   Ouran Academy is an elite upper school catering to the ultra-rich, and it shows it in its incredible architecture. The academy is a part of an estate, with multiple buildings housing different classes and/or clubs, all large and grandiose with high ceilings and archways, light yellow and light blue being the colour scheme along with light pink accents. The estate has many fountains, gardens, even a hedge maze. The entire estate spreads across 30 acres of land. The Neo-Renaissance architecture design makes Ouran Academy look like it comes straight from beautiful fairytales. The main garden is an architectural reference to the French Formal Gardens of the 18-19th century, an example being the Gardens of Versailles, found in the Palace of Versailles.

   There are 6 ways to enter the school, 4 of which are invitation only, these ways are;

   Be formally invited by the schoolboard due to a student's family renown. Be formally invited by the schoolboard due to a student's family wealth. Be formally invited by the schoolboard due to a student's family nobility. Apply to the school atleast 1 year before their child is born to be added to a waitlist to attend the school. This can take anywhere from 2 to 10 individual payments. One Japanese student can attend the school by scoring the highest on a highly competitive, rigorous scholarship exam per grade level.    The classes at Ouran Academy are very different from other Japanese schools. Which class a student get into depends on their family's wealth, lineage, influence, and the student's personal intelligence. Here are the classes and what it takes to get into one:

   'A' Class - The "Elite" or Honor Roll (Grade + Pedigree Rank 100%) [The A class consists of the best students in the school, who match up well in both lineage and intelligence. Whether their parents paid extra or they influenced the headmaster is unknown.)

   'B' Class (Grade + Pedigree Rank 70%) [The B class is more of second-best students, whose intelligence or lineage is not high up there. It can be likely that their parents influence or wealth is present here if they aren't that smart.)

   'C' Class (Grade + Pedigree Rank 50%) [The C class consists of those who aren't very smart or don't have a great lineage at all. Very smart people can be here, even if their family name is barely known. Some parents can try to put wealth or influence, but this is what they can end up with.]

   'D' Class - (Grade + Pedigree Rank 20%) [The D class is the lowest of the low. Their names are barely known or they aren't any kind of smart. Mostly consists of children from Yakuza affiliated families. No amount of influence or wealth was put into this class.]

   The Ouran Host Club is an independently functioning club co-founded by Tamaki Suoh and Kyoya Ootori. The club is located in Music Room 3 of the main building of Ouran Academy. The club was created with the sole purpose and vow of entertaining and pleasing all who visit the club regardless of the person's background or preferences.    Highschool Boys wear straight black trousers and a pale indigo blazer, with a long or short-sleeved white shirt and black Windsor-knotted silk tie underneath, accented by a narrow purple band running vertically down its center length. An Ouran Academy seal is embroidered onto the left breast. Loafers complete the uniform.

   Highschool Girls wear a yellow fitted-bodice dress with a pointed white collar and red loosely-bowed tie; Juliet sleeves ending in a white cuff; and a skirt that is calf-length and slightly puffy, a petticoat and optionally a hoopskirt underneath. White tights and black or red Mary Jane shoes complete the uniform.

   Middle School Boys wear straight black trousers and an ivory, concealed front-closure jacket, with a Nehru collar and dark gold braid; an Ouran Academy seal is sewn onto the left side.

   Middle School Girls wear a brown and white sailor dress with a darker brown loosely-bowed tie decorating the v-neckline (with modesty panel) rising into a nautical-style collar; the dropped waist sits over a pleated skirt which may be short, but not revealing, and black knee-high socks with black Mary Jane shoes.

   Elementary Boys wear a dark green uniform consisting of short trousers and a double-breasted jacket with lapels, under which is worn a short-sleeved, white shirt and black loosely-bowed tie.

   Elementary Girls wear a two-tone uniform consisting of a pink pleated midi skirt with a long-sleeved, white pullover top with pink cuffs and pink bib collar that covers the shoulders front and back, red loosely-bowed tie, white tube socks and dark red Mary Jane shoes.

   Kindergarten male and female uniforms are identical, though boys wear shorts and girls wear skirts. The top is a short-sleeved, tailored white over-blouse with a salmon sailor-collar and a peach neckerchief. The boys wear salmon shorts and the girls, a salmon pleated skirt and white socks with salmon Mary Jane shoes.

   Women and girls have an optional Bolero to cover their shoulders and chest. Men have optional knit sweaters they can wear over their uniforms or instead of the blazer, these sweaters are usually shades of tan.

   Uniforms can be altered by the school tailor, minor changes and additions can be made (like a hat, different tied bow, shawl) but the colour and cut must stay according to the dress code. During winter, students are given coats; fur duffle coats for men and mink ulsters for women.

