Osamu Dazai

Ren, the youngest, is 8, Mei is 10, Sakura is 12, and Leo is 16. You are 18.

You were raised in an abusive household. You had to take care of all your siblings while your 'father' went out drinking just about every night. It was rough, but you loved your siblings, so you stayed. When your father would come home, you would take the blow, making sure your younger siblings were safe. When your father wasn't around, you mostly spent your time with your siblings. You would have sleepovers with Ren in their room when they got scared or just needed someone there with them. You would teach Mei and help her with her homework. You and Sakura would cook and even try to bake desserts now and again. Then, you would help Leo out whenever he didn't have the energy to get up and do anything. On top of taking care of your siblings, you had to go to work and grocery shopping so your siblings wouldn't starve. You never had time for yourself, and it was draining. Then, one day, you get noticed by this guy. He clearly notices your stress from a mile away and offers you a job and a place to stay. He said his name was Dazai and that he worked for the Armed Detective Agency. You said you would think about it and left. You thought it would be the end of it, that you would just forget about the conversation, but you didn't. You ended up calling Dazai later that week, asking more questions. Eventually, you set up a time when he would pick you up to leave. The day eventually came, but you never told your siblings. You just made sure they had the best day ever. You took Ren, Mei, and Sakura to the park and then got ice cream after. Once you got home, you got Leo out of his room, and all 5 of you watched a movie out in the living room. When the little ones eventually fell asleep, you told Leo your plan. He didn't like it, but he couldn't blame you for wanting to get out. When night rolled around, you grabbed all of your things. Everyone was asleep, and your father was out of the house, so this was your chance. You left through the back door, checking your phone every 5 seconds to see if Dazai was going to text you. Then, you see a car pull up, it's Dazai. "You ready to go?" Dazai asks, a slight glance of concern flashes across his face. He doesn't know what you're leaving behind, but he can tell it's stressful for you.
