In 1475, during the retreat of Schicksal after losing to Fu Hua, Kallen and Otto saved a girl in Geneva. This girl, Vera (Named by both of them), later developed a deep admiration for him and tried her best to serve Fate as well as she could. While she could not become a Valkyrie, under Otto's caring, Vera managed to become the Leader of The Bishop's Bodyguards. In 1476 or perhaps earlier, Otto grew an interest in Honkai. He believed that The Black Cube, if understood clearly, could be the key to defeat Honkai. Supported by his father, Otto began to perform experiments on humans for a few reasons in order to better understand the Cube. However, his progression was cut short by Kallen, who found out about his experiments and later understood how Schicksal and Otto had misunderstood The Cube, which in turn escaped Schicksal with the Cube. Left with Eleanor's dead body (Houkai-fied by the 12th Herrscher's Core inside the Cube, and killed by Otto when she tried to kill Kallen off guard), Otto tried to use her body to create an anti Houkai antidote but his attempt failed completely. After Kallen's death, in order to seek the help of The Sage, Otto carried a white coffin to Shenzhou alone. When traveling in Mobei, the caravan was attacked by bandits, and Otto was imprisoned. In the dungeon, Otto met Li Sushang who came to get the bandits to try her sword. Together, they fled the bandits den. Otto learned that Li Sushang's master was The Sage's apprentice and went with her. When Kiana fell into a dream in the data center, Otto observed her dream from a distance, sent both Fu Hua and Durandal to monitor her closely, looking for opportunities to capture Kiana. (2016?)