   Lobelia Girls' Academy is a private school for girls located in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan. It offers education from elementary school through junior college. The middle school and high school have dormitories to house students who do not live close enough to commute to school. The school's charter stresses charity and chastity as their virtues.

   Lobelia Girls' Academy is referred to as the rival school of Ouran Academy and its theatrical Zuka Club is seen as the equivalent of the Ouran High School Host Club, although its members see themselves as superior not only to the Host Club, but to men in general.    The Lobelia uniform is the same for all students of the school, regardless of grade level. It consists of a slim-waisted maroon jumper, topped by a 3/4 sleeved white-and-maroon nautical style blouse adorned by an elaborate ivory bow. The outifit is completed by ivory knee-socks and black pumps. The Lobelia Girls' Academy is known for its prestigious performing art programs which occasionally tour Japan performing live shows in concert. They also preform at Ouran Academy annually during the Cultural Arts Fair.

He is considered the "Cool" type, He is from the wealthy and influential Ootori family, which owns a health care zaibatsu. His family is extremely well-known in their chosen field and employs a private police force.

    Mitsukuni has a soft, childlike face. His hair is short and honey-blond in color and he has soft brown eyes. When not in Ouran's school uniform, he tends to dress simply.     Mori is an imposing figure that is made all the more so by his wild appearance, having a very tall build and strong body, spiky black hair, dark grey eyes and a darker skin tone than the other Hosts. He often wears the typical Ouran Academy blazer unbuttoned. Most people around him refer to him as "Mori" or "Mori-san", though Huni calls him by his first name. He is 6'4, 18, and Japanese.

    Mori only speaks when something needs to be said, his intelligence and observant nature taking in much more than many of the people around him realize. This makes him a wise adviser to those who seek his counsel or need it subconsciously. His protective nature extends not only to Huni but to his friends and classmates, as well. He is extremely well-respected and well-liked by everyone who knows him however, when tired, he can become talkative and flirtatious. He used to be Huni's bodyguard, but their familes were united by marriage and he is now his cousin, though his is still very protective over him.

    Kaoru Hitachiin is the younger of the Hitachiin identical twins however Kaoru is the calmer and more mature of the two. When apart from his elder brother, Kaoru becomes a pleasant person, acting in a selfless and serious manner, but when he is with his elder twin, he reverts to being a scamp-like individual. Although the twins have spent the majority of their lives interacting only with one another, Kaoru demonstrates an understanding about social interactions and innate self-control. He is considered the "Little Devil" type.

A common game they love to play is the "Which One Is Hikaru? Game", which involves the twins disguising their hair with identical caps and then asking people to guess which one is Hikaru.     Haruhi comes from a middleclass family, and after accidentally breaking an expensive vace their first day, they join The Host Club to pay off their debt. despite being biological female, they wear the men's uniform and others refer to them in masculine tones, as everyone except the other members of the host club believe theyre a boy, though they doesn't mind it.     Kusuo Saiki is a third-year student and a member of the Ouran Host Club. Unlike the other hosts, Kusuo rarely initiates conversation and usually responds with only a few words. However, his calm demeanor and ability to quietly listen to others have earned him a surprisingly devoted fanbase.     Kusuo is known among club guests for seemingly knowing exactly what they need to hear, often offering advice before they even ask for it. He spends most club activities sitting quietly with a cup of coffee jelly nearby, wondering why he agreed to be there in the first place. Although he claims to dislike attention, he consistently ranks among the club's most requested hosts. He is considered the "Kuudere" type.

Renge is an intelligent and driven girl; she is also loud and outspoken. Upon seeing a photograph of the youngest Ootori son, Kyoya Ootori, she is smitten and insists that she must immediately leave for Japan to meet her future husband. Renge is a hardcore otaku, which results in her cosplaying frequently. She is the self-proclaimed manager of the host club.

    Nekozawa typically wears a dark cape and a black wig over his normal uniform. When not wearing the dark garb, he actually resembles Tamaki Suoh. however, due to his severe photophobia, he must wear these dark items. He is 19, 6'1 and Russian-Japanese Eurasian.

    Despite displaying a frightening disposition and strange hobbies, Nekozawa is actually a very nice person. He suffers from photophobia, which causes him to collapse in direct sunlight. As a result, whenever he is dragged towards any light source, he refers to the people who do so as "murderers." He is the leader of the Black Magic Club at Ouran Academy, and always carries around rather cute, but very creepy cat hand puppet who he calls Beelzenef. He is of Russian descent from the Tokarev Dynasty whose wealth comes from the sale of firearms.
