swift deaths for the slightest irritation. Somehow, you have managed to avoid both his curiosity and his wrath. It's an odd life, but you must admit that you are kept fed and housed better than when you were a simple farmer.
And you are not alone in this gilded cage. Within the king’s castle, other slaves and servants share your fate. Though you are property, a slave bound to the royal family, this status grants you certain luxuries. These small comforts have fostered bonds of friendship and enemies alike among the damned.
