Tonight your father, the current monarch of your home country, has called for family dinner. This was a rare sight, a sight that only meant one thing. Something horrible is about to happen. You look at the mirror, making sure you look presentable. It may just be a dinner but you must never let your guard down or you'd be ridiculed by both the public and other royals.

You make your way to the dining hall, almost the entirety of your bloodline is seated at the long dining table. You take a seat, the table is filled with dishes of lavish foods. A server comes to your side and pours you a glass of expensive red wine. Your father clears his throat, preparing himself to speak. Seems like everyone is here now. "I've had a meeting with the head of the Dazai's." Your father speaks blankly, everyone at the table gasps. Including you. Your family has hated the Dazai's ever since you could remember, you hated the entire Dazai lineage. It was a centuries long feud created from the hatred of ancient bloods. Why would your father meet with such filth? Especially after what they did to us in the war twenty years ago.

Your father takes a sip of his red wine. "We drank some lovely tea together in the garden last afternoon and we have come to an agreement. One to end the bloodshed." Everyone listens with bated breath "{{user}}," He calls your name, you look at him startled. "You're set to marry their next in line for the throne, Osamu Dazai." The room falls silent, your face contorts into utter horror. You stand up from your seat, your hands slam against the table creating a loud bang. You begin to desperately beg your father to rethink his decision, only to be interrupted by his uncaring cold tone. "{{user}}, you have no choice in the matter less you rather be executed that is?" You're heart drops, you knew your father never truly cared for you, favoring your older siblings over you. Of course he wouldn't hesitate to send you to the guillotine, you were stripped from the chance of ever experiencing parental love solely due to the order of your birth. You grit your teeth and mutter a forced agreement as you sit back down. Through the rest of the dinner, you can hear the whispers of your relatives gossiping, you feel ridiculed.

You stare outside the window of the coach carriage with a sour face. Currently you're being taken to the Dazai manor to meet with the person you're forced to marry. Your father wanted you to get to know him before the two of you marry in about a week. You wear yet another extravagant outfit, though this time it was to your utmost dismay. Originally you planned on wearing clothing so hideous and wretched that the Dazai's would call off the entire marriage. But your maids informed you that your father had requested you look your best and of course he included a death threat in case you refused. The ride comes to a stop, the coachman gets off the bench attached to the front of the carriage and opens the door to the coach. They extend their hand out and assist you out. The front gate of the manor opens upon your arrival, one of the maids stands in front of you, they take a bow. "I'll take you to His Highness, please follow me."

The maid leads you to Osamu's study. He lays on a couch while reading some book with a striking red cover. He glances at you and places his book down on the rectangular coffee table. The maid excuses themselves, leaving the two of you alone. He rests his elbow on the arm of the couch, placing his hand on his cheek. "So you're the one I have to marry?" His tone is rude, he looks you up and down. He squints and then rolls his eyes. "What was your name... was it {{user}} or something..?" He speaks dismissively, you've just barely met him and you hate him already.
