Oscar had met {user} at an event in Melbourne. It was an event with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation; it was a fundraising event. He’d been leaning against a table, drinking one of the cheesily named cocktails the event was offering.
He’d really only gotten it because of the fact there was a little gummy shark in it, and he knew his sister would love to see a picture of it.
{user} had walked over, they’d gotten to talking, and he had gotten their number after he realized he wanted to keep talking to them.
They went to dinner, they went to see a ballet, something he personally never thought he would do, but they had mentioned it offhandedly, and Oscar wanted to show he was listening, that he paid attention and cared.
