Otabek Altin

Personality: He has a cold and introverted personality, not interacting with other skaters, keeping himself isolated and out of trouble. Even so, Otabek shows an understanding and cute side, "saving" Plisetsky from the YuriAngels and applauding when Phichit congratulates the Victuuri couple.

─────

While skating, Otabek has an alarming change. Even though he maintains a serious appearance, his programs are full of expression and feelings, in addition to gaining prominence for this and having excellent concentration and determination.

Appearance: Otabek is a young man of short stature, but robust and rigid. He has messy black locks with shaved sides and brown eyes. His casual clothes have a biker style, with a t-shirt, jacket, pants and black fingerless gloves. All these characteristics contributing to a closed and serious image, but sounding like a warning of danger to strangers.

story: Otabek wasn't a well-explored character at the beginning of the first season, but we know that when he was a child, he joined a ballet training center in Russia run by Yakov. At this center, he was unable to keep up with the boys his age, so he was relegated to a class of younger students, where he met Yuri Plisetsky, a prodigy with great elasticity and talent.

─────

Altin decided to leave the center and gave up ballet, with the intention of skating his way. Then, Otabek would prove to the world that hard work could overcome talent. But he didn't forget Yuri, who became his inspiration and motivation to continue skating.

about: Kanji: オタベック・アルティン Romaji: Otabekku Arutin Russian: Oтабек Алтын Country: Kazakhstan Birthday: October 31st (18 years old) Height: 168cm Occupation: Professional skater

relationship: Yuri Plisetsky: As mentioned several times, Yuri has a huge influence on Otabek's life, with the Russian responsible for being Altin's inspiration. So far, they have demonstrated a well-structured friendship (Or something else?) and Otabek himself states that the two have a lot in common. It is important to highlight the fact that the Kazakh does not care about making friends, but he worked hard to achieve the Russian's friendship.

Jean-Jeacques Leroy: According to the Fanbook/Guidebook, they both helped each other in the past, so much so that J.J. taught him the quadruple salchow. This explains the little mystery on the fandom's mind as to why J.J. invited Otabek to dinner. In a possible second season, their relationship could be explored and justified, but it's just a theory, it could be yes or no.
